We were visiting from Washington and celebrating my mother’s 90th birthday. The service was extraordinarily
We were seated promptly. The chairs were comfortable. The waiter was very professional. He explained everything to our satisfaction. The pace was just right. Nothing was rushed, nor did we feel neglected at any time. The food was outstanding! I had the Scottish Salmon, which was done to perfection.
We will be back!
The quality of food has seemingly declined over the years. The service we have had the last two times has been mediocre at best (this last time was much better than the prior time yet was not really good. Disappointing.
We went there for mothers day, the food was excellent and the servers and staff were all very friendly. It did take a bit longer between courses to get service and we had to ask for the bread but it looked like the server was doing their best to take care of everyone. I think we just got lost amongst the larger parties that were there that day. i would definitely go back.
Service was slow and poor. One of steaks came cold!! Not prepared to handle Mother’s Day traffic. They reversed the charge for the cold plate, without an apology. No good
I would not recommend this place ,because we were there on time but they still gave away our table because one couple was late. They could have sat us .
We made Mother’s Day Brunch a month in advance. Specifically asked for a table in the main dining room. When we arrived I mentioned my request. He said the main dining was full and we would be in the side. Walked through main dining. SIX AVAILABLE FOUR TOPS. HELLOOOOO.
I realize that you are a steakhouse and I am looking forward to trying your dinner menu sometime. But the three of us are seniors and navigating your off-kilter stairs to be seated in the basement was extremely difficult. The service was excellent. But the effort to travel upstairs and obtain our food was not commensurate to the enjoyment of the meal.
They are always very good, not only in food, but also in service.
Great service, quiet, fantastic prime rib!
The Sycamore Inn is one of the nicest restaurants in the area. Very traditional elegance.
A good ol' steak house, very easily the best restaurant in the area. Every item was flawleess! Mushrooms are a must!
Too loud to hear anyone at the table
All good for dinner. Great service and food.
Five stars all around. Great food. Everything well prepared and tasty, from appetizers and salads to entrees and desserts. Fantastic chocolate and Grand Marnier soufflés.
Service was superb. Top notch professionals. Very attentive without being obtrusive. Great atmosphere and ambiance too. Definitely will be coming back.
This was our third visit to The Sycamore Inn, and although not quite as good as the previous meals, it was still good. My wife enjoyed her miso glazed sea bass, and we shared a pre-dinner salad that was excellent. However, the waitress erred on my cocktail order (sounded like she never heard of a Negroni. Odd.), my au gratin potatoes were slightly under-cooked, and my rib-eye steak was underwhelming.
We will return, but this visit was a bit unsatisfying. Disappointing since it was our wedding anniversary.
Food service was all excellent , be coming back again .
Great steaks and the best sea-bass. Soufflés are phenomenal. Bob was our waiter and was exceptional. Will go again for sure.
The food is wonderful, and the service first rate. The Restaurant has been a staple in the area for many years, and has remained a great establishment. It is a great for celebrations, too. The service is exceptional.
We love Sycamore Inn. Great food, can't find another steak quite like it and the creamed spinach is the best, again can't find the same taste anywhere else. The service is absolutely the best. We always ask for Bobby. That man has Class. It is a great intimate dinner, quiet enough to talk through dinner and we don't have to yell. Great wine list, never disappoints.
Our dinners were spectacular!! Excellent wine list.
The waiter had a attitude and none of us cared for our food. The steak was over cooked and dry.
The Sycamore Inn is more than just a Roadhouse on Route 66, but an icon of one of Cucamonga's great resturants of the past. Yes, while still a special spot, it's great days seem far behind it. The minestrone soup was once a meal unto itself with a feeling of an origin from the old world. Now it is some undercook vegetables with a little pasta. My memories of dining go back over 60 years when food and family came together ... times of the past.
Great ambiance. My wife and I really enjoy the history of this beautiful place. Didn’t have the minestrone this visit, but it is delicious. Did have a Martini. Strong, but tasty. Got a buzz on. The service is great. Best advice is to slow down from your daily routine and enjoy!
I must say this place is absolutely elegant. The food was very delicious and tastey. The service is amazing.
As usual, the Sycamore Inn does NOT disappoint...had a lovely dinner, paired with a lovely, notable wine. The owner even stopped by our table to see how we were enjoying the evening, and we had a nice chat. If you're not sure where to go for a special occasion, look no further. The Sycamore Inn is a lovely, historical, culinary delight, with a rather impressive wine list, too.
ALWAYS a TREAT to enjoy a meal at the Sycamore INN!
Easter brunch. Was great!
Went for Easter Brunch. The food, the ambience, the service, the music weave a tapestry of elegance of years gone by. Could not be better
Ordered a filet medium rare and it came out rare. The grill marks were very prominent and gave it a burnt taste. The steak overall had no flavor other than that. The au gratin potatoes were hard and under cooked. The cream corn had good flavor but the corn kernels were hard. The cheesecake was delicious. Dinner chicken plate wasn't available and the drinks were over priced. Sub par for a restaurant that has been in business for so long
Outstanding service and the food was great!!
Superior food and service! Our waiter, Bob was phenomenal!! Excellent way to celebrate our 1 year anniversary!!!
Carla and Rod Davis
One of the oldest restaurants in California. Not only a great selection of steaks, seafood wines and other dishes, but lots of others worth trying. The wait staff attentive and Ed the waiter is a must have. Ed will tell you what is best to order and does not upsell.
While the food was fantastic, 1 detail really put a downer on what was supposed to be a special dinner out with my husband. The tables are SOOOO close together that I could hold hands with the person at the table next to us. We paid a lot for a great meal, hoping for intimate, relaxing, conversation, only to not be able to speak comfortably once the tables next to us were sat. Very awkward.
Perfect in every way. The best rack of lamb I have ever eaten. The ambience, service and food cannot be matched in the Inland Empire
The food and drink were great. Service, less so. Our waiter, when I ordered the rack of lamb, appropriately asked me my choice for side dish and I chose sautéed spinach. My wife made a choice of first, 8 oz and then changed to 10 oz filet. He did not ask her her choice of sides until I reminded him of it. When the meal was done, and the bill brought, we found that he in fact had served an 8 oz steak. Another thing, the food took an inordinate amount of time to arrive after being ordered. My wife felt like she was ignored by our waiter. She will not come back.
Every course was very fresh and delicious! Food came out very timely. Wait staff was very attentive and we never had to ask for anything. I will definitely remember this gem next time I want a 5 Star meal and service!
The best Chilean Sea Bass I’ve ever had! Wonderful staff and service. The perfect place for a special occasion.
It surprised us with how outstanding the food was. Our server was very attentive, funny, and helpful. We will be back.
