Amazing experience today. I always like going for lunch because you can see all of Atlanta. Such an awesome amazing experience!
My wife and I chose this restaurant for our annive3rsary dinner and were not disappointed. The view of the sun setting on Atlanta was stunning, the service was personal and professional and the food was first rate.
Very beautiful views and delicious food
This was my first time here. The bottle of wine we bought and the view were definitely the only good thing about this place. Despite having a reservation, we happily waited 20 minutes until we got seated. Bread was stale, but still hopeful, we ordered the New York strip and the sea bass. The steak literally tasted burnt, like you could taste the char on it, and it was tough and dry—>you had to work hard to chew it. And then the sea bass was definitely a kid’s portion and the blandest fish I’ve ever eaten in my life. Now don’t get me started with the risotto, it tasted like they used toilet water to cook it. On top of all that, the food was lukewarm. The waiter never asked how the meal was, like she knows the food here tastes like crap. Bottom line is, considering the many options we have in this great city, spend your money else where. Definitely not worth it.
The food was amazing, the atmosphere outstanding, and the service was GREAT!!!
Food is great
It was great. We just waited an entire hour to be seated
Just about everything was GREAT!! I had a reservation at 9p but did not get seated until about 9:20-9:30. They called several times during the week to confirm my reservation so I was a little annoyed the table was not ready. Other than that everything was great
The weather made the view foggy for the most part but when it cleared up it was amazing. The elevator ride plus view was very pleasant, if you are not afraid of heights. Overall Great service good people. The food better than expected. Definitely will comeback after the rotation feature comes back.
Dinner was excellent. Billy, our waiter, was wonderful. Very helpful and knowledgeable.
Beautiful view but you are definitely paying for it in the menu prices and drinks.
Food. Service. Ambiance all 10/10. Will definitely be back, would definitely recommend.
Had a server that was conscientious and entertaining. Made you happy to be there. Ask for Anne if you also want a little bit of fun!
Not “shy Anne”
Food was excellent.
Service was great. Food was outstanding.
The view is simply beautiful. The meal was delicious but very expensive. I would say it is definitely a great one time restaurant and experience when in ATL. David our waiter was very good.
very nice staff, excellent service. amazing view. good for birthdays. 10/10 recommend
Our steaks were undercooked. They fixed it quickly. Was just surprised by this as I didn't expect a $60 steak to be cooked wrong.
Variety of food on menu was terrible
Way over priced
Bread all 3 kinds where not tasty Need new
Crab cake appetizer way over priced for what you get.
Comment about sharing or Substituting and having to order an entrée per person is just not right written on the menu very insulting.
Would not return or recommend to family or friends. Leslie MCGwire
Overpriced, waited almost an hour for our dinner, 3 of 4 entrees were returned for being too salty...inedible. Second attempt the sides were also so salty we couldn’t eat them. After asking for manager, she gave us 20% off or $12 off each entree. Still over $100 per person for a terrible meal. Don’t waste your money or time... tourist trap.
This was a terrible dining experience. It's basically a tourist trap. There were crying babies to start and we were told that each person had to purchase an entree. The table behind us had two young women scantily clad, and the server took a liking to them. Therefore your service was sacrificed. He also did not hold them accountable to the entree rule when we.wouls have gladly liked soup and salad at some plates. The food was mediocre at best. Certainly not worth the money. If you want a good view of the city and overpriced food.with bad service this is the place to go. Otherwise, alot better options in Atlanta.
Great view, food and drinks took longer than usual.
Food was ok.
Lackluster service coupled with lackluster food in an environment that is dated, dirty and worn sums up our experience.
The best part of dinner was the view.
Visiting Atlanta for a few days. We had Anne as our sever. She was very friendly and made the experience perfect. The food was very good. Had the crab cake. Sea bass, and the ribeye.
First time in Atlanta. Great meal, we enjoyed our tomahawk steak very much.
We had a wonderful time at the Sun Dial restaurant. Our server Darren recommended an excellent cabernet to start the evening. He highlighted the specials on the menu. For an appetizer my wife had a wedge salad and I had the shrimp bisque soup. For our entrées she had the sea bass and I decided on the pork chop. Both entrees were superb. For dessert t split an order of fried apple cake. The view from our table of Atlanta was spectacular. A very nice way to end an eventful day.
Amazing View, great service. The food Is good, but nothing impressive.
Overall a recommended experience
It was nice time with my girlfriend on my birthday!
The food was excellent, the atmosphere quiet. The view was outstanding.
Food was incredible. Server was amazing, she made our night, even took the time to asked us to take a picture of us and asked us to pose and all. View was amazing even though it was a rainy day
Anniversary dinner. Great service and view. Over priced food, but you have to pay for the view.
It was a wonderful experience in my wife really really enjoyed it
The view cannot be beaten. We were staying in Atlanta Westin and went up to the bar on the 72 floor on our first night for drinks and appetizers. Everything was outstanding. The second night we decided to have dinner at Sundial. The view is extraordinary and that is well worth the price. The food is good. I had the vegetable tortellini. It was good, but the noodle dough was a bit mushy and the filling was just OK. It was good but wasn't spectacular. He had the sea bass and it was slightly undercooked. We love sushi but the large chunks of bass were really underdone and didn't flake at all. The taste was good, the risotto was a little overcooked and swimming in butter. I would go back for the view, not the food.
Service was excellent and food was delicious.
Our waitress Ann was exceptional.
Food was very pricey
The host acted like she was not happy to be there. So we felt the same way. And when we asked not to be set on top of someone they acted like we asked for free lunch. They moved us over 1 table. We needed some privacy so we had to have our meeting after lunch. And my attorney charges 550.00 an hour. So that turned out to be an expensive meeting for me. I have been a customer over 25 years but this time was a very bad experience. I left with no desire to come back. Thanks for letting me tell you about my experience. My number is 404-433-2426.
The atmosphere was absolutely beautiful; however, it was quite chilly, to the point that I had to wear my dates coat. Please consider adjusting the air condition setting so that on your guest are comfortable and will look forward to returning.
We have been to The Sun Dial Restaurant a few times in the past when in Atlanta for the Merchandise Mart!
I selected The Sun Dial restaurant for dinner to celebrate my wife’s birthday and we were disappointed that the restaurant did not offer any complimentary dessert or beverage! We will be back!!!
Simply amazing great atmosphere, great people lovely view and even better food.
I took my wife there for our anniversary and we loved the atmosphere, the service was first class and the food was great, definitely a great experience for us!!!
Staff was very accommodating to my mother in law who is handicapped. They transported her in the service elevator and got her to her table easily. Food and service were wonderful.
