The Tenderloin Room
Pepperloin a la Tenderloin
tenderloin wrapped in bacon & charbroiled, then topped with our famous Tenderloin Room steak sauce
poached in mixed spices and served with classic cocktail sauce
Terrific experience every time! Thank you Spiro!!
The Tenderloin Room will always be one of my favorites. Please come back soon!
We have been celebrating special occasions at the Tenderloin Room for years. We were so happy to celebrate our anniversary with them this year. We had Spiro as our server and he did not disappoint. He provided us with excellent service. Even though the menu was limited, due to the closures, the food was delicious! The decor and the ambience, were perfect!
The Tenderloin Room is a very fun mix of high brow and low brow. The food was melt in your mouth delicious, even though the menu was fairly simple, and service was absolutely top notch. The place has a vague saloon theme, noticeable only through the honky-tonk piano music playing gently in the background and the plates which were labeled with the name of the restaurant in and old times western font. Overall, an excellent experience.
It’s my favorite St. Louis restaurant.
The service is excellent. A place where servers can read the table and know exactly when you need attention and when to remain in the background.
And if you want a steak cooked perfectly, this is the place to go.
Food was phenomenal! Beautiful setting and amazing service!
Great fun, good cocktails & Sea bass & steaks were outstanding!
Service by all wonderful. Good adherence to Covid 19 precautions. Masks & Social distancing.
Food always good!
Daniel was the best. He was our waiter. Very friendly and helpful staff
The pepperloin was fantastic and service superb, well worth a visit.
Delicious entree. Very, very, disappointed and surprised bar not open. Even with
covid, why can't bar be open and distance bar stools.
Excellent service and food! I can't wait to return.
The food is delicious, service by Spiro is outstanding, and the room has been remodeled to reflect a more modern atmosphere.
Most enjoyable in all respects
The food and service here has always been outstanding. Truly some of the best we have experienced. However, the Tenderloin Room now has new owners who have sought to update it's look. It failed. The new sconce light fixtures look like bug zappers. The ceiling lights look as if any moment Yoda will fall through a stargate. The new mirrors are a tacky touch of Vegas. The only item that works is the light blue upholstery. We will continue to go there because of the staff, food and high quality service. But the ambience has been ruined. It looks gaudy, mismatched and tacky
Food was excellent quality, prepared perfectly, and tasted great.
Outstanding food and service! We will most definetley be returning for dinner.
During these difficult times for Restaurants-The Tenderloin Room is getting it more than right. Masks required except at table. Bar area closed, tables more than socially distant, paper -one use menus.
Great staff and service. We had a wonderful meal with friends, bringing back some normalcy!
Stayed at the hotel and enjoyed a spectacular sea bass for my wife and the signature tenderloin for me. Elegant dining
The restaurant had just opened after the CIVID closure and their menu was limited. However, the tables were very well spaced apart. They had hand sanitizer available on several tables. The service was excellent and we had a great meal to celebrate our anniversary. We had a lovely evening!
You guys really dropped the ball. Will never use open table again. Soooooo unreliable. You took a reservation for a restaurant that wasn’t even open... You are really on top of your game. This is the second time we have had a problem with a reservation . We are done !!!!!!
Food was wonderful and updated dining room was beautiful.
Been on a tour of St. Louis Steakhouses now for over a year. Our first stop was the Tenderloin Room and it was the favorite of group. We had to go back and see the reboot. It only got better. Some nice menu additions and subtle decor improvements have modernized this classic while still keeping the traditional feel. Nothing but positives. It’s my top pick for a steakhouse night out in STL.
Our server, Daniel, was utterly excellent. He knew exactly how much space to give while also remaining involved enough so that my girlfriend and I were never left unattended, yet also never felt impeded upon as other waiters I’ve had in the past have done.
The food was excellent! My only complaint regarding the food was that I physically didn’t have a larger stomach to consume more. I would recommend the restaurant to anyone looking for a great date night!
The meal was delicious! Service was wonderful. We will return!
Absolutely amazing from service and food!!!
The Tenderloin Room has been one of our favorite places for celebrating birthdays and anniversaries. This was our first time back after the change in ownership and changed to the menu. The restaurant looked the same as we remembered; dimly lit and romantic. The service was impeccable as it was in the past. Our favorites (the shrimp cocktail and PEPPERLOIN A LA TENDERLOIN were fantastic. We enjoyed trying out new sides like the ROASTED OZARK FOREST WILD MUSHROOMS and CRISPY FINGERLING POTATOES W/ CHIMICHURRI. The highlight of the night was the warm Gooey Butter cake served with a butter pecan ice cream, which was on the house in honor of my birthday. We had a great experience and will be back to try out other new items on the menu.
Fabulous all the way around
I am on a fairly strict diet and so my impressions regarding the food may be skewed. The sea bass was very good but for the $54 charge I might have expected more. The ambience was superb. The wait staff verged on being overly attentive, but the unfailing pleasant nature of the attention given resulted in an atmosphere that was both efficient and relaxed. A great place for a romantic dining experience ,
Wonderful first time to the Tenderloin Room to celebrate our wedding anniversary! Our server was Jacob and he was fantastic, he made great recommendations and answered all of our questions. Was an absolutely outstanding evening!
Wonderful dinner, beautiful location. I love what the new group has done with such an iconic restaurant...
We had excellent service and wonderful food. We celebrated a birthday and anniversary and had a great time. Make sure to leave room for dessert!
Continuing our tradition- the nineteenth consecutive dinner on or close to Valentine's Day. We liked the new decor. The portions for the side dishes were possibly a little smaller than we remembered. The Tenderloin Room is still a great, old fashioned steakhouse with a quiet, romantic ambiance.
Exclt spot for special occasions. Very attractive, romantic setting, expert help, fine dining.
A wonderful reimagining of a venerable classic St Louis dining experience. Thank you!
How could you not have a wonderful experience? By reputation alone, you know this is going to be a dining experience. Yes, it's going to be expensive, but it's worth every cent. One of the rare times that you can feel what royalty is like! No, I wouldn't go there every week but I would go there whenever I wanted to feel special.
Great food, great service. Enough said. Was our 1st visit to the Tenderloin Room & we’ll definitely be heading back.
Wonderful evening, wonderful food, Best Cherries Jubilee I have ever had.
My steak came out not well done, even had blood still. The steak had no flavor, very bland. My husband was very fatty. For the price i would have expected a higher quality.
Valentines Day and regular tables were replaced with 30 inch rounds. Very tight quarters, and we understand it was due to the high number f two person reservations. Our server, Brian (Bryan?) was polite and friendly. Little bit loud with tables so close together. Food was very good.
