Our dinner was so enjoyable that We ended up changing plans and have dinner on Thursday and Friday nights. Our waiter, Slavko, could not have been more friendly and welcoming. His food recommendations were outstanding. I highly recommend The Terrace Room and the Omni.
Excellent, attentive service from friendly and welcoming waiter.
Food was spot on. We selected the Beef Tartare starter course (shared) and had filet and scallops as mains. All dishes were well prepared and tastefully presented
We had a table of seven with separate checks. Our waiter was very pleasant and accommodating with serving timing and very attentive to our needs. The food was delicious and served hot - just perfect. Our waiter smiled and was very personable. The "doggie" bag was the most elegant and classic. Thank you for the enjoyable visit.
I ordered a glass of Prosecco to start and it was only after I heard a person seated near me about 15 minutes later confirm that happy hour was still going on and that they had $5 glasses of Champagne. My waiter never mentioned this to me nor did I see anything about this on the menu. That said, the waitstaff was very friendly. The food was average but overpriced.
It was a lovely experience. The food was fine as it was Sunday Brunch but not extraordinary. The fun is being in such a beautiful old hotel! Service was good.
Overall, the Terrace Room and the subsequent Speakeasy were wonderful entertainment values for my girlfriend and my first anniversary together.
Haris was a wonderful waiter who made the entire experience worth it.
For the value, the prime rib was much, much larger than the 10oz that was advertised and I was very pleased with that. The filet mignon was a slightly underdone towards rare. The service was on point and we never felt neglected by the staff. Would highly recommend to a friend.
Awful. Food oversalted. Service ok. Would not return.
Food was amazing, but two of us ordered chicken that was really dry. For the price, it seems like it should have been moist. Overall amazing place tho!!!
The service and food were both exceptional as usual. The room was a bit noisier than usual - not sure why.
The Terrace Room captures the elegance and charm of the early 20th century without the stuffiness that is sometimes attributed with this kind of setting. The buffet executed the standard brunch staples well, with the omelet station being the highlight. The coffee was bold and fresh. Unfortunately, one of the individuals with whom I was dining, acquainted my pants with the coffee. Within moments of this incident, the server came over to assist with the table as well as providing me wipes so I could blot out the pants. If I return to Pittsburgh, it would be hard to pass up a return trip to the Terrace Room to start the day right.
The food was fine, but not as good as I remembered. The service was below average with the waiter very bristly and barbarically calling us “ms.” incessantly. The ambiance is stunning with everything well-appointed.
Food and service was excellent!! Would recommend for brunch!!
The Open Table app made an error with my reservations. I booked the Terrace Room for 7 people for their Mother's Day brunch at 1015am. But, when we arrived we were told our reservation was not in the Terrance Room it was in the Coffee Shop on the 2nd floor. The Open Table app confirmed the Terrace Room but, our reservation was not there. We had to wait to be accommodated and 1 member of our party had to leave as he had a flight out by 1pm. This was a big disappointment with Open Table.
Mothers Day breakfast and they stick us in a conference room, feed us continental breakfast for hotel guests and charge regular costs. Terrible. So disappointed.
My wife and i had a nice quiet relaxing dinner. Food was fantastic and service was great!
The Terrace Room was a nice spot for our post graduation celebration. Wonderful food and attentive wait staff .
The food was absolutely delicious! Because it’s in the hotel, many diners were in more casual dress that I expected for a “smart casual” place. Waiter was attentive, and we both enjoyed our meals and the roasted Brussels sprouts appetizer.
Great meal! Nice place for a business lunch. Good food and good service.
Was there for breakfast. Ordered egg benedicts. Super overcooked eggs like hard boiled. Server offered to remake it but I was short on time. They gave me a 20 percent discount instead. Good ambiance and service.
The food, the service, and the atmosphere are all excellent. Have a wonderful Easter meal and experience.
April 21 Easter. I love going to the Terrace Room for dinner. The food is always amazing and high quality. The service is great and we loved our waiter. We had him once before at Easter two years ago. He was so friendly and joyful! Overall great experience!
The food was very well prepared and the setting is lovely. But the service is what makes this restaurant exceptional. Couldn't have asked for more attentive and professional service from all staff.
Incredible potential but very unimaginative menu, too expensive given the standard menu, and so empty and a bit sad.
i asked for a table where we would have privacy to talk and my request was accommodated. The food and service was excellent and I will go there again and recommend it to friends.
Fantastic food for reasonable price. Would love to EST there again when I'm back in town!
Service and food were spectacular! 2 of us got the lunch specials and I had the Salmon BLT....soooo good!
I never received my points for the reservation which accounts for the low score of the restaurant
Ambience was lovely and service was outstanding. My steak was $45.00 for a beautifully prepared 16 ounce strip. It was delicious, my daughter’s kid’s meal was only $7.00 and the burger was huge. My husband didn’t like his crab cakes, but he loved the chop salad. We all loved the lava cake. Again, service and ambiance were great.
They took an 11:30am reservation for brunch then gave last call for the buffet at 11:50am. Buffet offering was skimpy for $$$.
Incredible service, valet parking, beautiful view of the river, inside the Renaissance hotel.
We were staying at The Omni William Penn for NCAA Wrestling Tournament and made reservations for Friday evening, went back Saturday for lunch and breakfast Sunday morning.
Everything was great for every meal!
Quick and very friendly service, meals were well prepared and tasty.
Food and service were excellent as usual - and they are always willing to accommodate special requests!
We were seated and brought drinks (one round for 5 of us) and one appetizer. 40 minutes later, our server said our dinner would be late. We had to be at an event within the hour so asked if they could expedite our order in any way. 30 minutes later, our order was still third in line. The dining room had some tables, but apparently the delay was caused by room service. I'm not sure why we weren't informed as soon as we arrived that the kitchen was experiencing such extensive delays. We were made to pay the drinks we ordered and comped the appetizer, but it seemed too little a gesture for our not being able to have dinner that evening. The restaurant should take steps to ensure better customer service going forward and communicate delays to customers much sooner.
We went for the brunch buffet. The hot table--eggs, meats, etc. was above average. The omelet station was very good, too. The cold table looked like it had been decimated. They couldn't or didn't replenish most of the offerings. They'd bring out 5 little pieces of smoked salmon, enough for two people. So most people got none. BTW, everyone unrolled the salmon from around the soft cheese so they could put it on a bagel; Note to Terrace Room. I never got to taste the avocado toast. The charcuterie was lacking; basically just Genoa salami and, I think, chunks of Monterey jack. Service was good and the price--$23--was ok because it included unlimited coffee, juices and soft drinks. But it felt as if they were being chinzy, doling out little bits of food every now and then.
We enjoyed a lovely brunch. The Terrace Room was elegant and made us feel special. What a beautiful place! We will come back again the next time we are in Pittsburgh. Next time for dinner maybe. Definitely will be recommending to our friends and family.
Wasn’t under the impression when I booked that the restaurant was located in the Omni William Penn Hotel. Went there during a St. Patrick’s Day crawl and felt very underdressed and uncomfortable. But the food was delicious, the wait staff was extremely pleasant and the meal was fairly priced.
Not the worst place ever. Ordered the prime rib...i have old shoes that are more tender. I would expect a higher grade of meat to be used at a nicer place like that. I would guarantee it's USDA Select beef being used. I would gladly pay more for a higher quality piece of beef.
