Too much of a tourist trap and now that it doesn’t rotate, it’s less of a destination - even for special occasions. The service was impeccable. The food was just ok. Priced too high.

Very nice experience. The rotating function wasn't working, but I knew that before reserving the table. Still, the view was gorgeous and the food was good. This helped make my 2nd anniversary a very special day!

I went to dinner with my 12-year-old son, and he and I split a steak, had some fries, I had a couple of drinks and he also had a couple of sodas. I was not there with a date trying to impress her when I could not afford it, I was hanging with my 85 lb son would could not eat a 10 oz steak by himself so as we do at many places, Del Frisco's, Eddie V's, Ruths Chris and others we split a steak and side of fries. Unfortunately, the Sun Dial had to charge me a $12 split plate charge with no warning what so ever, because my son could have eaten off the kid's menu and I could have had a wedge salad and water if I was cheap. Weak way to treat your guests, won't be back to this restaurant. And some wonder why non-chain restaurants fail because the chain restaurants do not step over dollars to scrape for pennies sad with the incredible ambiance and location that this place is really limiting its own potential. Service was also subpar so the server 3 times during dinner never came to check the temperature of the steak either for over $100 this was just not good all around.

My fish dinner was so salty, it was barely edible. If it wasn’t $50, I would have discarded it. Completely disappointed with the food.

Of course, the view was incredible and the wait staff was good. But not good enough to justify a $75 per person cost.

Our server was acting like he was in a hurry, every time we tried to get his attention, it was always one minute please, even when ordering the food he would stop us walk off and come back...my steak wasn’t cook well done it was medium rare. The food was tasteful but way too expensive for the amount of food that we received!

Reservations easy. View is amazing. Food is outstanding.

Small issues: party of 6 adults, set us in a booth where we were very much squished together. Good thing we’re a close family. Food was really good, however they got my husbands order wrong after verifying it before. So his food came out about 10 mins after the rest of the party. Sad, because it was his 40th birthday we were celebrating. Rotating feature not working so we walked around after dinner to see all views.

Major issue.
Valet parking. So slow!!!! We had to park in the neighboring parking lot. My husband met us there so he parked in the Westin valet. He was over by 27 minutes for the 3 hour validation and had to pay $25 and the lady was pretty rude to him about it. We would have been out of there in 3 hours if we hadn’t looked at all of the different views because of the above mentioned rotating feature out of service.
Then we waited and waited for someone to bring the car. When we asked where it was, it was right there to the right of us. I have never been to a valet where they didn’t pull up the car in front of you and hand you your keys. We then had to ask where the keys were and they scrambled to find them. And of course, the valet held on to the keys until we tipped him. Which, we were thinking about not doing due to the lack of customer service.

Overall it was a good experience. Just for the price I expected top notch customer service. Park in the neighboring lot because it’s cheaper and WAY quicker!!! I would recommend it because the food was great and I love my city so seeing it from that view was breathtaking. Our reservations were for 6:15 so we got to see the sunset which was absolutely amazing!

Rhonda Smith was an excellent host and her assistant as well. Not once did we have to look for her to make our requests. But she was always seeking an opportunity to be of service to us. I had once lost hope in customer service, but she was the epitome of excellence! Thank you for making our first date a memorable one! God bless!

Suggestion to place on the website when the rotation will occur. This is a tourist attraction because of the rotating Sun Dial.

Great views and good food. Be prepared to ride a what seem like a few minutes as the eatery is on the 72d floor. Service was not on par with the restaurant. But overall the food (I had the Coca Cola brisket sandwich) was sooo good!!

I love the sun dail! I mean I love it! I try to go 4 times a year. I just think it’s a cool place with good food, again I just love it! My last visit I took my staff of 6 as a treat. They had never been and they always like the places I talk about. They only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because it wasn’t rotating on my trip. I wasn’t aware or I would have rescheduled my lucheon. That rotating feature is just so amazing and I wanted to give my staff that experience. Other than that small issue, my dining experience was AMAZING per the usual. Stephanie was our server and she was GREAT!

Amazing view, comparable to that of the Sugnature room in the Hancock Building in Chicago. Service was fast, kind, and knowledgeable. Food is good but not worth 50-60 for an entree, but then again you’re paying for the price. Crab cake and NY Strip were very good

Our first time at The Sun Dial and we were celebrating our twelfth wedding anniversary. Location was great with fantastic views but the restaurant was having some problems. The dining area was not rotating but that was okay. We received a call from the restaurant to let us know of the problem well before our reservation. The signage and directions within the Westin could have been better. Following the few signs led us in circles in the lobby.

The hosts that greeted us upon arriving upstairs and acknowledged our anniversary celebration but then sat us at a table with a direct view of a column talk about a great way to top off the issue of the dining area not rotating. There were a number of empty tables with unobstructed views but our dinner was destined to be party of 2 with a column.

The food was simply amazing as well as the attention from the server but that view..

"I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The potato-leek soup was amazing and the Bibb lettuce salad was refreshing. The table was split on the monkfish – one person thought it was great, but another felt that the tastes didn't quite mesh. Everyone loved the flat iron steak. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines great

Wait was long despite having a reservation and arriving earlier. But the place is popular so it makes sense. This is truly an experience. Riding the elevator up and down only to have some of the best food in the city in between is crazy. I got the half rack of lamb, medium. Amazing. I don't even like olives in my rice and I ate all of that. Got a specialty drink, "Georgia Peach", was great too. Parking we got lucky with, in a garage next door. They validate parking. Great place for a date, for sure.
