The Summit Grill - Lee's Summit Ratings and Reviews
It was my friend's first time there and the food was wonderful, it is alittle dark--hard to read the menu. Our waiter had the personality of the table, didn't communicate much and not too speedy. There were waiters and maybe a chef (?) sitting in some of the booths when I went in and there was no one at the front desk so I guided myself to find my friend. All my visits before
have been great and have had great camaraderie with servers so I guess it was an off-time for
him; it will not keep me from coming back.
The food and service was excellent. We have been there numerous times and the restaurant is very consistent. Generally I have the Prime Rib Dip, it is always tender and well seasoned. The talipia is always a good choice. The mashed potatoes are worthy of taking home.
This was our first time to have brunch here and I was dissappointed with a basic eggs, bacon and hash browns. Eggs were over cooked (did not eat), potatoes were mushy (only ate 2 bites) bacon was good. Biscuit and gravy was cold.
I would not recommend Brunch. However each time I have eaten here for lunch or dinner it was a very good.
Crowded, noisy, but food was very good. Even though I made a reservation through Open Table, we still waited about 20-25 minutes to be seated (but may have been because I requested a table rather than a booth). The food was worth the wait, though, a little pricey, but quite good. I would go again, maybe on a slower night.
We enjoy Summit Grill and eat here often! The food never disappoints! We love the pot roast nachos along with The street tacos and prime rib dip. The chicken fried chicken and Mac and cheese are delicious! Honestly you can’t go wrong!its fairly priced for the quality of the food!
We've come to Summit Grill many times. It's always consistent and a wonderful go to place for our family! This was a special occasion (my son's Birthday) but we come here for just regular dining as well. They have an amazing bar, happy hour and appetizers but the menu has a great selection and the food is always outstanding! The hardest thing is making a decision because they have so many awesome choices!
Food was sub par. Order two filets at different temps, both came out incorrectly. Steaks had no flavor, very bland. Instant potatoes with asparagus stems, not the tops, as sides. Weak drink list and appetizer menu. Overall, we agreed on Applebee's next time we consider this restaurant, as the quality and dinning experience are similar without the price.
We were traveling through the area and found this place on open table. Our meals were delicious. We had the grilled shrimp cocktail appetizer, the filet, the Kansas City strip and cremebrulle for dessert. Everything was good. If in the area again, we will be back.
We decided to try something new for our date night for our anniversary. A friend recommended Summit Grill and they did not disappoint. We got there a little bit before our reservations and we were seated immediately. The service was great and so was the food. We will definitely go back.
The food was excellent. The restaurant area was way too dark, could barely see the menu. I ordered 2 cocktails (Moscow mules), the 2nd cocktail was in a copper mug half the size as my first cockail, of course the price was the same. When we closed out our ticket it took over 25 minutes for our dinner waitress to bring change (which was for her gratuity as we paid with a gift card in full). Also we finished dinner & went out to the patio for a cocktail, there was no sign of our patio waitress (or any waitress) for over an hour after we ordered & received initial drinks. The food was good, atmosphere & service were disappointing.
The Prime Rib Dip has got to be the best sandwich in the greater Kansas City area. Service was outstanding and we were seated a few minutes before our reservation. Our reservation was for 7:15pm and the lights were turned down so low that everyone was using their cell phone to read the menu's!
My husband and I had a fun date night out with another couple. We really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The only negative I can even remotely think of is that it was almost too dark. It was hard to see the menus. And we're all in our late 20s. Lol
Also it took us forever to decide what we wanted because everything looked so good. The wait staff was very patient and knowledgeable.
Menu is varied, everything from salads and sandwiches to steaks and seafood. Reasonably priced for an upscale restaurant. The service was excellent, very attentive without being intrusive. The only downside for me was that it is very dark, but I'm an old man with old eyes.
