The food was very slow probably due to being a Friday night. The food is fresh but the fries were dry and overcooked. Kids wouldn't eat them.
Burgers we had were ok.
Friends of ours liked the crab salad. It was so noisy and slow, so we wouldn't go again with kids. But I imagine it might be better for young couples, date night, etc.

Grilled cheese board was delicious. Great ambiance and food/ drink menu. Nestled on Fayette Street, a solid after work/ happy hour spot

Would've been outstanding but we had to ask twice for the wine list and were charged for a glass of wine that we didn't drink.

I met friends there because it was between our two homes. I would definitely return even though it was a bit of a drive.

My friend and I always order the braised short ribs with mac n cheese when we meet at Stella Rose for lunch and we try to do that once a month. We like the menu and the specials always sound delicious but we are really hooked on the short ribs. We both travel a distance but Stella Rose is a favorite with us.

Stone Rose was difficult to find. It was raining, dark and the sign on the building was not visible in such conditions.
Hit with sound when you walk in the door. Popular place. I asked the hostess if it was always this loud and she said yes. She was very nice and seated us in the back dining room which is a bit quieter than the bar area. Every surface in that establishment is hard so the sound just bounces everywhere.
It was Burger Week. Some interesting choices of burgers were offered - lamb, bison, elk, wild boar and duck served with Kennebec potato fries. Kennebec potatoes are nothing special just a good frying potato for chips or fries. We decided to upgrade from the regular Kennebec fries that come with the burger to the duck fat Kennebec potato fries. $3 up charge though ordering the duck fat fries ($9) over the regular fries ($7) as a side is only $2 more. Those duck fat fries were absolutely nothing special. Just plain ole fries. Save your money.
So $53 later I had eaten a wild boar burger (okay but never again), a small portion of fries, a hard cider and a cup of coffee. Seems like a lot of dough for a small nosh.
I can see it is a fun place for 20 somethings to meet, drink and snack. There were families with young children there and older groups too. I really don't see the appeal for them. Certainly not appealing to me. Enjoy 20 somethings.

Great service. Great food. Just way too noisy. Would totally go back, but maybe just with one other person because for a party of 6, even though we were in the back, it was really hard to carry on a conversation. Excellent quality and reasonably priced with a menu to appeal to many tastes.

Quick drink service at bar even with a packed restaurant. Great menu with options. Fantastic wine , liquor (bourbon, scotch, whiskey) lists. Dessert menu was extensive.
