Best restaurant in the area. I make a point of dining here every time I visit family in McPherson.
They did not have our reservation, no table ready. Very disappointing.
It was great
The bison meatloaf was fantastic and highly recommended!!!!
Reception and Wait Staff very friendly and informative. Swedish meatball and potato sausage plate flavorful and more than enough as serving.
The restaurant did not have our reservation! Food was good. Decor was okay.
Great food, especially the coffee creme brulee - It was AMAZING
For us this was a fun road trip detour off of I 70. Yummy lingonberry pancakes and the smoked salmon BLT was also delish. Then we shopped in the cute surrounding boutiques & galleries.
Very dissapointed did not eat there menu very limited on swedish food walked by diners food looked like swedish night at your local prision servers friendly but totally clueless restrooms filthy at 7 pm at 7 people restaurant dark weirdly designed me to bartender what swedish booze do you have....ahhhh aquavit ... please make me a sweedish cocktail..i dont know any. One bottle of sweedish anything sorry i wanted to give you money and i interupted your dishing on the help to another employee. Also please tune piano in bar it was so out of tune neighborhood dogs were howling good points good points Nice piano player one nice microbrew and leaving and having picnic at corando heights for sunset
Food was delicious all around. We had a variety of items and all were cooked perfectly; meatballs and potato sausage were particular standouts for us. Lingonberry lemonade was a favorite with half of us and the other half preferred lingonberry iced tea; they were amazing about letting us switch which we had on refills so that we could try them both. Wanted to try dessert but we were too full!
Lindsborg is an adorable community and a stop at The Swedish Crown Restaurant is a must for a taste of Sweden. The bartender was great and I would highly recommend the lingonberry margarita.
My husband and I enjoyed our date night before theater dinner. The food was well prepared creative and tasty. The waitstaff were just right. Timing of our appetizer, meal and desert perfect. Didn't feel rushed to eat before the next course came..
Well prepared casual fare for lunch. Large portion and friendly and professional staff.
The Swedish Crown has a casual dining area in the front, and a more formal dining area and bar in the back. We sat in the back, and enjoyed a delicious smoked salmon appetizer and a traditional Swedish meal of sausage, meatballs, mashed potatoes and lingonberries. Delicious! We were thrilled! Service was excellent, too!
Food and service of the highest quality. Very pleasant ambiance. So glad to have found this place. We will definitely be back.
A group of four friends. We had four different menus and enjoyed each. The restaurant is clean; service was available within reason; the ambience at lunch time was to be expected. We were all satisfied with the experience and would hope to be able to dine there again - maybe an evening dinner next time.
Sometimes on Tuesday they offer Thai Night. We thought the Thai offerings were great. They have great prime rib on Saturday. Very good fish special on Fri night. We want to try the Sunday brunch one of these days
I want to like the Vasa. It's located where I live. The chef knows how to marry flavors and that is good. There are other problems though. We were there on Prime Rib Night at 6pm. They had only two pieces left. We were a party of four WITH reservations. One member ordered strip steak since she could not get prime rib. It was flavorful but boot leather tough. Sampled by all to prove it. I would have returned it myself. The prime rib was the most thinly sliced I have ever seen EVER. The alcoholic beverages are call liquor only. One cannot just order a scotch and water. THEN the portions are so small that we looked at each other in disbelief. I am sorry, 1/3 glass of wine is ridiculous! Cut costs somewhere else. Like I said, I want to like the Vasa. I have given them numerous tries. May not go back.
We were looking forward to dining at the Swedish Crown. We ate there for a Monday lunch. We were disappointed in the quality of the food. We ordered the swedish meatballs and potato sausage and the shrimp spinach salad. The potato sausage was scant. The spinach salad was meager and overpriced at $12.99. There wasn't enough shrimp and goat cheese, very little and a few almonds. Swedish menu items at lunch seemed to be limited.
The restaurant was cold and the salad bar had not been refreshed, so little to offer here. The ostkaka was delicious. Overall, we were disappointed and won't be able to recommend this place for dining.
We sat in the main dining room, very casual and family friendly. Food was generally good and service ok - they seemed a bit hared even though there were only a handful of us in the whole place. Save your money and skip the mixed drinks as there's hardly a drop of alcohol. The lingonberry lemonade is very tasty. If it's an adults night or you want a less casual experience ask to be seated in the Vasa section. I wish we had known as it's much nicer - table clothes, linen napkins, fireplace, dimmer lighting.
