The Table at Season To Taste
Please note, specific tables may be requested but cannot be guaranteed.
Reservations highly recommended. Prompt arrivals requested, as we cannot guarantee seating when diners are delayed by more than 15 minutes. Private parties can also be arranged upon request. We recommend booking these at least three months in advance.
Prix Fixe menu with five dishes. I really really liked one of the five. Three more were pretty good, and one was fine. For $100 I would expect the food to be much better. It seemed kinda convoluted and all over the place. The service was great though, the music was bangin, and staff was cool and friendly.
Excellent meal , great service, love the all inclusive pricing
Excellent meal as usual. We love seeing what's new each visit.
Outstanding in every way. Knowledgeable staff, inventive cuisine. Best meal I had in Boston.
Wow, best meal I've had in the Boston area this year, and I eat out a lot! Very creative tasting menu, moving across many types of cuisine...go with a friend, and each of you order each of the two different options on the four courses and you get a 8 course meal...with 3 additional items thrown in for good measure!
Overall, a remarkable dining experience. Food and Service were outstanding.
The A/C is totally inadequate and ownership should step up and make needed replacements (repair just would not suffice).
Far and away the best value for fine dining in the Boston area. The food is always creative, portioned perfectly, cooked with fresh ingredients, the courses all work together, the wine pairings perfectly matched to the food. The service is outstanding, the chefs engage you (especially when seated at the bar), the sommelier gives a great description of the unique wines they serve. I no longer live in Boston, ,but when I am in town, my trip is not complete unless it includes dinner at the 'Table'.
Waaaaaaaaay too expensive for what you're getting/the location. Good experience overall but something I would never do twice. Only did it because I had a gift card, but ended up still spending $150 on top of it. Money could have gone towards double the food/drink at an equally upscale restaurant. This is the only complaint though.
My wife and I had Season to Taste (the catering devision of The Table) cater out wedding. This was our first time back at The Table since our initial tasting it was everything we hoped it would be. This will most likely become our go to anniversary dinner restaurant from now on.
Phenomenal dinner. Each of the courses were fantastic. Perfect anniversary location.
Spectacular as usual - each course had distinct flavors and was really amazing.
Food was excellent. Every dish included a creative combination of seasonal herbs and veggies with the shellfish, fish or meat. The service was excellent—attentive and informative but not intrusive. Also, the waiter overheard us wishing our friend happy birthday and delivered her dessert with a candle and “Happy Birthday” written in chocolate on the plate. I told all my friends at work that they have to try this restaurant. I hope to return soon.
Perhaps the best dinner out we’ve enjoyed in 5+ years. My husband and I each the prix fixe with wine pairing and shared each dish. Several outstanding dishes; not one disappointed. Wine pairings were thoughtful and additive. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. They helped with a birthday request I made too. Having sampled many Best of Boston restaurants over the past several years, I have no explanation for why this restaurant isn’t regularly mentioned in the same class.
Carl Dooley's menu never ceases to amaze me. Our party was able to taste every option: they were all so different, and all so amazingly delicious. Carl uses spices freely and creatively. Many of the dishes had a fair amount of heat (which I love), but the flavor of the ingredients came first and was not overwhelmed by the heat. As a member of our party noted, this is one of the rare restaurants where the "main" course (the protein) was as interesting as the other courses. The desserts were incredible, and not cloyingly sweet. The wine pairings were brilliant, too, and each wine was lovingly described by our waiter. Beer list was lovely, as well. I wish I could eat here weekly!
The Table is a culinary gem within the greater Boston area. The exterior is quite nondescript, but the interior had a cozy and intimate atmosphere suited for fine dining with eclectic decor including various cooking ingredient containers. We were seated only a few minutes after our reservation time, and service was prompt and thorough throughout the dinner (refolding of napkins, fresh utensils, refilling water, etc.). As with many upscale restaurants, there was a fixed-price menu with only 2 options per course (4 courses in total). Since the menu changes every 60 days, dishes feature only fresh, in-season ingredients, so the simplicity was welcomed.
It was a pleasant surprise to receive pre-1st course appetizers of oysters and cornbread, which were delicious. Both options for courses 1 through 3 were outstanding - especially the spicy pork, lettuce, and cucumber dish, and the Korean flank steak with avocado. The artistry in plating dishes w The "palate cleansing" apricot sorbet was a perfect way to round off the meal. We got our course 4 desserts to go, and both still tasted great the next day. Other desserts included small dark-chocolate brownie squares, and hand-wrapped granola bars which were enjoyed the following morning.
A couple minor grievances - the small size of the restaurant led to a noticeably loud environment, especially towards the end of our dinner. Also, drinks and dinner as a whole - while keeping in mind the exceptional food quality and service - felt slightly on the pricey side. The value of this restaurant could be increased if there was the option to order course-by-course for those guests not hungry for the full 4 courses.
Overall, The Table at Season To Taste was an outstanding fine-dining experience well-suited for a fancy dinner date. I would certainly recommend this restaurant to a friend, and hope to return to sample a new menu in the future.
Phenomenal. Always is. Our group shared so we tried every dish, and every dish was wonderful. Service is perfect, setting is perfect.
First time sitting at counter and it was fun to watch the food prep. Definitely recommend sitting at counter!
Our entire experience was excellent. This is a small place with a small, seasonal menu, and it is completely worth it. The menu changes every 6 weeks, and the chef is very creative.
What an amazing spot. The overall experience was absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend for foodies or anyone who enjoys fine dining. Chef is so talented and I will certainly be back!
Everything was delicious, not rushed, and outstanding value
We thoroughly enjoyed dining at The Table at Season to Taste, and we will be back.
Always wanted to try The Table at Seasons to Taste. Because of its size, reservations need to be made far in advance.
Went on 7/7 and was not dissapointed. Decor was cute and quaint. Only seats about 20 people and space is very small so it was a bistro feel but in a small space. Loved the open kitchen and the views of the food being prepared.
The service was friendly, attentive and superb. All the waitstaff was extremely knowledgeable but friendly and engaging. We also purchased the wine tasting option as well so the wines were very well paired with the food course and our server was very knowledgable about the wines, the regions and the actual producer.
Defininately for foodies and folks who love inventive foods and ingredients. From start to finish, delicious food in a quaint yet casual atmosphere. Highly recommend to all!
Great place if you like a fixed menu and variety of food. I highly recommend splitting the menu with a friend or partner so you both get to try a little of everything. Would definitely go back.
I wish I would have liked this place. The people who work there are young and earnest and I am sure they are intensely involved with what they do. They offer 4 course price fixed menu. I am a child of restauranteurs. In addition and kudos to the earnest staff; however, I found the food over-salted and much too heavy; the environment reminiscent of a Watertown breakfast diner. ....Seasons needs a personality--as is it's way too plastic and chunky monkey on the decor, menu is too random.
We were there for our engagement and the service and food were amazing
I don't even know where to begin. Everything I've eaten since this dinner has felt sad in comparison! The ambiance of the place is fun yet intimate. The whole staff seems excited to work there and are passionate about the food they serve. Every course of the meal was unique and creative. The food was absolutely delicious and I can't wait to go back.
The food and service were great! My only complaint would be the temperature was too hot. It was already very muggy and hot outside, would have been nice if the restaurant was cooler.
Our second time exceeded our expectations. We left wondering why we don't come here more often!
Small restaurant, excellent food, decent wine choices.
They change the menu every 4-6 weeks and provide tons of snacks and free appetizers. Probably the most fresh seafood I've ever tasted on the table. Awesome food quality.
I only hesitated because I want to go back and have no trouble getting a reservation! Went for our anniversary and was blown away. Not only was it a memorable meal, but our server was well aware of preparations, ingredients and we discussed the regions from which he chose the wines he paired with the courses. NOT pretentious. Going back!
This was for a birthday celebration and it did not disappoint . The feel was relaxed and casual but the food was elegant, researched, interesting. Staff attentive, perfectly paced service, helped us just feel “in the moment”
Fantastic menu, friendly and meticulous staff that meets ever need without being overbearing. It's a small restaurant so you may need to wait for your reserved table, but it is worth the extra time. We absolutely loved it.
Delightful! Exceeded our expectations.
This is one of our favorite restaurants for special occasions: convenient and delicious, creative, and artistic cuisine.
Everything about the experience was outstanding. The food, the service, the wine pairings, every little detail was executed well.
Wonderful food! I appreciate savoring a meal but the time between courses was a bit long — the entire meal was 2+ hrs. Small restaurant is casual and cozy, though unfortunately the couple next to us were loud and annoying and there was nothing we could do to avoid hearing it all....
Food and service were outstanding! This was our second time at The Table, and the food is carefully prepared, perfectly seasoned, and consistently delicious!
Outstanding as always. Wonderful food, wine pairings, and staff. Our favorite restaurant!
