Simply one of the best meals we've had in the Boston area. Will be back often.

The food was absolutely delicious, the best we’ve had recently. We sat at the counter and the chefs were extremely nice and interactive. Overall a great experience!

We love this very special neighborhood jewel. It was fun going on the first night of a new menu and watching all the activity from the chefs counter. All dishes were perfection except the rhubarb dessert - too much or not cooked enough cream pudding . It was soggy but knowing the excellent pastry chef she’ll probably have it right by now.

Delicious! It was the first night of the new spring menu and wine pairings and it was perfect. Standouts were the amuse bouche (raw red snapper with tomatillo and avocado), Hake with morels and gnocchi with bacon and asparagus. Service was top notch yet comfortable vibe. Will definitely be back!

Very imaginative food! Four prix fixe courses plus two complimentary amuse bouches and fresh hot bread with spreads made for a long leisurely evening of eating. All dishes are beautiful as well as innovative and delicious.

The acoustics are really bad; we had to lean close and yell to hear each other even though there were only a dozen people in the place. It's a cramped space. The decor is mismatched and eccentric. Our impression was that this is the starter space for a superb chef and menu that will soon be so popular it will be able to move to a better venue.

If you like great food served by great people (which everyone should like), this is a place to try. If I lived there, I would consider this a once a quarter type place that you keep coming back to just see what different ideas they are putting on a plate.

This was our best dining experience in Boston food wise! Been to l’espalier and Menton but by far the food was most memorable here! Will go back when the menu changes!!

We had a wonderful meal here. It was great to be able to see them cooking. The lamb was one of the tastiest things I've ever eaten! The pasta was a little bit of a miss for me but I can see why others would like it. I can tell how much care they have put into their menu.

My wife and I celebrated our 25th anniversary at Season to Taste. We were promptly seated and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Their wine suggestion to please both my wive’s and my own palate was right on. The food was tremendous! The chef seemed to visit every table and make small talk and talk about his menu. All around great experience!

I wanted to take young foodie friends out for a meal to say thanks for having me stay with them on my first visit to Boston. I researched before leaving Australia and love the concept, the ethos and the menu! I also enjoy having paired wines as this usually ensures the perfect flavour combinations. Really enjoyed the food and the wine and service was just right, attentive without being intrusive.

Wonderful place to have a date night. Food was delicious and varied. Highly recommend sharing friend/partner. Also recommend sitting at food bar. Seeing the chefs make the food and getting to talk to them is added value--They are very nice. Also, for those worried about about amount of food, ill just say that it is plentiful, so go hungry and be prepared to leave very full and satiated.

I took my husband to the Table for a special treat for his birthday and the Table did not disappoint us. My husband said it was one of the best meals he’s ever had. It was our first time eating there and we enjoyed the food, service, and ambience thoroughly. Our favorite dishes were the lamb chops and an asparagus dish with delicious herbs (such as ramps that are only available locally fresh now) and sauce. We’ll be back!

An utterly delightful place. The food was creative and made with care and talent. The setting is totally charming and the service was perfect for the kind of place it is: a little funky, a little homey, a little loving-hands-ish. We felt comfortable and cosseted while the food was satisfying both intellectually and tummy-wise.

Don’t let the front of the building fool you, this is a top tier restaurant. The food was artful and delicious, and the wine pairing was creative, diverse, and perfectly fitting. Overall this was a spiritual experience for my taste buds. Could easily compete with Micheline rated restaurants.

Our first time and Table at Season to a Taste did not disappoint. The ambiance was cozy & neat, service attentive but not overbearing, & food creative & delicious. I highly recommend this low-profile neighborhood gem of a restaurant.

Great service in any sense, but given its 4.9 rating on opentable, I would have to say I was somewhat disappointed. Starting with oysters on pineapple dressing and Hamachi tartare, the appetizers were remarkably refreshing. The second course was wonton soup and the soup itself was good (9 out of 10 to the Chinese original), but the wonton was a little sour and chewy with unexpected spices making me felt like it might be a unusual attempt. For the main course, I had to admit my disappointment (I am really not a person give harsh reviews). The monkfish itself is palatable, however, the sauce surrounding was indescribable that combined several exotic spices making it so weird and hard to swallow. I guess for main course people usually do not want very audacious experiment as it's a big portion of the menu. The main course part was just too wild and robust (for both two dishes as my partner took the other). The chocolate marsquise at the end was honestly too salty that overwhelmed the sweetness of chocolate. In short, overall it might be the problem of the March menu, as the table has great feedback before, but as prix fixe menu (though not very expensive), I would expect something more mild and congruent.

The Table at Season to Taste is a fabulous restaurant! With a tiny rickety looking kitchen Carl Dooley turns out creative and delicious food. If one goes there with another person, you can order everything on the menu and share. It is a delightful experience.

The service was very attentive but not hovering and excellent throughout the evening. Every question was answered, some very detailed especially where and how the venison was raised. The roasted venison mole was excellent as were the poached veal loin and tongue caesar and both desserts - Lemon Yozu Posst and the German Chocolate Cake. Carl Dooley is a very creative chef and each dish is unique and wonderful (Mary the pastry chef shined as well).

Book in advance--it's hard to get reservations at "normal" dinner hours so be sure to book in advance. They are a small neighborhood restaurant with a prix-fixe menu. I recommend getting the wine pairing to really enhance the experience. The food is fantastic and the wine pairings are a lot of fun. The service is great--they are very knowledgeable about both the food and wine so be sure to ask lots of questions. :) This is a great spot for a date night or other romantic occasion (or just a night out on the town). Come prepared to try some fun new food and flavor combinations.

The Table is small - 20 tables and their dining format is a 4 course tasting menu with a choice of 2 dishes for each course, with an optional wine pairing. We did the wine pairing and I heartily recommend it (though not if you are driving) - we learned about some very interesting new-to-us wines from our well informed waiter and it was obvious that they had been chosen with care to enhance the wonderful food.
There were 2 of us so we ordered one of each dish and shared so we could taste everything on the menu - there were no disappointments, everything was delicious and the presentation was impeccable. I particularly liked the portion sizes which allowed us to taste everything without feeling like we had overeaten - we left feeling satisfied rather than overly full.
This was an expensive meal, so definitely a location for special occasions - but worth every penny. We will definitely be back.

This place couldn't have been better. Small place on an area of Mass Ave that's down the road from a lot of places in the area.

It's a pretty focused prixe menu, but the food is outstanding and their recommended wine pairings have you trying new things that complement the food as well. Friendly and knowledgeable wait staff gives an overview on everything they bring, but not in a way that interrupts the meal or conversation. On the night we went dishes included a tuna sashimi and veal loin and tongue to start followed by smoked trout/ramen noodles and entrees of venison mole and shrimp boulebaisse. My wife and I split everything which worked out great.

You're definitely paying for how great this place is, but you'll get a really special night out of it.
