The Table Restaurant at the H Hotel
We went out to Table for Valentine’s Day. Our waiter was kind, attentive, and gave good suggestions. We split the lobster appetizer, which my husband loved (I could do without the wasabi, but I see the appeal if you like that). We also split the crab and asparagus salad and if you like eggs Benedict or Cobb salad, you might like this variation. Lots of rich flavors. Both of us had steak for our dinner with mushrooms. My husbands Delmonico had a beautiful finish to it and my filet was tender and flavorful. We added sautéed mushrooms and they were delicious. For dessert we split the chocolate cake and it was moist, rich, but not too sweet. Our waiter’s wine recommendation was also on point. Overall, a great but expensive experience.
The restaurant was great....getting to it from our H hotel room...not so much...no signs for directions....had to walk outside and around to get to it ....if I had known I had to do that, I would have worn a coat and not 3” heels...16 degree weather
Second time at The Table in as many months, both times to celebrate birthdays. The Table is a fine dining restaurant, very quiet, attentive service, and subdued atmosphere. Menu is a la carte, with interesting choices and preparations for appetizers, salads, entrees and sides as well. Wine list is appropriate for fine restaurant, if not notable per se.
Quality of the food was outstanding, as was the service. (For example, one of our guests in particular had been looking forward to the Steak Tartar appetizer, and was disappointed to find it missing from the menu. Upon request, the chef immediately produced the dish regardless.)
The Table is best suited for a quiet, elegant evening when price is not the primary consideration.
Overall an enjoyable meal and experience but I continue to be disappointed that the main course of steak for example comes on a large plate alone with no garnish. it looks silly really for a restaurant of this caliber to not dress the plate properly. How about a sprig of some greens? Would be nice for the kitchen to get this message.
We had a wonderful experience! We love the Table restaurant!
We were greeted with a smile and felt very welcome. It was a special event for my wife and me and they did a great job of exceeding expectations. Would highly recommend.
Very surprised at how tasty the food was. Also, it was very clean and the service was outstanding. Only negative is that it was a bit chilly. (but it was like 15 degrees outside, so I give them a pass)
My husband and I took our 6 year old daughter here as a surprise as part of a fun night out for her. We all loved the decor. It was absolutely beautiful. Looking around it felt warm and cozy from the beautiful chandler to the comfortable chairs. The food was amazing. We started with the cheese plate and then ordered 2 filets and one veal dish. The portion sizes were very nice. Sometimes when we have gone to a higher scale restaurant the portions are small for what you pay for. Not here, we all left full and had extras to take home. I'm sure the desserts are wonderful as well but, we were to full to try them. The staff there treated my daughter like a little princess. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for an elegant evening. We will defiantly be returning!
The steak was very poor, the sauce was excellent, but the steak itself was very bland and tasted as if it should have been much cheaper. The service was solid, the drinks were good, but the sides were also poor as well. For the price, one would expect better quality food, but the restaurant was lacking, and I think I would have been better off at a Texas Roadhouse or Red Lobster.
We loved the painting of the periodic table on the wall on one side and the wine cellar and garden display on the other in your private room for our mom’s 90th birthday. I would just remember to have the cellar door closed to keep the warm air in and appreciate bringing in two space heaters! The food, wine and cake were delicious. Thank -you.
The staff was very professional and we had great service. The food was amazing. My steak was overcooked but it really didn't matter because the flavor was still there. The only real complaint we had was that it was a tad bit chilly in the restaurant. Otherwise this was a great experience and we'd happily return.
Rib eye steak was extremely tough but I didn't say anything.
It was a great experience. We would come again if the occasion comes up.
Excellent evening at Table. The meal and service were both very well executed. Prices are high - matching Chicago high end dining, however the quality justified it. Very nice to be able to enjoy this caliber of experience in Midland. We will certainly return
Had a great anniversary dinner there. Knew the chef and the food was outstanding! Thanks for the apps and a great time. Not rushed. Will be going there again soon!
Went for a family dinner. Food was excellent, great service and a good wine list.
Had a great experience in the private dining room. Wonderful food!
The steak was very expensive - however, it was tough and full of fat. The saving grace was our waiter. He was smart and very helpful.
Dining perfection like The Table Restaurant should be congratulated regionally at least.
Ceasar Salad not overwhelmed with dressing. Salmon and filet mignon cooked perfectly. The Table Manhattan was very good. Overall a very nice dining experience.
The service was excellent, the staff was knowledgeable and the food was phenomenal!
Very good service. Vine was excellent. Chicken was undercooked
Great! We were in a private dining room.
What a wonderful time we had! The waiter was fantastic, food great! Would definitely recommend!
Celebrated our daughter’s college graduation in the wine room. Staff was lovely and attentive. The food was fantastic. One of the best fillets I’ve ever eaten.
Amazing food and service, once again! Celebrated a special birthday with my son and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment! Cheers to the chef for an innovative and inspired menu! Can’t wait to return!
Phenomenal as usual!!
The food was excellent and I like that they use sustainable seafood. The Rigate and cheese is incredible. I loved the service and how happy they seemed to be. Expensive, but wonderful food and ambiance
Great food, but we keep going back for the service. The wait staff is exceptional!!
Wonderful food, service and atmosphere. Our complements to Chef Peter. Will be returning soon.
Exceptional dining. Delicious dishes. Quaint atmosphere and ambiance. Beautiful decor. Relaxing. Simply amazing experience.
Went here for a romantic night out with the girlfriend. The food was a bit on the expensive side but tasted outstanding. The servers were very nice and helpful. And of course, the atmosphere had to be the highlight of the night! Absolutely beautiful!
We had an excellent meal and very good service from Tom. It is not an inexpensive meal but worth it for special occasions.
Our food was excellent and our server was superb. Highly recommend the restaurant. The settting is exquisite.
Selected The Table for a small family celebration of a very special birthday. Everything exceeded our expectations and we will return again soon. Midland’s finest restaurant for sure, and one of the best in the GLBR.
The Table is a great choice for a special evening. It has a very upscale atmosphere - it is elegant, spacious and quiet. You don't overhear the conversations of other diners, so great for a business dinner. We went as a family for my husband's birthday. We eat upscale meals in other cities when we travel and don't mind spending for a good meal. The Table is good, but quite expensive. Not exceptional value for there are limited choices in Midland. The food is very nice - mostly classic steakhouse fare but with a some interesting appetizers and salads. Our steaks were terrific. Would be better if there were some more interesting menu items. I found the sauces a bit limited. We would certainly go back again.
My husband and I are residents of Midland. Our choice for celebrating our birthdays is, without question, The Table. We enjoy the ambiance, quiet atmosphere, and delicious cuisine. Our favorite waiter, Tom, is of course excellent. He actually remembers what we enjoy (Scotch, carrot cake, cinnamon ice cream) and is very sensitive to our desire for a "slow pace". We are very fortunate to have such a fine dining experience amidst our increasingly vibrant downtown!
Lights were very bright
My first time here. Excellent ny strip. Cooked to perfection. Demiglaze was excellent. My wife was very satisfied with short rib ravioli. The service was good, nothing exceptional. I ordered a Manhattan from the bar which left something to be desired. I would like to have seen an Old Fashioned on the cocktail menu. That was the only low point. This is probably the most expensive restaurant in the region, which we expected, and the food did not disappoint. But with this in mind I thought the service could be a little better. But I would def recommend.
Easily the best Midland has to offer. The food was excellent but maybe not so excellent to justify the price. If your looking for a romantic evening or quiet setting with good food and excellent service this is your place. The ambience matched the service with a five star rating! Just don’t arrive on a budget. It is enjoyed best if cost is of no concern.
