Too much noise, very loud almost impossible to have a conversation. Too much noise for a fine dining restaurant.

My wife and I have always enjoyed wonderful meals at The Tasting Room in frederick. The menu is imaginative and tasty. The Tasting Room has always been recognized as the prime dining experience in Frederick Maryland.

We have been here several times and the experience has been exceptional. On this occasion the service and food was not to the expectations we had. One meal seemed underdone. We got the manager but we felt she was justifying the dish rather than understanding our POV.and taking action. Not a big fan of underdone pork, even if it was meant to be that way. There could have been a better outcome. Also, when I asked about a wine, the sommelier did not come to the table but advised the waitress that they did not know about the wine - hum, you sell a wine (not cheap) and you don't know about it and can't even come to the table?? Well, it was early in the week and perhaps they did not have the A team on that night?

Mussels appetizer was fantastic. Scallops perfectly prepared and the Stone Bass with a mushroom sauce was excellent. Service was good and timely, and we were seated at a window at our request after smaller table was unsatisfactory.

The Tasting Room never disappoints. The food was amazing, we ordered the PEI mussels for a starter, delicious, dinner consisted of Scallops with Brussel sprouts and Boar with savory bread pudding, both dishes amazing! And for dessert we ordered the butter cake with homemade ice cream, also wonderful. Our server Cynthia was very attentive and friendly. Thank you Tasting Room for another wonderful “Anniversary Dinner”.

The meal was excellent, the fillet mignon, potatoes au gratin, Cava wine, Caesar Salad, the bread and desert were all delicious. Our waitress and the rest of the staff did an excellent job.. Last but not least, the food was served in a timely manner, hot things were hot and the cold were cold. We will certainly be dining at the Tasting Room again.

Amazing food and service but the table next to us was super noisy if it was a little quieter it woulda been preferred

First of all, our server was Jessica and she was excellent! Our drinks, appetizer and meal were outstanding. The lobster mashed potatoes are a longstanding dish at The Tasting Room and they did not disappoint, we shared a dish and it was plenty. The chicory salad was fresh and the combination of ingredients was just right. Our main course, the scallops and stone bass were perfectly prepared and fresh, absolutely delicious. We ended with a fantastic, refreshing dessert. This was for our anniversary and complimentary glass of champagne were provided, a very nice treat! We will definitely be returning!

There are many great restaurants in Frderick, but for food quality and ambience, The Tasting Room is the best. Never had a bad meal here Consistently outstanding!

We had an excellent experience at The Tasting Room! Each member of staff wished us a happy anniversary and was incredibly accommodating. They were also very knowledgeable about the menu, pairings, and substitutions. The food and drinks were phenomenal in quality and taste. We absolutely recommend it!
