About The Terrace - Mission Hill Family Estate Winery
Overlooking rows of Pinot Noir & Chardonnay set against the Okanagan Lake, our outdoor Terrace Restaurant complements our wine’s natural affinities with cuisine that is locally, sustainably, and seasonally sourced. By growing much of our own produce in the estate Varietal Garden and working hand-in-hand with local farmers, we are able to provide a spectacular culinary experience highlighting the bountiful ingredients & world-class wines that characterize this region.
By partnering with local farmers, our menu continuously evolves to incorporate the freshest ingredients. Similar to our philosophy in the vineyards, we have a firm belief in sustainable and bio-dynamic agricultural practices, including local foraging, organic farming, and the Vancouver Aquarium’s OceanWise program. Even our own honeybees help sustain the estate gardens while providing wildflower honey to be used by our culinary team.

The Terrace - Mission Hill Family Estate Winery Ratings and Reviews
Food was average, a bit too fru fru, patrons were of the pretentious variety. Jerome our water was excellent, very attentive and friendly. Wines are VERY overpriced ($22 a glass?!?!) and quite average at best. Come for the experience, and go elsewhere after as you'll leave hungry.
Came for the view, would forgo the restaurant next time and just drink-in the view.
We came at the Terrace for the view. Unfortunately the smoke (BC wild fires) was still there and we were not even able to view the lake... but everything else was fine. Food is great but very limited (small portion) and came before the wine that we had to ask different waiters to get it. In a general way, it is a nice place to stay or date. Suggestion : Wine should be at the same price as shop next door... (VS 3 times above).
Have been on only two occasions, but this most recent dinner was a bit underwhelming. The scenery is great and service is excellent, but both esily outperformed the food. The food was still good, but not special (as you might expect from the location and the price).
A great evening for our anniversary dinner. Evan, our server, was great fun, and made the night enjoyable. We had the pairing menu, and every course was delicious and we certainly left satisfied, and full of wine. The grounds are amazing, and would love to return one day when the smoke is gone, so we can enjoy the views a little more. Certainly a great place to have a special dinner if visiting Kelowna.
Celebrated 30th Anniversary with wife and parents. Great meal, ample portions. Elderly parents were able to share a meal. Ate outside. Lovely atmosphere, lovely server (Maritime girl from Nova Scotia, as are my parents). Easy level entry for folks with mobility issues (like my 87 yr old mother). Excellent wine pairings and they let you sample before deciding.
Great experience. We come back every summer.
Very nice atmosphere and the wait staff were attentive. The menu selection could have been expanded upon. The good was good but I expected better for the prices. The desert was not very good and the server removed it from our bill. When you are billing yourself as a very high class restaurant you need all elements to work and this did not.
We made reservations here for lunch because we had a wine tasting. The view encaptured us and was breathtaking. Reservation was at 2pm, we made it there in time but the hostess asked us to wait. She was still seating walk in's. I asked to be on the left side which is closer to the view but she said there was only the one by the hostess stand available but then seated another walk in right after us on the side I wanted. (No principal there once so ever.) The food was good, nothing spectacular. It's over priced for the portion though. The service was amazing. She was friendly, prompt, professional & had a genuine smile. I wouldn't recommend this place to eat at, don't let the view fool you for when you sit, the shades hide it anyway. However; if you feel like having a glass of wine & enjoying the live singer than this is the spot. Cheers.
We had a lovely experience! We were greeted at the entrance with pleasing conversation and then seated at our table. Our waiter was able to read the mood and pacing of our table and provided excellent service. From the bread at the beginning through to our coffee at the end the food was fantastic. The shrimp linguine has the sweetest and most tender shrimp I've ever eaten. We were on vacation when dining here and of our two weeks eating out at a variety of different restaurants I wiuld have to say this was by far the best meal we enjoyed. Anyone looking for great service, food, wine, and a stunning view should definately give The Terrace a try.
I went there for the first time in June and was impressed by the food, although expensive it was worth the experience. I've decided to bring my kids to try the burgers as this is the first time they are in kelowna. The creek brisket burger was terrible because it was chewy and gamy which made me think it might not have been beef. They tell me the meat has been aged for a week which is what gives it the gamy flavor. If I knew that I wouldn't have ordered it for my kids. The waiter never once filled our water cups. I waited until it was empty and had to call him over twice to do so. I also asked him how big of a portion is the beet salad and he assures me it was enough for a meal. Well, the portion was just like a side order of salad (handful of greens with a few small chunks of beets and a little bit of goat cheese). Needless to say I had to order some bread to fill myself up. I was very disappointed this time around with the service and the food along with its inaccurate recommendation. I would probably not recommend this restaurant after all.
The food was cooked perfectly, the menu was so good, I wanted to try everything, the wine was exceptional and the service was the best in the Okanagan. The views were unfortunately not so good because of the smoke in the valley but I have seen them before. The most important items were food and drink and both were 10 out of 10.
My boyfriend and I came in for dinner on his 24th birthday. I haven't been in a few years so the menu had changed, but it definitely didn't disappoint! We had Evan as a server who was excellent and very knowledgeable, suggesting wine pairing (the Syrah was amazing with the duck!) and pointing out his favourites. As a young couple it was nice to have a server we could relate to and he did an excellent job making us feel welcome and making the day special! All in all we had a great experience and will definitely be back in the future.
The service and views were lovely at Mission Hill Terrace restaurant. The food was well presented, although the helpings were not large it was enough food for me. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone celebrating a special occasion, or someone looking for a quiet scenic dining experience.
I requested a table on the view side as we had out of town guest we wanted to see the view while dining but when we arrived, they said that was for the wine members only even thought they had lots of tables open on that side. Prices are very $ for what you get especially the wine. $10 for a tasting, which is 2 oz? Menu is very limited… not sure well dine there again.
Bit disappointed that the noise levels were sky high as band was setting up for Jewel concert and testing the sound..... no one mentioned that this would be going on when we made the booking!
Your wine is nice but the prices are over the top.... it's not that special and neither was your " deconstructed cheesecake"! All in all very disappointing.... especially as you had been recommended by my son who did his uni exchange in Kelowna 2 years ago. ( from Australia)
Enjoyed a family friendly meal at The Terrace. I've found the menu more appealing in previous years and found this year to be good but not as exceptional as past dining experiences here. Hoping they get back on track for our next annual visit
Beautiful setting and interesting menu but tiny portions. Our waitress was lovely but I ordered a wine glass from one of the new wineries and they couldn’t open the bottle. After four people tried I finally opted for the regular list Chardonnay and that was served complimentary at the end of our meal.
