It was my moms birthday and everything tasted amazing and service was quick.
The Sycamore Inn is one of the finest dining establishments in the Inland Empire. My wife and I have been dining here for 40 years. Excellent food and service!
The place was great! but customer service not too sure.
Food and service were excellent.
Positve raves about the oysters served and the rare prime rib from picky brother-in-law. Lobster a good value and succulent-perfectly cooked. Sides are large and serve 3 or 4, deliciously. Nice, creative drinks menu, like a pineapple upside down something. I brought in a professionally made birthday cake and server cheerfully kept it refrigerated, then served it, a surprise for our birthday girl. Except, it meant no room for their delicious desserts. Ambience and service elegant and professional. I have been here before over many, many years (I was a teenager the first time and now I am 69) and have never been disappointed. Always a good choice, when our party of 5 has $650.00 to spend on a celebration (includes drinks and champagne and tip). No regrets. Lucky us.
We were there for my Birthday. The service was amazing, never had to call for service, they were there to meet your needs. The food was amazing, and it is so comfortable and pretty there. The décor is nice and the people are friendly. I am grateful for them making it a special time for me and my friends for dinner. I got a free desert and a Birthday song as well.
Went for my wife's birthday. Excellent food and atmosphere. Worth the drive from Irvine for a special occasion. I usually to Ruth's Chris for special nights, but this was just as good and, like Ruth's Chris, well worth the money. Staff was very nice
Omg! If you want a really nice old school steakhouse experience, this is the place! We loved the vibe, very elegant, but not too stuffy. We shared a Sycamore salad to start. Baby gield greens, balsamic vinaigrette with crumbled gorgonzola and candied walnuts. There was a nice light spicy tang to the dressing and the walnuts had a touch of cinnamon. We shared the 20 oz, bone-in prime rib which was plenty for two...so juicy, perfectly prepared. The au jus and horseradish cream were perfect, they will provide fresh grated horseradish to spice it up. Mashed potatoes were a perfect addition. Finished with berry creme brulee' which was soooo good! We shared a bottle of Lorenzi Zinfandel which was a perfect accompaniment. Can't wait to go back!!
Experience was excellent as was our waiter Chris. Had dinner reservations on a Friday night at 6:30 and requested a booth. Showed up and they sat us right away in a booth by the fireplace. Had Filet Mignon and their signature Prime Rib. Both prepared nicely to our enjoyment. Each plate was roughly $40 with their average entree running between $40 and $60. Appetizers are $10+ each. We had the stuffed mushrooms at $16.50... which were very very good! Would highly recommend the Sycamore Inn for a romantic or special occasion dinner. Call ahead for reservations as it can get crowded on weekend nights.
We were visiting from Washington and celebrating my mother’s 90th birthday. The service was extraordinarily
We were seated promptly. The chairs were comfortable. The waiter was very professional. He explained everything to our satisfaction. The pace was just right. Nothing was rushed, nor did we feel neglected at any time. The food was outstanding! I had the Scottish Salmon, which was done to perfection.
We will be back!
The quality of food has seemingly declined over the years. The service we have had the last two times has been mediocre at best (this last time was much better than the prior time yet was not really good. Disappointing.
We went there for mothers day, the food was excellent and the servers and staff were all very friendly. It did take a bit longer between courses to get service and we had to ask for the bread but it looked like the server was doing their best to take care of everyone. I think we just got lost amongst the larger parties that were there that day. i would definitely go back.
Service was slow and poor. One of steaks came cold!! Not prepared to handle Mother’s Day traffic. They reversed the charge for the cold plate, without an apology. No good
I would not recommend this place ,because we were there on time but they still gave away our table because one couple was late. They could have sat us .
We made Mother’s Day Brunch a month in advance. Specifically asked for a table in the main dining room. When we arrived I mentioned my request. He said the main dining was full and we would be in the side. Walked through main dining. SIX AVAILABLE FOUR TOPS. HELLOOOOO.
I realize that you are a steakhouse and I am looking forward to trying your dinner menu sometime. But the three of us are seniors and navigating your off-kilter stairs to be seated in the basement was extremely difficult. The service was excellent. But the effort to travel upstairs and obtain our food was not commensurate to the enjoyment of the meal.
They are always very good, not only in food, but also in service.
Great service, quiet, fantastic prime rib!
The Sycamore Inn is one of the nicest restaurants in the area. Very traditional elegance.
A good ol' steak house, very easily the best restaurant in the area. Every item was flawleess! Mushrooms are a must!
Too loud to hear anyone at the table
All good for dinner. Great service and food.
Five stars all around. Great food. Everything well prepared and tasty, from appetizers and salads to entrees and desserts. Fantastic chocolate and Grand Marnier soufflés.
Service was superb. Top notch professionals. Very attentive without being obtrusive. Great atmosphere and ambiance too. Definitely will be coming back.
This was our third visit to The Sycamore Inn, and although not quite as good as the previous meals, it was still good. My wife enjoyed her miso glazed sea bass, and we shared a pre-dinner salad that was excellent. However, the waitress erred on my cocktail order (sounded like she never heard of a Negroni. Odd.), my au gratin potatoes were slightly under-cooked, and my rib-eye steak was underwhelming.
We will return, but this visit was a bit unsatisfying. Disappointing since it was our wedding anniversary.
Food service was all excellent , be coming back again .
Great steaks and the best sea-bass. Soufflés are phenomenal. Bob was our waiter and was exceptional. Will go again for sure.
The food is wonderful, and the service first rate. The Restaurant has been a staple in the area for many years, and has remained a great establishment. It is a great for celebrations, too. The service is exceptional.
We love Sycamore Inn. Great food, can't find another steak quite like it and the creamed spinach is the best, again can't find the same taste anywhere else. The service is absolutely the best. We always ask for Bobby. That man has Class. It is a great intimate dinner, quiet enough to talk through dinner and we don't have to yell. Great wine list, never disappoints.
Our dinners were spectacular!! Excellent wine list.
The waiter had a attitude and none of us cared for our food. The steak was over cooked and dry.
The Sycamore Inn is more than just a Roadhouse on Route 66, but an icon of one of Cucamonga's great resturants of the past. Yes, while still a special spot, it's great days seem far behind it. The minestrone soup was once a meal unto itself with a feeling of an origin from the old world. Now it is some undercook vegetables with a little pasta. My memories of dining go back over 60 years when food and family came together ... times of the past.
Great ambiance. My wife and I really enjoy the history of this beautiful place. Didn’t have the minestrone this visit, but it is delicious. Did have a Martini. Strong, but tasty. Got a buzz on. The service is great. Best advice is to slow down from your daily routine and enjoy!
I must say this place is absolutely elegant. The food was very delicious and tastey. The service is amazing.
As usual, the Sycamore Inn does NOT disappoint...had a lovely dinner, paired with a lovely, notable wine. The owner even stopped by our table to see how we were enjoying the evening, and we had a nice chat. If you're not sure where to go for a special occasion, look no further. The Sycamore Inn is a lovely, historical, culinary delight, with a rather impressive wine list, too.
ALWAYS a TREAT to enjoy a meal at the Sycamore INN!
Easter brunch. Was great!
Went for Easter Brunch. The food, the ambience, the service, the music weave a tapestry of elegance of years gone by. Could not be better
