Very happily surprised to find this restaurant. It is very resonable and the food for brunch was great. It was so pleasant and the view was fabulous. Bottomless Mimosas were very enticing as well.....LOL

Vegan dish had bacon in it! . Reservation was ignored and we waited 35 minutes for a table although others were seated. Seating staff was haughty and uncooperative. No apologies or adjustments offered for the problems. Only the waitress was nice although did not offer anything for the food problems. The food was only fair.

Good menu. Our waitress was excellent. But dont count on getting your seating preference request honored.

We had not been to the Terrace Room in years. It is still lovely, with well spaced tables and the beautiful view. Our service was excellent. Good cocktails. Food is basic American and was very tasty. Portions are small, but that works for us since all six of us are over 60. Was quiet and very conducive to conversation until the 17 piece big band started at 7 pm. The few numbers we heard were great -- lots of people dancing. This is a place for "adults", not the 20-30 year olds.

Not the finest food I've had, but it's a beautiful setting, with all tables having fine views of Lake Merritt, and it's a quiet, fairly romantic setting.

The best things about the Terrace Room are the wait staff and the setting overlooking Lake Merritt. The wait staff is attentive and friendly. I would recommend the Terrace Room as a nice place to have a meal. However, the food is only fair. The descriptions on the menu are wonderful but the actual food doesn't come up to its description. For example, the chioppo I had did not have crab. The swan profiterole was stale.

The staff was wonderful, service was quick, view is amazing, and the food is delicious! Love any place that has bottomless mimosas (or bloody mary's) on the menu.

Although I was hoping to see Rodney, singer/piano player, there was a very good trio playing which was a very pleasant surprise! The view is always spectacular and we had a window table, Kevin, the host, saved for us. He is fabulous and we had the same fun, waitress who goes out of her way to check with the kitchen about making sure our requests can be met. It's really the service and view that makes this a great place to go!

This is one of my favorite places for brunch because of the food and food options. We enjoyed the bottomless mimosas and bloody Mary's also. The service is normally great, but we had a fairly slow and distracted waiter.

I came here with my girlfriends over the holidays and it was very nice. This was my first time and I love the dining room atmosphere, set-up and the view. They also had a big Christmas tree set-up, which was very nice to take photos by. The food was ok but I would definitely give it another shot. The view is what really makes it worth it though! A great view of the lake! I would definitely recommend to check and try this place out at least once.

For years I have driven by the Terrace Room promising myself that someday I would stop by. With family in town for the holiday the Terrace Room was a convenient drop in. Was I surprised! The room has a stunning view of the lake of the lake. Service was prompt, friendly and helpful. With some members a tad slow in deciding the server was patient to a fault. The wait was worth it. The menu had a wide range of options all of which were very tasty. Best of all there was a quartet playing selections from the Great American Songbook as well as a range of other favorites. This brought out the dancers which was a floor show onto itself. Check it out!

We had a very disappointing meal. The kitchen just does not have it for quality. The food was extremely disappointing. Service was marginal. We noticed the waitress hands with missing nail polish and chipped nail polish on the other fingers. Achhh.................. Too bad as the building and the view are priceless.

We went to brunch with a friend on Sunday to the Terrace. As you walk in there is a nice jazz ensemble playing and you have a great view of Lake Merrit. A great first impression.

Unfortunately, poor service spoiled those initial feelings. We waited an exceptional time to receive our order, only to have to return one item as it was cold. I'm not sure if the problem was with the wait staff or kitchen, it was never explained.

In an area with other options, I'm not sure we will return.
