The Sun Dial Restaurant at the Westin Peachtree Plaza Ratings and Reviews
Great service. Great view. However, the rotation feature of the restaurant hasn’t been working for some time. In all fairness, no fault of the restaurant; they have it posted on their website. OneTable reservation fails to mention this. Without the rotation feature, which was the only reason for visiting the restaurant, I can’t help but give it a very low rating. Personally, a $170.00 lunch for two adults, two high schoolers and an elementary child is pretty steep by my books. OneTable needs to update these types of key info.
Lunch with friends visiting Atlanta. Great view of Atlanta skyline.
Excellent place to eat and enjoy a conversation. Friendly staff.
Salmon entree fresh but lacks flavor; grits and shrimp ordered was excellent.
Good place to bring out-of-town friends esp. if visiting Atlanta for first time.
In town for the SEC Football Championship. Celebrated UGA’s win with dinner at the Sundial. View of the city was great backdrop for really nice dinner. May I suggest the lamb chops from the varied menu options. Very tender and well seasoned. Always find the Sundial a special destination.
This restaurant was a great choice for a nice romantic date for us. We loved it had and great time. The experience was great from the beginning making reservations staff greeting waiter was the best, food was delicious. We will definitely recommend and will definitely go again.
We have taken our grandchildren to the Sundial since the first one was 2 years old for our annual Thanksgiving lunch. He is now 8. The food was fine and all three grandchildren cleaned their plates.
I understand why the restaurant no longer rotates, but it really was the highlight of our visit every year to make the 360 so the children could see all of the views of the city. It was the draw for us so, sad to say, I doubt we will go again now that it no longer rotates.
There were only 4 other sets of people being seated at our arrival time, yet we were placed with a view of I-85. While that may be appealing to some, a view of the new stadium or the old dome would have been more fun for the grandchildren. The hostess was not overly friendly nor accommodating.
While the food and service were just as good as usual, the joy of going has greatly diminished now without the rotation.
I went for the view. Of course The Sun Dial has been dialed back since the tragic accident in April, but when it's not crowded, and the weather is nice, you can stroll around and get the views. So don't stay away because the pavilion doesn't revolve. The food was very good, and very expensive.
