I have been to Summit Grill a few times and have enjoyed each of my visits. The food is delicious and the staff is excellent. The atmosphere is perfect for date night or a nice dinner with friends. The Mac and Cheese and Brunch bottomless mimosas are a must.
This is my favorite restaurant in Lee’s Summit possible in all of KC metro area. The food is always good and service is exceptional. One of the best!
Our first time and we really enjoyed it. Great food, waiter was awesome, nice atmosphere. Busy and a lot of people having fun.
Great service and the food was hot off the grill. No cold or mildly warm food here. Love it..
The only thing I would suggest is that you must ask for bread with your meal because they didn't offer it.
You will not go away from this place hungry. The portions are well worth the price.
Great meal, as always!
The food was great , but after my first drink when I got a refill it never tasted the same . Any drink I tried was watered down .
We had a 7pm reservation. We were at least 5 minutes early, and were told it would be a few minutes for us to get seated. 20 minutes later, we still weren’t seated. In the meantime, several parties came in after us and were seated immediately. There was also a party of over 20 people that seemed to be preoccupying the front of house staff, while several of us parties of 2 that had reservations were left waiting. Unacceptable. However, once we finally got seated, we were placed in the VIP bar area which is apparently for overflow. Not particularly romantic, but definitely quieter than the main restaurant and bar. I do want to send a thank you and kudos to the bartender Mark in that area-he completely turned the experience around for us and made sure we were very well taken care of. And the food was excellent (I had the filet, husband had chicken fried chicken, and we had carrot cake)-all we would definitely recommend. Bad experience with host staff, but Mark is wonderful!
We enjoyed our birthday celebration, but were told by our server that the manager would appreciate it if we vacated our table as soon as possible. They were about 30 minutes behind, I think he said on their reservations. Granted we had been there for 2 1/2 hours. Our food seemed to come at a relaxing pace so we didn’t feel rushed, and we were actually getting ready to leave anyway. Just never been asked to leave before.
I personally love Summit Grill, but tonight, the noise level was way too high to enjoy any conversation without multiple repeats.
Our food was amazing, as usual.
This is definitely a popular place but I might think twice about going back.
This is one of my favorite restaurants, I think they have the best hamburgers in town. We were there for Easter brunch and it did not disappoint. Delicious as always!
Loved our waiter - so fun and easy. Food came out so quickly that we hadn’t even finished our appetizer. Next time we’ll wait a bit to order.
They have the best blue cheese crusted ribeye around the metro Kansas City area! Andy only buys local meat and the best cuts. Absolutely outstanding every single time.
Everything was perfect, as usual.
Truly best place in Lee’s Summit!
Excellent prime rib and rib eye. Asparagus and potato croquettes were outstanding. Thought the prime rib special would be less than $31.00, more like $24.00. The Malbec was very good.
The Friday night special "Prime Rib" is one of the best I've ever had. I would highly recommend the Ahi Tuna as well as the Pork Belly Burnt End' s (One of the best pieces of barbecue I have ever tasted) appetizers.
We waited about 20 minutes even though we had a reservation. The food was really good. The service was so so. Our waiter liked to disappear. Drink glasses were frequently empty. We did get a free dessert as we were celebrating a birthday, but we certainly were not expecting a free dessert. If the waiter had been more attentive, the ratings would have been 5 star.
Always great appetizers, meals and desserts! One of our favorite restaurants.
Nice, cozy fireplace. Comfortable seating.
Atmosphere is a little dark. They could use a little more light in the individual booths in the evening.
This was our first and last time we will patronize Suumit Grill! Overall value was poor. We couldn’t tell you our servers name since he didn’t tell us! Entrees came out minutes after we were served our salads. Had to ask for our water to be refilled multiple times. The lighting was so poor that we had to use our flashlights to read the menu. Very disappointed with our experience.
We have eaten at Summit Grill many times, as a couple and with friends, but this was our worst visit ever. It was a Saturday night, but the restaurant side was not very busy. we started off with drink orders and the 2 glasses of wine were not correct. The server tried to convince me that the wine was correct but it was not even close. 2 new glasses and that was sorted out. One my food order, I had asked that the side vegetable be substituted out due to a food allergy. When the order came, the correct vegetable came out, but as I was eating the other vegetables were just under the rest of the food. Not good when you are dealing with a food allergy. I pointed this out to the server and her comment was "OK, so they messed up, what do you want me to do". That was the last time I saw her until it was time to pay the check. Normally Summit Grill is a great place to have a meal and meet with friends, but definitely not on this night.
Not impressed. Spent $180.00 on 3 adults and 2 children to eat on St.Patricks day for my wedding anniversary. 1st was appetizer. The crab dip was amazing but serving with a sealed .25 bag of chips at a cost of almost 20 bucks is a joke. Waitress was rare to see as see was covering 8 table and said she was only one on duty. We spilled a drink but was never offered any help. We had yo ask for some towels. We received one to clean the mess up with. The food was good. I doubt I will ever try again. When Mac n cheese is 30 bucks a plate with a few popcorn shrimp and small scallops in it. I think they can afford to hire more help to be staffed.
We started with the pot roast nachos. Lots of shredded roast, cheese, corn, black beans and red peppers over toasted chips. Really good. My chop salad was huge and also very good. I ordered a medium rib steak and it was perfect. The right pinkness, the right temperature and seasoning. I'm surprised at how noisy it is in the restaurant and also how dark it is, although it's sure not a complaint. We've always had excellent food here and that's exactly what we go here for.
Took 20 minutes to get limes for our water after asking three times. Took asking twice for chips. took forever to get meals. My husband asked for hamburger plain— nothing but meat and bun. We said just meat and bun three times. It came out with cheese on it. He was so hungr..
Another great experience at Summit Grill. My only, small issue this visit, was the server - she seemed to be a bit overwhelmed, forgot out drink orders and didn't have much of a table side manner in terms of conversing with us - but all was good.
Never disappointed when we go to Summit Grill!
I had purchased gift certificates at Xmas and that was a good value. I would like to see more plant based menu items since we aren't eating meat or dairy anymore it would make us come back more often if there were better options.
An open table reservation is worthless there. Do not expect to be seated when you arrive. I always have to wait 30 minutes on a Friday or Saturday night. Do not expect to be able to have a dinner conversation. Between the loud drunks at the bar and the loud drunks at the table next to us, the waiter could not hear us to take our order, and we could not hear each other, they even drowned out the crying babies. Although the food and service were good, I cannot say it was a pleasant dining experience, and I do not look forward to going back.
Waitress forgot drinks from bar to go with appetizer.
Happy Hour was so loud the dining area was not inviting
We've been to Summit Grill many times and the food is always delicious. Our server, Mark, was wonderful! We were celebrating our son's birthday and Mark remembered him from a few weeks prior when he was at Summit Grill on a first date. Mark even remembered where they were going after dinner! I strongly recommend asking for a table in Mark's section when booking your reservations.
Upon checking in we were told they were running about fifteen minutes behind- that is how long we waited and got a nice table for two. Waitress was right there and took our drink order, brought our drinks and took our food order. Food came in a timely manner and was excellent!
Food was average at best and overly priced. Got steaks...very disappointed
Great place to eat- Great tasting food - Fair price
Food was fantastic and the service was as well. There was an issue with the reservation, they didn't show we had one but luckily we were there early enough to still get a seat. Open Table doesn't always work.
We came for happy hour , but unless we sat in the bar area were not able to par-take. We were disappointed by that , but food was good.
We eat at Summit Grill a couple times a month. The food is very good and it is a great place to meet with friends.
Food and experience was great! Got to enjoy a great lunch with my sister and friend! The seating is nice and cozy and the bar was beautiful!
Food was great
Had a 7 pm reservation but wasn’t seated until almost 7:45 pm!
Our entrees came out less than 2-minutes after our appetizer!
Lees Summit Grille had a rough night. Disappointing.
Great service. Reservation was right one time. Great ribeye and salmon
This has been a longtime favorite of mine so we made a reservation for my birthday. We were put in what I was told is usually the group event room and were the only ones in there initially. We had our kids but had made an early reservation and the kids were well behaved. It felt like we were being hidden away (although it did fill up later) in a cold room with folding tables (I checked- literally a plastic folding table with a table cloth over it). Nothing against folding tables but not what I expect from a nicer place. The fish tacos are usually my favorite, but they were off. Kids had lemonade and it was super tart- not good. Kids meals come with ice cream and we had to remind waitress about it and she said “oh they want that?” I get it isn’t a place geared to families but there are lots of people who come with kids and it’s in the suburbs. I am hoping it was just an off night for food and service!
