Wonderful meal with great service. Really enjoyed the view with a thunderstorm.
The sundial was amazing! The staff has Great service skills, were very friendly, and the view is spectacular. It was very intimate and a great birthday lunch for my boyfriend. I would definitely be going back soon.
My experience was amazing i give it a 5 star. It was my Girlfriends birthday dinner surprise and she loved the way she was able to see all of Atlanta, she also loves the sunset the food was probably the best part. So overall the best experience thus far
Service and food was amazing, thank you so much to the team for helping me propose to my now fiancé!
You’re paying for the view. The food was good - scallops ok, side dishes good, chicken v good. Be aware of that they do have a kids menu, we didn’t know and it would have helped us
It was my date and I first time there yesterday. Our waitress Rhonda was very pleasant and detail with the menu choices. Thumbs Up
Amazing experience and incredible food. The chef and waitress were tremendous in working with my daughter and her food allergies. We had a wonderful Father’s Day brunch. Thank you to all!
Great food and great service. The ride up the elevator was breathtaking
Truthfully, l did not expect to find a non-dairy entree option. Was l pleasantly surprised to have a filling, delicious, abundantly vegetable-filled dinner! It was my husband's choice for a Father's Day dinner the Saturday night before. Great view with a wonderful dinner and dessert.
Great place and great views. The setvice was outstading from the moment that we arrived to the moment that we left. Everyone greeted us with a smile and the service was superb.
The meals was exquisite and you were able to taste the cut above of the steak. The flavor was well balance and they made my niece birthday very special.
Thank you Kim!
The idea of the Sun Dial is lovely; an exclusive setting in which to dine and enjoy the view. However, the constant reminders of entree minimums, the ridiculous ques to get to the elevator, the menu with rules and regulations about pricing and ordering all through it along with the average service staff detract from the experience. It’s like an attempt to create a high end restaurant but executed by a team with mid market knowledge. The food was blah. Starters were brought out before our bottle of wine was even brought to the table. Our dishes were not cleared before mains were brought. One entree was cold. Not warm... actually cold. There was a constant parade of folks traipsing to the bar to take pics and pay a minimum to come up for the experience (understandably so... the view is amazing) The rotating feature was broken. The restrooms were 2 staircases above the dining floor- one had to navigate back through the tourist photo taking part to use the facilities. There aren’t restrooms designated for then restaurant only. Our server was average. The wait staff mediocre. We were greeted very apathetically by both the host down in the lobby as well as by the multitude of hostesses at the desk up in the restaurant. The management could take a lesson from other successful restaurants and note that higher prices do not automatically equate to a nicer experience.
We had an amazing time, the only downside was it was really warm in the restaurant...
Great scenery, my birthday friend had a awesome time. Will be back
Four out of 11 of us had four tenderloin dishes and quality grade of beef was mediocre and bland among all four guests who had it. NY strip was actually more tender and better seasoned for two other guests. We now understand why the restaurant cannot rotate as it used to in the past. However, without the rotating feature for Sundial, the venue was just not the same as it used to be. Overall it was good otherwise except for wine choices.
The food is fantastic. Always order the iced tea yum! The fried chicken macaroni is my favorite. The only recommendation to the restaurant is to make sure plates are cleared quickly after appetizers before meal arrives, it’s a expectation at this level. It’s something I’m used to with nice restaurants in Atlanta. Also we didn’t get plates for the appetizer until we asked for it after it was on the table, little things add up that are expected at this type of restaurant. Otherwise was delicious.
Amazing view, food, and server! Great experience. This was a celebration for my nephews graduation-it will be one that we will have a wonderful memory. We drove all the way from South Carolina to make this memory.
Beautiful ambiance, spectacular view and extremely courteous wait staff. All around exceptional experience!
Our waitress Ms. Ann was phenomenal. She provided exceptional service!
We absolutely enjoyed the ambiance of the Sun Dial. Although the experience of the revolver is not yet into play, but the view was still beautiful. Our food was simply delicious, along with our waitress that displayed the best of high quality customer service, with a smiling gracefully touch of hospitality.
Skip the dinner. Enjoy an ap or two & a few cocktails. Extremely overpriced & one of.our meals, although sent back, was inedible. (The table before us had the same issue.)
It does not turn any more. Food & drinks are very pricey. Service is okay. But, not worth the exhorbatant pricing.
It doesn't spin anymore. The price isn't worth it. The service was subpar as well.
You are paying for the view, and now that it doesn't rotate, not as great since you have to walk around. Very overpriced for average tasting food. I celebrated my birthday there. Most restaurants I've been to will give the birthday recipient a complimentary dessert, but not here. They asked what I wanted, put a candle on it and charged me .
We had the Caesar Ny strip and the half rack of lamb, the food was great! The service was awesome! I’d highly recommend!
Our sever was rude and intimidating. Brought my food not the way I asked and then got upset with me. I ended up sending my food back and just not eating there. The view over the city however was amazing.
No longer rotating due to previous accident. Poor service. Food mediocre. Good views though.
The view and environment in the restaurant was everything you could ask for, but the food was disappointingly sub-par (especially for the price). I had the seasonal halibut and while there was nothing quite wrong with it, you would just expect more from a $50 plate of food in terms of flavor, cook quality, and portion. My Girlfriend enjoyed the New York Strip Steak which seemed to be of a much higher quality than the halibut, and a generous portion as well, but also on the plate was just some corn and whole baby potatoes that seemed to be unseasoned and again, not what you would expect when you order a $60 plate of food. I recommend paying the $8 to see the view and eating elsewhere for the best experience.
Excellent meal and ambiance. My kids enjoyed the experience and the food as well.
I spent the same amount of money for 2 people to go on an 8 minute go-cart ride the day before this wonderful brunch. What a great value for food and entertainment. It's a great way to show ANYONE that you enjoy their company. The valet parking is a great perk.
Fantastic meal with a fantastic server and view. Plan to bring our friends when they are in town.
Food was very good and fairly reasonable priced for an upscale restaurant. You cannot beat the ambiance and the stellar view. Hope that it will once again rotate.
Meal was great and the waitress was the best I've ever had.
Experience started out poorly when I made the reservation for 4 then called back an hour later to change to 6 people and they said I was good to go. Then on the day of I received a call saying they can only seat 4. We ended up pushing our reservation back with no choice.
Overall experience was ok.
Ambiance : 5 stars
Food: 3 stars (good but definitely not worth the price)
Service 5 stars
It was my first date ever. Very nice food and service.
Best restaurant experience I have ever had. Great service and staff was friendly.
Ann, our server was amazing and very knowledgeable of the menu. Food was excellent!! Will definitely return!!
It was great. First time at the restaurant and we really enjoyed it.
Though it was a very foggy evening, the incredible service and quality of the food made the experience well worth it.
The service was great and the food was very good. We were disappointed that the restaurant no longer rotates but know the reason behind why it no longer rotates and understand. It would be so easy to place an emergency stop limit switch at any pinch points to prevent anyone getting hurt.
We had lunch for my boyfriends birthday and I have to say it was amazing. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. I want to thank Mimi for the great service.
Despite the fact many tables were available by the window the host informed 30 - 40 min was waiting to get seated or we could get a table far from the window with immediate seat.
This should be asked when we made the reservation and or informed when I had a call from someone 24 hours before to re confirm my reservation.
If they had told me I had to do a special request to seat by the window I would done for sure. Very disappointed service
