The Teahouse Restaurant
One of Stanley Park’s historic seaside landmarks, this popular meeting spot is minutes from downtown Vancouver and boasts an outdoor fireplace on the restaurant’s patio, which looks out to sunset views of Georgia Strait from the western tip of Stanley Park.
For private events, the Teahouse has three distinct rooms; perfect for seminars, meetings or special occasions of any kind. Each room offers ocean views that are unmatched in Vancouver.
The Teahouse is a contemporary dining experience with a difference, accompanied by the longest sunsets in the city.
To sum it up
Great location and views
Mediocre service, restaurant seemed understaffed or not organized
Waited way too long for our meal then waited way too long for plates to be cleared
Go for a drink on the patio enjoy the view then eat somewhere else until they step it up to the way it used to be
Tyler was an awesome!!! Thanks for making out time so enjoyable!
A young woman served us and she was excellent - even though it was busy she was friendly, attentive and very pleasant. Had a lovely brunch and will happily go again. Many thanks!
Excelente experiencia en familia
Food was good besides my eggs coming out hard instead of soft poached and they had to make it again
need a bigger patio
food was great. You are awesome
I like the bench outside.
I was disappointed. After many years since my last visit, a friend and I went for lunch. The food was mediocre, the decor needs refreshing - good thing it has the stunning setting as the interior lack lustre and life. A child was screaming almost the whole time while parents were on and off their cell phones. That seems to be the norm in restaurants these days so I can't fault this one. But, the food and ambiance were definitely not up to the former reputation of this grand old restaurant.
We came on a rainy weekday. The outside entrance was absolutely beautiful with tulips in full bloom. We were seated in the conservatory section and had a wonderful view, despite the cloudy day. Our server was personable and attentive, we enjoyed him. Our food was good and our birthdays were remembered with a complitmentary dessert. We had a wonderful time!!
This was my first visit, and I was bringing a dear friend for a special intro to Vancouver. Everything about the evening was nearly perfect!
wish they had classical musique too much modern jazz
We had two relatives here from USA. One from Florida and one from Indiana. They were enthralled with the view and the gardens but were truly impressed with the superior quality and service provided.
Many thanks for ensuring their visit to Vancouver before boarding the cruise ship was something they will remember for some time.
great view, food, and service, highly recommend, will come back
good service, great location and view, food is above expectations..
Perfect setting and ambiance, great service, interesting and unusual food, delicious.
Thé food was good however the selection was limited and the wine menu was surprisingly limited.
The service & people...table...food...sunset and don't forget the wine, added up to a fantastic birthday celebration with my lady...thanks for adding to a special evening...Cheers
The food and service were fantastic! We would like to come back and try other things.
We returned here to enjoy our Anniversary lunch, a bit of a trip down memory lane, as we had our wedding reception lunch here in 1988. It was a beautiful day reminiscent of our wedding day, and equally as lovely nestled in the middle of blooming spring gardens, with views out over the ocean, and the serenity of Ferguson point.
A very welcoming hostess greeted and seated us and our server was prompt and kind throughout. The view of the water and nearby plants and trees enhanced the peaceful ambiance in the dining room. Af for the food, although we asked for less dressing on our Caesar salads, we expected to be able to taste it. There was barely any. Our prime rib dinner was just warm. However, we enjoyed the setting, the service and were happy to be there for our birthdays.
Went for a birthday, it was good. You pay for the view and the service.
Fantastic setting, great ambiance and the quality of food is great
Very pleasant setting with excellent food and service. Would like the volume of the background orchestration less as well as the conversation level. Unfortunately the wooden floors are no cushion for sound.
Nice for a special occasion - you're mostly going for the ambiance. It gets really dark in the dining room after sunset, so if you have bad vision bring a flashlight. We tried the stuffed mushrooms, lamb, duck, and a few desserts. The lamb was great, duck was just OK. Stuffed mushrooms are good but very cheesy/oily. The desserts were also good but I found them a bit overpriced at $9 each.
Overall very pleasant. A little overpriced for portion size, a little skimpy on vegetables. Lovely desserts.
Such a beautiful setting! Before we’ve enjoyed eating on the outdoor patio (in summer). This time we are in the all glass sun room (spring). Lovely views of the park and bay! Food is fine too but we go for the ambiance.
We had a great dinner from the 40th Anniversary set menu. Great value for an excellent 3 course dinner.
One goes to The Teahouse for the views, and they never disappoint; and The Teahouse ambiance, its quiet, laid back elegance, perfectly suit the location.
It is wonderfully unpretentious, and family friendly, with a welcoming, cosy yet spacious feel.
The staff are all most friendly. Our particular waiter seemed a bit inexperienced, so it was good to see how the rest of the floor team pitched in to support.
The food? We've had excellent meals there in the past, but this last visit, our choices were a bit hit and miss, and just slightly underwhelming, considering their price. In a city of great cuisine, The Teahouse offerings fall a little on the bland, stingy side. However, as ever, the views and the ambience override all else.
Great service. Unbeatable location
Very good !!!!!! Will go there in the future .......................,,,,
We had a wonderful meal, our server was great, the food was delicious!
Had a large group for brunch. Staff was amazing, food was excellent! They accommodated is short notice. Could not recommend enough. Must pay for parking as it is in Stanley park.
It was fantastic
Amazing service, excellent food
The location is amazing!
The servers were beyond incredible. Professional. Engaging. Knowledgeable. We so much enjoyed our meal. The table settings were impeccable and meal presentation was beautiful. We were able to watch the sun set and it was the perfect end to a wonderful evening.
Mother and daughter outing. It’s beautiful and the food good. Sad they don’t have a “Tea” menu. It’s called the “Teahouse “, they should have teas . Very disappointed with the lack of tea
Amazing value for its 40th anniversary menu. Food was amazing but service needed some help. Felt like the wine knowledge and lack of attention to detail were a miss. We would expect a place like this to be high in service but we had to ask for everything which ruined the whole experience. I would recommend if you want great food but don’t expect much for service. We will be back thought as service might be a hit next time. Congratulations in 40 years
We intended to have a simple quick lunch. However, the service from the outset seemed excellent, the ambiance was conducive to a leisurely lunch, and the three course menu was offered at a reasonable price. We did not regret our decision to choose the menu (we always taste much of what the other ordered - so for us it really was a six course menu). The food presentation and preparation were outstanding for all "six courses". We noted that the crème brulèe dessert was as good as any we had experienced over many years eating out in France and Switzerland. The Teahouse Restaurant could probably offer less for the same price given its spectacular setting on English Bay, and for this reason we especially appreciated the effort made to provide first rate food and service for a reasonable price.
LOVE THE PLACE, AND USUALLY THE FOODBIS VERY GOOD. THIS TIME MY STEAK WAS IN THE SALTY SIDE THOUGH.
