The sun dial is my 8th wonder of the world! Excellent staff, great food, and a view that is truly breathtaking. This was the absolute perfect place to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we’re definitely looking forward to many more date nights at this establishment!
Great view of the city however we regretted it does not rotate anymore. Food was good
Great view of the Atlanta skyline. Improvements would be a larger menu to select from.
Repeat native Atlanta’n customer, says superb service, outstanding food, and an incredible 360• view ! One of our special spots! A++++
This was a last minute reservation for 7 people. I was a little skeptical that we were able to get a table so easily but options were limited and this place had 4.5 stars overall. Other than the wonderful view, the bar and dining experience were TERRIBLE! First, the bar and restaurant "aren't affiliated" so if you have a drink you have close out your tab before going to your table. No big deal except it took 25 minutes to get a drink and another 10 minutes to get the bill. At the table we asked to have wine decanted (didn't happen). When food was served, 5 meals were served and 2 weren't (manager and waiter said waiter forgot to put in 2 of the orders - I had to go find them to get an answer). It took 20-30 minutes for the 2 missing meals to arrive while everyone else's meals got cold. The manager asked what he could do and I said don't charge for those 2 meals and apologize to our table. He said ok but ended up only taking a 10% discount (and giving us each a glass of inexpensive champagne). The food itself was dry, tasteless and the presentation looked as if the food came off a buffet. Oh, and the rotation was broken, so the claim to fame rotating restaurant couldn't even be enjoyed. Two side notes: 1) Someone else told me (after the fact) they recently had a similar bad experience at Sundial and someone on the elevator down from the restaurant said "oh no, don't eat at Sundial, just go for the view and drinks.) 2) I had another group dinner earlier in the week at Polaris above the Hyatt. That is also a rotating restaurant with a view although not as high up. However, the service, food, presentation and ambiance were all amazing so I would recommend go there if you are looking for a view and a good dining experience.
Overall we had a wonderful experience. There was a live band playing so added a nice ambience. Food was presented well and delicious. Prices matched the upscale restaurant but highly worth it for the view and the ambience. Amazing views of Atlanta especially with the sunset. Only downfall would be that if you have a group of 5 you get put on a small round table which gets a little cozy. Not all business people want to be that close to one another at a meal. Again overall an amazing experience!
food was great ! Michael our waiter was wonderful!
The atmosphere alone is worth the money! Gorgeous sunset overlooking metro Atlanta. Great food & Great service!
The food was superb, and the view was out of this world!
Food and service was much better than I expected. Yes, it was expensive. But I did feel the food and service was excellent. We will return.
Great sights, great food and a great time!! Their staff was friendly and very helpful. I will definitely go back!!!
Great food and atmosphere.
The place is great as well as the food. Too bad the revolving floor was not working bc that Is the cherry on top. Please fix it asap. We would love to come back to enjoy more of the view.
The food was great. Best meal I've had. One thing I was upset about was the seating. I did request a view of the west side so we could see the sunset, which didn't happen. But the view of the park was still great.
Great food ,excellent view of Atlanta.
Ann was one of the greatest waitresses we have ever had. She made us feel welcome and checked on us regularly! It was a great experience.
We were celebrating our 11 year Anniversary with 10 of our closest friends. The atmosphere was awesome and the service was great. The food was good but we were still hungry afterwards. Overall we had a blast and it will go down in memory lane.
Very disappointing evening.
The biggest attraction is the rotating deck and the panoramic view.
The deck has not worked in almost two years but the Resturant is not very forth coming in letting their guests know this.
Food was ok but not great. Certain not not worth the price they are asking.
Service level was good and very polite waiters and servers.
Will not revisit for some time to come.
Food was overpriced and dress code was not enforced.
I've eaten at the Sundial Room numerous times over the decades and always find it a great place to bring first-time visitors to Atlanta. The service was great and the food surprisingly good.
I was celebrating a special friend birthday and the experience was great. We really enjoyed the ambiance and the overall feel. I do wish the floor would have been turning but maybe next time because there will definitely be a next time.
We really liked the view which is the number one thing about the restaurant the food was good the price was high the service was fantastic
We went for the 4th of July and the food was horrible, especially considering the cost at $100 per adult drinks not included. The fireworks were beautiful but you paid for the view as all else was not good. They didn't allow you to reserve a seat and people were displaced everywhere.
4th of July event
Loved the service and the view. Absolutely amazing and worth the price. I had the roasted chicken breast and it was cooked to perfection! Definitely will be going back soon
Very nice environment. We got all dressed up but we saw that you guys cater to the tourists as I saw flip flops and shorts...which was nice and welcoming. The service was great and the food was phenomenal. We don't even have to mention how nice the view was!
This was a great experience, will definitely be back. We were celebrating my fiancé birthday, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The food was great, the view was breathtaking and the service was on point.
I don't really want to write a review, I just want to click on buttons and be done with the survey. I think that makes 50 words.
Traveling this summer with my 5 y.o. grandson to experience Atlanta.
We loved our dining experience at Sun Dial. Wonderful time, delicious
meal and dessert. The view was superb and we will definitely return
for another great vacation experience.!!!!
We went for Brunch. The food was amazing and serving portions were good for the price. The complimentary muffins were a nice touch and the views were spectacular. Definitely recommend!
Best view ever! Filet Steak was great! & other food great!
-waitress at dinner could have been more talkative but she was ok
-best view ever!!!
-booking procedure online easy!
Lived it overall !!!!
It was amazing! Exciting view, very nice ambiance!
The price is worth it if you are spinning around. Yall gotta get that fixed asap. That's the reason we come because of the spinning. You gotta fix it.
As everyone knows, since the incident last year the restaurant no longer spins. The view is tremendous, and the service very good, but without the "spinning" it is hard to justify the prices charged.
The food was good - fresh and nicely prepared, so you can't go wrong for a nice evening out.....just disappointing that one of the main attractions is "offline". Ambiance was nice, but probably because the restaurant was less than half-full.
The waitress has to be highly commended for her outstanding service and personal involvement with us. Her name was Ann and had worked at the restaurant for 33 years.
The service was very nice the receptionist was very helpful the view was amazing this spot is amazing for special occasions and romanyic nights
We were disappointed that the view to the south is the only view available for lunch. We were surprised when our bill reflected a charged of $2.00 per person for water. The food was better than average, but expensive. Our server was very pleasant, recommending the delicious bourbon pecan pie for dessert - which was the highlight of our meal.
Excellent service and ambiance.
