We had a delicious lunch at the Tap House. The open steak sandwich was absolutely superb!
Everyone was happy with their food. THe service was friendly and efficient. I have been here
A few times now and highly recommend it!
Great service and very friendly staff. Great menu with many drink options. Not too expensive for what you get.
Valentine’s Day was our first visit to The Tap House. We were early for our reservation, but seated quickly upstairs over looking the bar area. We were attended By Justin, who was friendly, informative and extremely quick to serve. We chose the Tuna Tartare appetizer which was wonderful: fresh with ginger, scallions, and soy flavors and served with crispy thin potato chips. Our entrees came immediately following the finish of the tuna. I had the Chicken Milanese and my husband the meatloaf. Both were delicious. We were given ample servings; we each took half home to eat the next day. For dessert we split a surprisingly lighter-tasting cheesecake. We were very pleased with the affordable wine bottle selection. Justin brought us our check within 30 seconds of our asking. We will be back!
Great low key brunch. Half price wine and champagne add to the enjoyment. The salads are terrific.
Strange experience at The Tap House last night. Our 3rd time there, and the couple we were with had been there twice before as well. Although we had a reservation through Open Table, we still had about a 20 minute wait, which wasn't a big deal as there was space by the bar to have a drink and talk while we waited. Once I reminded the maitre d' that we were still there, she led us to a quiet table in the back room - so pretty! Wings and nachos to start - wings were not buffalo style - they were more like breaded chicken tenders - which were somewhat disappointing. The nachos were surprisingly small - a bunch of chips, but not much on them other than a blob of sour cream in the middle. Dinner got weirder. My husband's wiener schnitzel was dry and not seasoned. Our friend's burger was "perfectly fine". My friend and I ordered the special salad - grilled shrimp and scallops with goat cheese. What came was a huge plate of ruffage with 2 scallops! The waiter unfortunately disappeared forever, so when he finally came back, we showed him the mountain of ruffage and sifted through it in an attempt to uncover a shrimp or goat cheese, with, of course, no luck. He was extremely apologetic and he and the maitre d' said our meals would be compted, and offered us a dish of shrimp and goat cheese, which we accepted. Things got worse unfortunately - the goat cheese had gone bad! It was like sour milk! (I love goat cheese of all kinds - this had definitely gone sour). The staff was incredibly apologetic and compted us drinks. Honestly, we've had great experiences at this restaurant before, and the wait staff really left us with feelings of good will. We'll definitely give this place another try and chock this up as an anomaly. I feel badly giving the night only 2 stars, and hope that there will be a 5 star night there in the future!
Great menu with a good selection of food, beverages, and desserts.
Staff was accommodating when we asked for a larger table (seven people at the round tables in the back was a bit too cramped for us).
Service was lovely. Drinks arrived promptly. Food was enjoyed by all.
Great spot to go on a double date and be able to have a conversation and feel comfortable and have great food.
Just another excellent evening at The Tap
Tap House is very reliable. Good food in a very nice, relaxed setting and good service.
excellent and friendly service. Kitchen ran out of the filet mignon special but sirloin was excellent. After dinner relaxed with a few drinks. Always a great place to eat and just hang out and chat afterwards.
Great service and the food was very good. Would recommend.
Parking was a bit of a challenge.
Our server Casey was great! There when we need her and gave us space to speak privately. My dining partner's burger was spot on! The salmon sandwich was delicious! Good selection of beers goes without saying. We'll be back!
A great local spot to meet friends have dinner, drinks or late night dessert. The chocolate chip cookie w ice cream is delicious!
The wait staff is attentive; refilling water and delivering food in a timely matter. Been there many times through the years and have always had a great night.
Enjoyed the butternut squash soup, beet salad and swordfish. Thanks!
Manager is great and hostess was lovely.
Had an awesome waiter - sharp, polite and did a fantastic job!
Sat in the bar area near the window. A bit loud but nice to see a vibrant bar crowd.
Always reliable. :)
Started with a round of drinks at the bar and proceeded to sit down at our table for a delicious dinner with friends. The hostess and our bartender were super friendly and added to a fun evening.
We love the Tap House, the food is delicious, the staff friendly and helpful and its just a cozy, warm place to dine.
The waitress didn't tell us the specials and could not remember our wine order, s came back.
This is my second time at The Tap House and it did not disappoint. Our waiter was very energetic and friendly without being overbearing -genuine. The entrees were luscious and the dessert hit the spot, but the mussels we had as an appetizer, were the star of the night! Perfectly cooked, tender, and seasoned just right. Absolutely delicious. I enjoyed one of their signature drinks, a Manhattan and it was a beautifully balanced, not too sweet. Though I wasn't there for a romantic evening, (I was there with my mom) we sat in front of the cozy fireplace and had a terrific time. I will be taking my boyfriend to the Tap House for dinner and request exactly the same table.
They are running an excellent business.
We had a delicious dinner, great service and weren't rushed at all. Great value for the quality of the food.
The Tap House in Tuckahoe, New York is a wonderful neighborhood restaurant with good comfort food and excellent service. Our waiter was nice, courteous and really went out of his way so that our dining experience was lovely. We dined on a Saturday night when the NY Yankees were playing and the restaurant was packed with people. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Try the Tap House when in Tuckahoe!
Excellent service from Kevin. Everything was great.
Great food great service
The food was delicious at Tap House. Took my mother, brother and his wife for dinner on recommendation of a friend.
Quaint area in Tuckahoe with a huge Italian festival going on.
Lovely ambience, certainly like an Engine pub. We sat in the back room. Had to walk partially by the kitchen but alas a little more quite.
Strip steak was well seasoned with yummy mashed potatoes and perfectly prepared broccoli rabe. Although ordered medium it came out rare so I sent it back. 2nd time was a charm!
Samples of my guests dishes were well-prepared too. Orange miso Ramen bowl was yummy pairing brown rice with grilled Salmon and crisp veggies.
Meatloaf platter was HUGE and good but not my favorite.
Chicken sandwich was also nice--deep battered fried chicken breast with pickles and a zesty BBQ sauce with a serious kick. Served with sweet potato fries.
Our server was kind, courteous and attentive.
Reasonably priced for the amount of food received.
A friendly place to enjoy a delicious lunch & outstanding cocktails!
Great service, Nice Beer selection Food was delicious . Will definitely be back and will will recommend to friends.
The food was good. The server was lovely. Good place!
Excellent as always
The sirloin sliders were unbelievably good. The Pepsi was watered down or not the right syrup and they still charged us.. overall great food
Flawless as usual. Had seven people for our sons graduation. The service staff are great.
Got a great table and an excellent meal. Staff was very attentive and accommodating.
The service was very slow. Took almost 30 minutes to see the appetizers, never did get a breadbasket on the table though we were told more than once that it was 'in the oven'. But the doozie was that they had run out of salmon. 7:30 in the evening and the salmon was off, as too was the red snapper.
Went for lunch with family. Food was excellent. Terribly slow getting main courses out of the kitchen. Staff was apologetic and they comped drinks without being asked. Service otherwise was very good. Probably just a bad day in kitchen. We will definitely go back.
Although odd, we walked through the service area to get to our table. The restaurant was cozy and very relaxing. The food was delicious and sumptuous. The service on the other hand was yet to be desired. She was not attentive and was not efficient in her job. When one of us asked for a request she would run off and took a while to fulfill the request. Then we would have to wait to ask for more items. She could care less if our glasses were empty or if we needed anything else. Then when we asked for dessert, she rambled the list so quickly, we had to ask her for a list thinking she would slow down. Alas, overall, we enjoyed ourselves despite the lack of service.
Tap House is a local treasure. It's a warm friendly establishment where you can have a delicious meal and lively conversation. It never disappoints.
I wish I knew this restaurant was part of the Pearl group before going, as I would never have gone. When I read the write up I was expecting a nice/casual restaurant and was excited for perhaps a new regular place to go with my husband. As soon as I walked in, I said to my husband, if I didn't know better, I would think this was part of that same restaurant group that we don't like. There was no signage on the menu or anywhere, so we just assumed it was a coincidence. All became clear when we go the bill and it Pearl group was outed. The food at all of the Pearl group restaurants is very formulaic and pretty tasteless. The servers were all very nice, but clearly they are told to quickly turn the tables. The busboy was practically running between tables to clear dishes and everyone spoke so quickly. We were in and out in under an hour. I will never go back. While everything was OK, I don't have time for fair.
Our Meal was outstanding, delicious. Justin was our server so friendly and attentive. We will def be back.
Pleasant Pub, centrally located. Food as expected although the special was described as having cartelized onions and came with hot cherry peppers instead. Good place for a burger.
Food was good but a bit overpriced. Bill was at least 200 for 4 people.
