The Table at Season To Taste
Please note, specific tables may be requested but cannot be guaranteed.
Reservations highly recommended. Prompt arrivals requested, as we cannot guarantee seating when diners are delayed by more than 15 minutes. Private parties can also be arranged upon request. We recommend booking these at least three months in advance.
Wonderful service. Interesting wines. Excellent food, but more heat (consistently) than we anticipated (in general we like spicy food).
What an amazing place! The flavors in each dish was phenomenal. We love the food, people, atmosphere and company. Everyone should try this wonderful experience!
Very delicious meal, accommodating to vegetarian preferences, warm and friendly service. Service was quite slow with long breaks between courses, and could have progressed a bit more smoothly. Also, it was a little strange after my wife ordered a vegetarian menu due to pregnancy concerns, she was still brought a raw oyster amuse, which is off-limits even if cooked - but the oysters were fantastic and I enjoyed both of them.
We had a counter seating and it was such a fabulous decision. We were able to see the cooking and plating processes, which we were very excited with. It was such a fun. We ordered the whole menu to tried everything, not every dish was a hit for us, but the flavors, cooking to perfection and great taste balance was 100% there. Loved the service, compliments from the chef. Definitely recommend this place to everyone.
We love to go to The Table at Season to Taste for special occasions. The staff remembered what our preferences were and even had a couple of wine choices picked out for us based on previous selections. This restaurant is outstanding in all regards!
Outstanding. Simply outstanding.
Very cozy setting with amazing food.
I gave my 16 year old son a gift certificate for Christmas to come here. He's in a local culinary program at school and I wanted him to have a "chef's table" kind of experience at a fine restaurant. The Table exceeded my expectations. We sat at the counter inches from the chefs and got to interact with them when they weren't too busy. Chef Carl Dooley talked about his own training with my son and invited him to stop by any time to help out with prep after school. My son was thrilled. The food courses were superb and varied, and the restaurant is perfect for that special meal. The tables are not too close to each other and the noise level just right for private conversation. Lovely booth in the front window for a party of 4.
Wonderful seasonal ingredients just like the name suggest. Truly was a taste of summer. Really enjoyed chef's creations.
Nothing too extraordinary just ok
Food and wine pairings were delicious. Staff was very friendly and attentive.
Outstanding as always. The August menu is a delight. Looking forward to our next visit!
Wonderful restaurant. Timing was perfect for each meal. Each dish was creative, both asthetically and in taste. Parking was fairly easy, and the surrounding neighborhood felt welcoming. 10/10 would recommend.
A great experience overall!! We go 1-2 times a year and love it every time. Feels like a culinary adventure each time we go as the menu changes with the season.
Incredible food, lovely service and it was a lot of fun watching the chef and his assistants do their thing.
We had a lovely evening - food was delicious, wine pairing was on point, the ambience was calm, and the staff were delightful. Highly recommend!
Delicious food. We split the prix fixe dour courses which I highly recommend. And a sweet birthday presentation of dessert was so wonderful!
Best restaurant in Cambridge! Great food and atmosphere! We'll definitely be back!
First and foremost, this is an amazing place. The care and creativity that goes into each individual dish are unmatched anywhere, at any price. With this said, we were (2 couples) very disappointed in a couple of things. Our reservation was scheduled for 8:15 pm. We sat down at around 9:00 pm. It's not supposed to work that way. There should be two seatings - period! At no time did any member of the staff come over to us while we sat in the corner next to the window to offer us water, a beverage of any kind, let alone a kind word. I'm sorry, there is just no excuse to ignore customers waiting in your restaurant to spend $500. This was our 3rd time at the restaurant. The food has always been excellent and this last time was no exception. Given the success and popularity of the restaurant, I think the time has come for the owners to address service and ambiance issues.
Excellent food. Wine pairings were perfect 75% of the time. The mencia and albarino were disappointing. Overall a magnificient experience and a great value.
The menu of items allowed people to go light or more hearty. Each dish was prepared with great attention to detail and the elements were presented very well; color, texture, flavor, savory all in balance. The ceviche and the lemon agnolotti received the most praise but the curried chicken and lamb were also outstanding. Personally, I liked the price set with tax and gratuity included. While the wines by the glass were good they do not need to be 15-17/gl.
Exceeded our high expectations. Food was phenomenal, and at least on this particular night, had plenty of heat. Truly enjoyed the warm and friendly service, which made us feel right at home on our first visit. Truly our new favorite restaurant in the Boston area. Best advice? Order one of everything and share. My wife doesn’t like lamb at all, but to our surprise, fell completely in love with the lamb carpaccio. You won’t be disappointed.
Very nice restaurant. Interesting and unusual food, surprisingly spicy with unusual combinations. Price is reasonable. Service excellent, enthusiastic and accommodating. Definitely worth a visit.
Food was very good with some intense flavors. The lamb appetizer was excellent. The price is high for the food that was served. Wine was pretty good and very expensive
Unfortunately, there wasn't much air conditioning. So despite the amazing food, the experience was less than optimal and not especially comfortable.
Excellent 4 course tasting menu with nicely varied choices to choose from at each course. The wine pairing was interesting, informatively presented, and well matched to the food. Overall an outstanding experience with wonderful food and service.
Starting from being greeted from the host right through dessert it was one of the best culinary experiences I have ever had in the greater Boston area.
Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and was able to walk us through it all. I suggest if you are a party of two just get the whole menu and share it, because there is not a single course that disappoints.
The place is charming, the service is wonderful, but the food was uneven. Our favorite dishes were the starters--lamb crudo and red snapper ceviche. An interesting mix of textures, flavors, and heat. The Jonah crab curry and grilled octopus were also excellent. We were less impressed with the gnocchi with blue cheese (too heavy), the jerk chicken (overly spiced, undercooked, and garnished with flavors that didn't mesh well together), and both desserts (which just weren't that interesting). One thing that was surprising to us was that all of the (non-dessert) dishes were spicy (to varying degrees)--although we both like spicy food, this felt like too much of the same thing.
Wonderful hidden gem. I am eager to go back and bring everyone that I know!
The Table never fails to disappoint. The food is outstanding, the wine parings spot on and the service gracious and welcoming. The highlight of my dinner was the charred octopus -- perfectly prepared and delicious! Can't wait to see what's next on their menu!
I came into the meal with no expectations and left in awe of what had occurred. The freshness of the ingredients was outstanding; the sauces and seasoning for the food was a perfect complement to the main ingredient of each dish. The ambiance of the restaurant transported me far away from Boston to what felt like a friends counter at a rustic home. I cannot wait to go back for another meal.
Best food in Boston. Menu changes every 6 weeks or so, makes it a place to go again and again!
My wife and I tried every dish on the prefixed menu and we're not disappointed with anything we had. Great meal from start to finish.
This is a great place to go for special occasions. I'd strongly recommend the wine pairing, it added a lot to the flavor.
Amazing food with no pretentiousness. I’d come here all the time if it wasn’t so hard to get a reservation.
This is the best restaurant in Cambridge. The food is incredibly delicious and complex, but is not pretentious. Actually that's true of the place overall - the service is great but also not pretentious. It's a perfect special-occasion restaurant.
As usual absolutely fantastic!!! Every single bite!!!
Amazing experience sitting at the counter, watching the dishes being made and talking with the chef. Quaint, casual atmosphere, with sophisticated and delicious food! Be ready for a great experience. Do the prix fixe menu with wine pairings - you will not regret it!
The food is off the hook delicious. interesting combinations and impeccable balance. Every dish was completely on point and served at a pace that was relaxed and comfortable. We ordered one of everything - the Lamb Carpaccio was particularly outstanding, but there wasn't a bad dish served.
Amazing! Great food and service
