    There were lots of flies where we were sitting and my toast came out a slice at a time already buttered with jam on, both slices were different sizes with a good 10 minutes between each slice it was very odd, the week before it was served as two slices of toast with the butter and jam to put on yourself. It was a weird experience.

    Unfortunately on this visit our food was not great, my beef in my beef rice bowl was tough and not crispy as described but more soggy. The portuguese tart was small, just what you would get from a coffee shop with nothing else on plate not even any decoration or fruit - £3.50. Coffees were expensive. Staff were lovely, offered us a quieter table as a noisy crowd were near to our original table. Always liked The Swan but wouldn't rush back due to quality of food.

    Food was nice enough, service wasn’t great. Although the members of staff working were friendly, they were inattentive. We had to ask to order some desserts, were not offered any additional drinks throughout the 2.5 hours we were there and had to go to the bar to request to pay. Surprised to see there is a 10% service charge automatically added to the bill for small tables mid week on this basis.

    First visit quite impressed. Decent service reasonable wine prices Food very good. Rump steak best I’ve had in a long while and cooked how I like it

    This is the first time we have eaten here as a couple. My husband was amazed by everything. We will be back.

    Very good English country restaurant. I decided to be brave an order tacos since it was Taco Tuesday. I ordered one each chicken, beef & fish taco. The fish was battered/fried haddock with too much sauce. The chicken had an Indian tinga-spice flavor and was overcooked. The beef had a Birria sauce that was also Indian inspired. Nothing was spicy and all were interesting but none were very much like a taco (I'm from Texas).

    The Steaks were lovely all four of us had them, we all enjoyed them. The only gripe was we felt as if we were being rushed out the door before 10pm what!
