We always enjoy going to the Taphouse, and would recommend to anyone.
We went for dinner on a Saturday, well before the live band / dancing starts. The food was really good, worth the price. Calamari was the only big miss. Overall, a great time.
Overall, The Taphouse was a great experience. The food and service was good and the Tuesday night entertainer Andrew Christopher was excellent. Our friends enjoyed the evening as well. Nice to see the upgrading and effort that has changed this bar into something much more wholesome which appeals to everyone!!
Great food. Great atmosphere. Loved the environment and the staff.
The place and the food was very good.
Only to much salt in the food.
Love it. And Love it
Worst experience ever. I reserved a table in advance for 10 people. I also purchased my tickets in advance. I waited in line for over a hour. On top of that the table I received only was able to accommodate max 5 people. They split the reservation into two tables and the other table was given away to another party who had no reservations. Nothing was done by management even after several requests. I have a lot of friends and family who do many events whether it be social or professional. And I will not be recommending this place to anyone . My friends or I will not be returning to taphouse again for any event.
I had reserved a table for ten individuals as it was my birthday. We were greeted kindly. However, it took the waiter quite some time to bring us the menus and drinks upon arrival (Approx. 45 minutes for the drinks).
Calamari was a. It greasy and the tomato soup a bit too thick.... but the ahi tuna sashimi was amazing!,,,
I came here with a friend for lunch more so out of curiosity; I had not set foot in the place since its prior reincarnation as the Mirage nightclub.
The place was on the quieter side when we first sat down for lunch but as time passed I was happy to see many other people walk through the door. I think we must have been early given the generous amount of snow on the ground. Settled on trying the West Coast Express Salad, true to what our waitress said, it was a good combination of filling you up and a healthy choice. Couldn't resist having the Apple Galette for dessert; flaky pastry, warm gooey apple filling complimented with vanilla ice cream. Gobbled the dessert up in a blink of an eye!
Though we went for lunch, I can see this as a spot that is good for hanging out with friends for lunch and dinner, (the table next to us was celebrating a birthday) in a hip neighbourhood hideaway.
I have friends who have frequently dined at TapHouse with their son, who was under the age of 4, and they suggested our group of three and a 7 month should come here for brunch. When we arrived they sat us and then informed us that children between the ages of 0 - 4 are 'unwelcome' in the restaurant, as a result we did not dine. I do appreciate this is a pub atmosphere but keep your practices consistent and work on the delivery of your message. Being told you are 'unwelcome' in this restaurant may not be the best way to communicate your message. As well if you do have restrictions, including it on the opentable reservation site or on your website may be helpful.
I had an awesome time celebrating my bday at Tap House Surrey. Everyone there is super nice the servers were great and the DJ really killed it with music and karaoke. Atmosphere was so much fun and encouraging ... Would definitely go there again soon and I recommend it to any group of friends to go there for hangouts and special occasions. 5 star service and thumps up!!! Amazing place!
This is our neighbourhood pub.
It keeps fine craft beer and has a really good kitchen.
The house is spotless and the service is congenial and efficient.
We are very, very pleased to have them within easy reach!!
I will definitely eat here again. Prompt service. Cozy, modern pub atmosphere.
Waitress was very friendly and helpful. The location we were seated at was quite cold, I was tempted to put my coat over my legs. We ordered drinks and food including one appetizer. The appetizer was delivered with our meals instead of ahead of the meals. This was our first time there, so we'll try it again as there's some interesting dishes we want to try.
We had never been in this part of Surrey before, and Taphouse was recommended on TripAdvisor, so we thought it would be worth considering. It was a really fun evening! The service was great and the food was good, and I would definitely go there again!
Great place for groups to catch a game and drinks. Food and service was great. I will definitely go back.
Just absolutely wonderful here! The food and drinks are all reasonably priced and the specials are outstanding! Great ambience and the karaoke hostess Jacqueline Stone from Almost Famous Entertainment on Wednesdays is an absolute delight!
Baseball game was on and noise level was way too loud
Went for advertised thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings!
Food wasn't hot, gravy wasn't hot, Brussels sprouts were raw and beer was warm!
Asked for cooked sprouts ( only veg provided) and still came back raw-couldn't get a fork in it.
Disappointing as their regular menu is usually good.
The hot chicken wings, are perfect. You have nailed the flavour for the 'franks hot sauce' wings. The number of wings to price ratio could be better.
The music was great! But the service and the staff were horrible. I would never go back or host another event there again.
Our service was terrible the waitress was not very good. We ended up getting the manager to help us numerous times (she was lovely and very helpful). We got to the point where we just started going out the bar ourselves as we were always waiting for drinks. Also she put everyone on one bill so it made the end of the night people settling bills a nightmare. I don't think I would go back
Great ambience, lovely servers but very limited menu and disappointing food. For its location and name, the place could be a gem just by offering a variety of food options to dine in and making sure the food actually tastes good. There are a lot of similar pub and grills around which offer much nicer food that is sumptuous and presented beautifully.
Everything was good I just found them refusing us entry with out Id a hassle and caused us to be late.
Also no one had mentioned this to me as it was my very first time being there for my birthday....also nothing special offered as I was there to celebrate.
But the food was good and I may go back just for that reason.
The service is always quick friendly and efficient Staff are always very pleasant and professional and very willing to assist I go there fairly often as I live in the neighbourhood and have recommended it to many people as a good place. The staff always go out if their way for you especially to find the perfect place to seat
We had a great evening dinner, on a special occasion.
The Wine & Beer list is great, the Food Menu is just great, with a good variety of everyone's favorites including burgers, steaks, hot wings, roast chicken, etc. the list is well thought out.
The chef is to be complimented, everything was just perfect. Service is friendly and efficient.
We enjoyed our evening, and would recommend the Tap House as a great neighborhood place to meet, with a huge sports screen and lively entertainment. We will return.
Had a great time with friends, good food, and great service. Our server, Lini (spelling?) was excellent. We enjoyed the live band, but would have liked to have seen a different one this time round - saw them a month ago when we were there.....same playlist.zzzzz.
Went here with 6 friends food was good. Service was horrible. Food took very long time to get. Waitress was just sitting at bar talking to her friend and not coming by and doing her job. Also have a friend that can't drink due to medical problem and ordered a Coke. She screwed up and brought him a rum and coke.
Good service however had to change my order and was pleased to see there was no problem.
The server was very nice about it and wanted to make it right
Great food. Good mix if music genres.
Music is very loud so hard to have a conversation. Good if you like sports, lots of tvs around to watch. Table was wobbly, but food stayed on the table.
Great location for a group of friends gathering for brunch. I liked the relaxed feel of this place, with a variety of sports on the tvs around us. I would definitely return to try different dishes as the brunch skillet I had was a tad on the greasy side, but the other's dishes looked great and was well received! The service was friendly and overall it was affordable.
Very nice atomsphere. Restaurant and bar. Nice that you can come for dinner and then stay for dancing. Food was delicious, fast service, great value for the $. One thing to note is that if intimate conversation is required the place is very noisy and it is difficult to hear. I, unfortunately, was sat next to the speaker on my first visit and couldn't hear anything my friends were saying. It is a great and fun atmosphere but they could have turned the volume down a couple of notches during the dinner hour.
Visited on New Year Day with some friends to try flights of beer and appys. They had 23 beers on tap. Selection was vast. Nachos were huge and great for sharing. Service was prompt and excellent. A great experience.
We had a great time at the Taphouse and Paul the acoustic guitarist playing that night was awesome!!! Would highly recommend to others....
Well everything was going well and we were ordering appetizers for about 2 1/2 hrs and watching the hockey game. The group then ordered dinner. Before getting our food the manager ask that we move to another table upstairs, We said no since we were watching the game. The manager cancelled the food because we did not want to move. Since we could not get any service from the Taphouse the group left. I will not go back there or recommend this place. This was very rude.
Food was very good, however that was the only positive.
I never take the time to write a review, but the service was so incredibly terrible that I have to this time. We had a reservation for 12 people and they put us at two separate booths beside each other because they said there was no room anywhere else, when the entire patio and upstairs werecompletely empty. They refused to open the upstairs, and tried to refuse the patio (saying they were saved for overflow). We ended up just bringing all our stuff outside and enjoyed the completely empty patio all night.
I booked 4 weeks in advance, and called twice to confirm.
Then to top it off at the end of the night, not only were there missing parts of bills but they tried to make us pay for bills that had already been paid.
The servers did not care about us at all, and it definitely showed.
We had booked a reservation for 6 & was seated at a table more fit for 4. Most of the appies were decent but the calamari was undercooked & rubbery. Our dinners were over 1 1/2 hours late so we took it to go by the time it finally came.
The manager comped our meals which was the only good thing that happened that night.
They didn't have 2 out of the 3 wines we requested.
Needless to say, we were not impressed with the dining experience.
We started with the Salmon Salad...the salmon was excellent but the salad was over dressed. We then had the Hot Hawaiin Pizza and it was superb. We had trouble picking from the wine list as there is not a good selection.
Upon arriving 9 minutes late for our reservation the manager told us they have a 15 minute rule and gave our table away, when we said our "iPhones" showed 9 he became very argumentative and stated well ours shows 15 when we looked it was an iPad with the same time as our iPhones. This our 3rd experience with this manager and he has ZERO people skills I'm not sure where he learned to be a manager from but...it's questionable. Once we did get a table it was ok...other than having removed items from menu but still shows them. Our group really thinks the taphouse has so much potential but if we experience any further situations with said manager we will find another establishment to give our money too.
