Wine prices are exorbitant for the chincy 5oz. pour, adds insult to injury. Inattentive wait staff, clumsy runners, entrees delivered on top of first courses still on the table. Blechh! We have been here a number of times and previously enjoyed every visit. Get it together please, we like you.
We celebrated a friend’s birthday there. The service was fantastic. Everything we ordered was delicious. We would definitely come back here again. We sat outside by the pool. Great atmosphere.
Greatly enjoyed our dinner outside on The Terrace at the Langham. Our first since the pandemic, but still following a tradition of evenings at the Langham that we have enjoyed for more than fifty years. The food and service and atmosphere were all appreciated as much as ever.
Great service! We will definitely go back. Everyone was attentive and professional. The ambience was wonderful.
Good good good good
Overall, it was fine, but the service was extremely slow, which was a great shame!
This restaurant has gone down hill during Covid. The food was marginal and the service less so. The environment is so beautiful, it is disappointing to have such marginal food. Meat was overcooked and the pasta was undercooked. So everything was on average, average.
Beautiful surroundings, delicious food and wonderful service. Every time we dine at The Terrace it is a delight.
Exceptional quality in all areas--food, service, ambience. In terms of the staff, Emy and Miguel took splendid care of us. As to the meal itself, the salmon and the vegan meatloaf were very well prepared and served in highly attractive fashion. IF the Terrace setting were absolutely full of patrons and the adjacent pool filled with children, the noise level would undoubtedly exceed "energetic," but a slightly earlier reservation time avoided such problems. Prices are quite high but the attractiveness of the setting and the caliber of the food justify the prices. Definitely worth a return visit.
The food is really good.
Ambience is superb.
The place is marvelous.
Birthday Brunch in bucolic setting in the City.
All my friends that I took there enjoyed the ambiance and food.
We we celebrating our anniversary and the Langham staff made it a memorable evening
After many months of covid-caused isolation, we really enjoyed a wonderful evening at The Terrace – with delicious food and superb service.
Creative dishes, excellent service and a beautiful atmosphere made a perfect dining experience.
The Langham keeps improving their service and overall standards over time. We ate here for my birthday breakfast while also staying in the hotel, and it was a lovely experience. They made me feel safe, they were clean, following all covid protocols, and the food was just as wonderful as the service.
We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary recently and decided to start our day off with breakfast at The Terrace at the Langham. We have been several times before and they never disappoint- the food is delicious, the service is impeccable and the location is beautiful. Highly recommend for any occasion breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Very enjoyable. Crew is so nice!
Felt safe and clean
very disappointing. although thee food was pricey, we wuld not have minded, if the rest of e service was good. the se, some items cold and a major issue wth payment. They could not process more than 3 credit cards and could not take a combination of cash and credit cads!
Great surrounding; mediocre to average food quality; limited selection. Perhaps the pandemic is partly to blame.
I’m really amazed how The Terrace made my birthday experience outstanding. My husband and I celebrated my special day and it proved to be the best decision we made. We ordered two appetizers, roast beets with pecan salad and the flat bread with arugula. Both tasted light and delicious. My main course was Hokkaido scallops and my husband had the vegetarian meatloaf with olive mashed potatoes. In my scallops were wild mushrooms and celery root. Both incredible. I was stuffed. Then the waiter gave me a slice of chocolate cake for my birthday which was really a very nice gesture. I didn’t get his name but he took care of us splendidly. We were stuffed and happy. Thank you so much!!!
I went to the Terrace last week expecting to sit outside, but LA County had just opened up indoor dining, so my husband and I opted for an indoor table since it was cool outside. We ended up being one of just two tables seated in the dining room, so it wasn't hard to put plenty of distance between us and the lone other diner.
The food was great. I had the Brussel Sprouts appetizer, which I loved, and my huband was a big fan of the shrimp appetizer. I am not vegan, but since I am also not a big meat eater, I was pleased to see a vegan meatloaf dinner on the menu, which was delicious and filling. My husband devoured his braised short ribs with polenta dinner. We were pretty full, so we did not try any desserts.
The service was friendly and capable. In retrospect, I suppose some low music might have been nice since it was SO quiet inside.
Great atmosphere, good service very relaxing. Food is also good.
We love coming here since it’s where we had our wedding reception while it was still a Ritz Carlton. We haven’t been here in a while and while the service and ambiance are great, the food needs improvement.
Great atmosphere! Good food and good service also.
The Langham is a world-class resort, and we had a first class dining experience at The Terrace at The Langham! Every employee we came into contact with was outstanding! They have an amazing staff! The food was delicious, we had appetizers to share, fantastic main courses, and a dessert that was out of this world! I'm not big on chocolate cake, but their chocolate cake was the best chocolate dessert I've ever tasted! One yummy course after the next, under the stars, made for an unparalled dining experience!
Resort was beautiful. Outdoor seating was very nice, next to the pool. Also very quiet and very enjoyable.
French Onion soup was great! Food was excellent. Nice quiet atmosphere. Great service. Birthday cake treat was a nice surprize!
Amazing breakfast at the Langham. Such a beautiful place! So peaceful, delicious food and fantastic service always. Will come again!
They did a great job of taking fine dining outside. Many precautions were taken to keep everyone safe and comfortable. It is a wonderful place.
Nice shaded location overlooking the pool. Food is terrific.
Beautiful ambience, excellent service, delicious food.
Despite having made a reservation, they did not have a table available for us so they ushered us to a separate section of the restaurant that was detached and so painfully empty... the food was fine but if I was going to sit in that dark, empty section—I would’ve just had take out and been comfortable at home.
We celebrated my husband’s birthday as a family. Great service and wonderful food.
Great service! Perfect for an intimate birthday celebration.
We have been guests at the Terrace for many years. It is noticeably slipping in quality and service (mostly their check-in staff). The wait staff continues to be superior. We had a large group we had to supplement with Open Table reservations from various guests staying in the hotel and the check-in folks ignored those reservation several times despite us having our extra guests waiting. The manager assisted to some extent to make it right. Food quality is OK but when your brunch charge is close to $80 per person with tax and tip, "OK" is not where you want to be. This restaurant serves the entire hotel and is small by that account so a reservation should be made. The ambiance is lovely and makes up the experience. One tip: if you want to partake in the Dim Sum portion of the brunch, don't start at 9. While their listing does indicates Dim Sum starts at 10, you could easily miss it. This is really the only show in town if you are a guest assuming you don't want to drive to another restaurant so book ahead particularly on Sunday.
Great service. Beautiful ambiance. Food was excellent.
that day service was super slow. it took forever for our food to arrive. our waiter was great but the server who poured us water and packaged my leftover was not very nice AND at the end of the meal he took my leftovers to package but never brought it back. i do like to go to the terrace still since it is inside langham and after our meal we walked around the beautiful hotel. parking is valet and of course is expensive
My wife requested a vegetarian version of the risotto; just some sautéed veggies on top would have been fine, but what she got was very undercooked risotto (crunchy) and 2 tomatoes on top. I guess asking for adjustments is asking for chef retaliation 😂.
The manager tried to make it right by making the meal free but kind of wanted dinner, you know? Wife had to leave hungry. This place is really swanky, but all show.
I got a lamb dish that was just ok.
Went in mid 2019 so maybe the cooking staff has shifted out since 🤷♂️. Hope so.
