Another enjoyable lunch at the Terrace Room. As always, the food was delicious and service was excellent--Albert is the best.
Always a lovely place to take out of town visitors and friends.
The food was divine and the service outstanding without being intrusive. Nicolas was our waiter and was very pleasant. We will definitely come back and recommend it
The food is phenomenal and the service was on point.
We went for our 21st Anniversary after reading a lot of good reviews on Trip Advisor and because the menu says they have slow roasted prime rib every Friday and Saturday. We had reservations for Friday, July 27 at 7:30 made through Open Table. When we ordered we were told since they were hosting a big party later, there would be no Prime Rib. We were very disappointed. Our waiter - the only good thing about this place - returned after we placed our order for two of the specials of the day (Bronzini) said he pressed the chef into making the Prime Rib. Well, the Prime Rib showed up as a grossly overdone piece of meat reminiscent of dried out roast beef. The Bonzini was so over-cooked as to be cardboard. For all of this deliciousness -NOT, we paid nearly $100. Also, we were told by our waiter that the kitchen would be closed for the restaurant at 7:00 - our reservations were made for 7:30 but we arrived early, but what it we had shown up on time? I daresay we would have been better off.I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. The next day we went to the The Commoner, a small restaurant attached to the Hotel Monaco which is right next door to the Omni's Terrace Room.
Wonderful! Excellent prime rib special.
We had a fantastic meal with great service. The only negative I can comment on is we were celebrating a birthday, which I made the restaurant aware of when I made the reservation, however nothing special was done. That was disappointing.
My husband and I were in town for a concert. My sister recommended the Terrace Room for our evening in Pittsburgh. The dining room was spacious and warm. The waiters were friendly and helpful. Our dinner was absolutely delicious! My husband had the crab cakes and I had the filet. Both were prepared perfectly. We will definitely go back when we are town again.
Thank you to our server and the staff. I had to guest from out of town and was so proud to show them the place that I live.
Birthday lunch. Nice atmosphere for conversation
The service is phenomenal
Great service and excellent food. The crab cakes were among the best I have had anywhere. Highly recommend.
We have been going to the terrace room for over 14 years and the only reason for not rating it 5 stars is the wine price; food selection was excellent - good accommodation of vegetarians; wine prices were out of this world; over 17 dollars for a 9 ounce pour; overall bill was over 170 dollars for two, including tip; would go there again, but not as often as we used to;
Excellent food and service. A unique atmosphere and beautiful architecture.
The food never disappoints and the waiters they're all interesting characters and good conversationalists!
Awesome service. Food top quality. Crab cakes amazing.
The servers could spend a little less time chit chatting, especially when you are waiting for your check. Before and during the meal there was no problem but when you are finished and want to leave they need to keep an eye out for that.
Stayed overnight and front desk and staff were very helpful and friendly. Historical hotel was pleasant. Room comfortable. Dinner had gumbo that was excellent and a tasty burger.
We went here for Sunday Brunch to celebrate my daughter's confirmation. There were 4 people in our party and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. I think each one of us ate nearly every bite! There was only one minor frustration when the bill came and we noticed that the coffee and orange juice they immediately offered us were $5 each! We had 2 coffees and 4 juices which was a $30 increase to our bill. The way is was so casually offered as soon as we sat (one carafe in each hand of the waiter) we thought it was a part of the brunch. We certainly didn't mind having to pay for what we drank, but it wouldn't have been such a surprise if the price had been more reasonable and it had been more clearly explained.
Went with friends and we had a great time. Food was excellent, wine choices were good, and the dessert was yummy.
The Cedar Plank Faroe Island Salmon entree was fabulous. The salmon was grilled to perfection, and was --hands down -- the best I ever tasted.
First of all, I found a last minute opening for Mothers Day brunch on Open Table, however, it turns out that the reservation was NOT actually for The Terrace Room, but for the breakfast buffet on the 17th floor. This was very misleading and should be clearly stated on Open Table. Luckily, they had a table available for our party in the actual restaurant and we were able to have brunch. Overall, the service was fantastic and the staff were very helpful and professional. However, the food was not up to the usual standard and was disappointing at best. Maybe because it was a preset brunch menu and a busy morning, because this was the first time we had a subpar experience.
Surprisingly average Sunday Buffet
No carving or unique items.
Average, or less
Josh is the best waiter.. He will recommend food for your liking. He is always courteous, polite and knows his menu and drinks........
We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast and truly enjoyed both.
Stunning ambience. Nice large round table which enabled nice conversation. Felt like we were the only ones in the restaurant.
Food was blah at a very high price. Went there for a birthday dinner and will not go back for a special occasion.
The restaurant is beautiful and the menu is also very good. The service was less than stellar. It seemed as though the the restaurant was well understaffed. It took 15 minutes before our waiter came over to us and then it took a while to get a drink. Then he was gone again. I bet he was covering 8+ tables. Dinner was very good and I'd certainly go back because the food was the saving grace. The wine list is very reasonable and there are a lot of choices under $50.
The staff helped me promise to my girlfriend. The staff was AMAZING
We have dined many times over the past years and usually this was for special occasions like Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. The food was tasty and the choices were 4 times the usual amount. The wait staff seemed rush, overworked, and the overall service was not exactly what one would expect from a place of this stature. And lastly, the overall pricing to value is at the high end so that is why we only dine during special occasions.
Dined at the Terrace Room for Easter Brunch along with my husband and 5 year old daughter. The dining experience included a choice a soup/salad course, an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert from a special menu for $59.00. Children could eat for free from this menu but there weren't any child friendly options so we had to order her a meal from the main children's menu. The space is beautiful and the food was very good. Our waiter was friendly but messed up my daughter's order (I said pickles, no lettuce on cheeseburger and we got lettuce, no pickles) and then he totally screwed up my husband's and my dessert order. I asked for mine to go prior to bringing it out and he brought out my layer cake in a glass and then scooped it into a too large take out container. So It was just a messy blob plopped into a container. May try again.
Disappointing Easter brunch. Slow service despite the limited menu. Food was acceptable, but not worth the high price.
I made a reservation that clearly states Terrace Room on Open Table, but when we arrived we were escorted to a alternate ballroom for breakfast buffet only and told that we were not in the Terrace Room for the actual Easter Brunch that we had anticipated. Very disappointed.
Very nice, attentive waiter. The room is beautiful and we had a nice room - no need for a reservation - it was almost empty. My appetizer - tuna tartar which is one of my favorite things - was inedible. The waiter did not charge me. The crab cakes were perfectly fine, but certainly not blow you away or worth the 30 dollars.
Brunch was very good. Wait service was excellent and most accommodating.
The only down spot was,
Breakfast potatoes were cold. Otherwise very good brunch.
A GREAT Saturday Breakfast buffet. Everything you could want! Can order fresh pancakes and waffle off menu also!
I love that the place is classy and elegant but not intimidating. The staff are friendly, welcoming, warm (not snobbish like in some fine dining restaurants). The food was great -- I had steak and it was done perfectly. Having an accessible parking across the street is a plus.
Gorgeous space inside the Omni William Penn. Salad and burger were both terrific. Service attentive. Excellent Bloody Mary buffet at the bar on weekends. Would go back.
Outstanding atmosphere in a classic 1920's hotel. Great service and food. A little expensive but worth it. I ordered the fish tacos with the blue crab soup which were excellent.
