My friend and I enjoyed a very nice lunch after a morning at the Spa. The grilled cheese and tomato soup are delicious. The hotel is beautiful.
Lunch menu seems more limited and pricey. Ordered Cobb salad tossed, but it wasn’t served that way so I had to send it back.
Really awful service. Food took 45 min server never apologized or explained why. Could’nt even enjoy my food because I had a hungry baby and Paid full price
I've never been disappointed with the food and service here! The staff is very attentive:)
Everything that I've tried so far is delicious, brussel sprouts with bacon bits, scallops, braised pork belly...the list goes on! For dessert Ihighly recommend the lemon poppy seed cake with lemon grass infused vanilla ice cream.
Our first visit to The Langham, it will not be our last. Lovely setting, fantastic service and a great range of food on offer at the buffet. The fresh egg station was a highlight (as well as the mimosas). Thanks to all the staff for your attentiveness, definitely a great Sunday Brunch spot. We just need to return to try the rest of the menu.
Always a treat to visit this beautiful place.
I reserved a table for my wife's birthday dinner, also specified such a special event on the remarks section in Opentable. However, there was not even a candle display on any of our desserts. The prime rib that my wife ordered was overcooked, but I do not want to make a scene at her birthday dinner. Even though there was a valet parking discount for dinner guests, the amount they charged us for parking after the discount was still unreal. The only thing that I like about the Terrace was the quiet ambiance, and it was not difficult to book for Sunday night dinner.
It is a wonderful restaurant.
The ambience was beautiful the food was pretty good the prices we’re about what you’d expect being at a five-star hotel yet at 7:30 in the evening still having kids screaming in the pool nearby playing Marco Polo was a little bit irritating
What a great location, you feel as if you're out of Los Angeles maybe Santa Barbara. The lunch with spa style, very healthy
Special Occasion - expensive but worth it. Lovely evening.
Lovely placd for Sunday brunch, definitely and upscale experience.
Outdoor poolside makes you feel on vacation. The $8 valet charge for eating there plus tip does not.
All staff were professional helpful courteous attentive gave excellent service. We had an amazing experience
Anniversary. Our waiter gave us a delicious dessert for our anniversary.
Loved it! The Sunday brunch was phenomenal
We went for a late breakfast/early lunch. The waiter did not bring my toast with my breakfast. Had to remind him 3 times. Each time, he said someone would bring it right away. He finally brought it 60 minutes after my breakfast was served and everyone else at the table was done eating, even though I insisted that I no longer wanted it at that point. I also asked if they could bring a dessert for my sister’s birthday. They forgot and had to be reminded. They brought it 15 minutes after the table was cleared and we were ready to leave. It’s a beautiful restaurant and the food was good (not great), but service was very disappointing.
Service was very slow.
We went to lunch at around 2:30 and the service was atrocious. The waitress disappeared at some points. And it took 10 minutes to even get water. Then no one could figure out how to use my OpenTable credit card voucher... very frustrating!
Came here for DineLA & was given those menus, but then the waiter let us know after we put in our order that DineLA was over. No exceptions were made to accommodate. Food was underwhelming (had the octopus pasta). Scallops on the other hand was good. We were seated outside. Place was not busy at all/vibe was very dull unfortunately.
I thought the Terrace was lovely. I've eaten here many times. This seemed to be somewhat new: lots of ground pepper garnish on plates and food. I really don't like pepper...and I wish the menu had mentioned this. Not everyone is a fan of pepper.
Our waiter was extremely inattentive, so much so that I needed to flag down another waiter to get any service. (The other waiter was very apologetic and helpful, as we would expect.)
Service terrible. Food so, so. Flies all over the terrace. Expensive. When asked for a coffee cup to go, I was charged $4.00, even though I’d paid for coffee with my meal. Definitely a place to avoid for an important breakfast meeting.
went for dim sum brunch. dim sum was just ok. very difficult for roast beef station carver to find medium temp slice. everything was well done. server didn’t offer included mimosas.made us wait for 25 minutes when we had a 10am reservation. there were a number of empty tables when we were seated. so why were we made to wait? clearly staff was not organized or prepared to start the day. definitely overpriced at $58
The service was less than what I expected. Our beef dishes was ordered to medium rare, but came out to medium. Service was overall mediocre. It took a while for our server to arrive. Our hostess had to take our orders.
Rudy, our server, was great!
This is a lovely location for a business lunch, a special lunch, or any lunch at all, really. The ambiance is classic and casual. It is perfect and the food was divine. The only issue we had was that this is, indeed, a hotel, and the hotel's pool is next to the restaurant, so you get the usual kids yelling. Not a big deal. There was a couple with a baby - who allowed the baby to scream - which wasn't so great, but overall, we enjoyed it very much. Highly recommended, sans baby screaming.
Beautiful Ambience; Food and Drinks were great.
Truly disappointing. We went for Sunday brunch while visiting the area. We had a reservation but had to wait. Our wait staff was very polite but very inattentive. We waited so long to order, long wait for food, had to ask for water refills from different server, had to ask for the check, etc. Food was Ok but nothing spectacular. My omelet was cold but others were fine. It is a nice setting but we would never go back. There are lots of great places to eat in Pasadena that cost less and provide far better service and frankly better food too.
Always loved the brunch here but this time there was no real cheese plate, no fish, and not one vegetable to be found!
This was a pre-concert dinner and my girlfriend and I enjoyed ourselves so much we were 30 minutes late to the event!
I usually get excellent service at the Langham but I ate at the Terrace twice yesterday. Both times, the service was poor. Servers were not around. I had to flag to get water, coffee, napkins...
Service staff hustled like crazy, but were inattentive to our party. Understaffed? Buffet offered bottomless mamosas , but couldn’t get staff to pour.
The setting is elegant California casual and the service was exceptional: the food itself pales slightly in comparison to the overall vibe. We strolled the beautiful grounds after lunch, taking in both a wine tasting event on the lawn and finished with a drink and sorbets in The Tap Room. All in all a wonderful afternoon.
We had the worst service and the worst meal. My husbands steak was like a piece of leather and overall I would give this restaurant 2 stars. Foe such a pretty hotel with all of the looks of fine decor the food is just terrible.
Brunch with family.
Delightful, relaxing, attentive but not overbearing service. Hamburger delicious and my turkey was enjoyable. Liked how the delicious fries were served...the little fry basket
A wonderful afternoon after visiting The Bowers Museum in Santa Ana. (We live in PlayadelRey, so it was worth the travel!!!)
I was underwhelmed by the Sunday dim sum brunch at the Terrace. I did not think it was a good value. Overall the food was good but I expected more for the $50+ price tag.I felt that there should have been more dim sum options since it it is advertised as a dim sum buffet. The dim sum were decent but not wow. The other breakfast food items were good but not too much selection. For the amount of money there should be more seafood like crab legs and shrimp cocktail. I did enjoy the congee, smoked salmon, and waffles very much. The desserts were also good but they never refilled the macarons. Service was mixed. Generally very good, the staff helped me to navigate opening the steamer baskets to get my items, but were slow to pick up plates and never asked to refill our drinks.
servers should treat English speaking Asian nice as well as Anglo American ..
i paid 20% tips for my breakfast, server only came to check table one time without my eyes language. and my next table got so many times because he is a ....
important here: if i had sent 10 Asian and one white to your restaurant in different days by my law firm , you would have a big punishment in the court room. i would very appreciate if you can confirm you receiver this very rare comments
Service was horrible.
