Attended for our daughters Birthday, had dinner reservations for 6:45 and was great that Happy hour extended from 5-7. Our bar maid was even polite enough to bring our last two glasses of wine to our Table. My daughter enjoyed shorty ribs and mac, future son-in-law a duck burger with amazing fries, my wife enjoyed the caress salad to which she added salmon, myself scallops served on a bed of pureed parsnips. all which were very tasty. Although I was served only 3 scallops they were very large and perfectly finished. To top it all off we were served a tasty Lemoncello to finish off the evening....
Traveling from out of town and stumbled on this great place. Service was good. Food was good. Noise level increased as it for busy but was okay. Reminded me of neighborhood place on Chicago. Nice experience
OMG it was so loud we couldn’t talk to each other so we left after 10 minutes. Sorry 😩
Great experience. Great value. Service was professional but friendly. Great little bar with friendly bar staff. 2 servers told us the additions to the menu but they both told us a different soup (1 said tomato-basil and the other said potato)and both had a different version of the setup for the scallops and shrimp entree addition. One server said Couscous and the other said risotto. This was a minor flaw and it did not deter from our great experience. Good energy. Nice diversity with the menu. We will be back. Great job!
Enjoyed our menu options. Each dish was fabulous with sharing size appetizers. Definitely would recommend to others.
GREAT all around the board. service with a smile AND the food and beverage was DELICIOUS!! i loved the plate size option. WE will be back
The service was Horrible....waited 10 minutes for a server to greet us after the hostess sat us..had to track down the manager to take our first drink order after waiting a good 10 minutes.
The music choice was ok...but so loud we had to practically yell across the table.
The food was very good.
had lunch with an old friend here. It happened to be the 'grilled cheese special' day....creative and delicious grilled cheese options, all served with delicious tomato soup. I'd highly recommend this restaurant!
I went here with my wife for Valentines Day dinner. All food was excellent - Calamari Appetizer was great (every place does Calamari - but this was outstanding) and the Caprese Salad.
We had the Tuna (B+ it needed more seasoning) and the Halibut (A). Servce was Excellent for Apps and drink portion, slow a bit for entrees (busy Valentines eve).
Importantly - a very nice atmosphere, ample parking, and Great Food.
This would be my second visit here. My first experience was great but my visit in 2/14/18 was not as pleasurable. Food was not very good and came away very disappointed. We were not happy with either meal for myself or my wife.
Service was very friendly and timely, attentive without being too much. Easy to maintain conversations at your table without hearing everyone else's. Food tasted excellent!
The food was alright for the price. The service was great. Overall solid place for dinner.
The food was delicious and slightly different that your normal choices. Our waiter Michael was attentive and very charming. We will be back!
Host was very accomidating and completed our request of not sitting in the bar area. Service good and food great per usual.
Excellent food, quick and friendly service, everything you want in a dinner experience!
My husband and I went out for a date night. The food was amazing and our waiter Michael was fantastic. Would definitely go back again.
Amazing! One of my faves!! Great menu for Conshy Restaurant week!
Amazing short rib and mac n cheese!
The food was very slow probably due to being a Friday night. The food is fresh but the fries were dry and overcooked. Kids wouldn't eat them.
Burgers we had were ok.
Friends of ours liked the crab salad. It was so noisy and slow, so we wouldn't go again with kids. But I imagine it might be better for young couples, date night, etc.
Great food, friendly ambiance.
As usual StoneRose delivered! Such wonderful service and delicious menu!
Grilled cheese board was delicious. Great ambiance and food/ drink menu. Nestled on Fayette Street, a solid after work/ happy hour spot
Would've been outstanding but we had to ask twice for the wine list and were charged for a glass of wine that we didn't drink.
What a great lunch! Best turkey sandwich I’ve had an terrific burger. Top knotch!
I met friends there because it was between our two homes. I would definitely return even though it was a bit of a drive.
My friend and I always order the braised short ribs with mac n cheese when we meet at Stella Rose for lunch and we try to do that once a month. We like the menu and the specials always sound delicious but we are really hooked on the short ribs. We both travel a distance but Stella Rose is a favorite with us.
Great experience all around
It was good!
Great, sweet service!
Stone Rose was difficult to find. It was raining, dark and the sign on the building was not visible in such conditions.
Hit with sound when you walk in the door. Popular place. I asked the hostess if it was always this loud and she said yes. She was very nice and seated us in the back dining room which is a bit quieter than the bar area. Every surface in that establishment is hard so the sound just bounces everywhere.
It was Burger Week. Some interesting choices of burgers were offered - lamb, bison, elk, wild boar and duck served with Kennebec potato fries. Kennebec potatoes are nothing special just a good frying potato for chips or fries. We decided to upgrade from the regular Kennebec fries that come with the burger to the duck fat Kennebec potato fries. $3 up charge though ordering the duck fat fries ($9) over the regular fries ($7) as a side is only $2 more. Those duck fat fries were absolutely nothing special. Just plain ole fries. Save your money.
So $53 later I had eaten a wild boar burger (okay but never again), a small portion of fries, a hard cider and a cup of coffee. Seems like a lot of dough for a small nosh.
I can see it is a fun place for 20 somethings to meet, drink and snack. There were families with young children there and older groups too. I really don't see the appeal for them. Certainly not appealing to me. Enjoy 20 somethings.
Their special flat bread on Tuesday night was spot on! Honey truffle butter with figs.Amazing! Service was spot on from start to finish.
Great service. Great food. Just way too noisy. Would totally go back, but maybe just with one other person because for a party of 6, even though we were in the back, it was really hard to carry on a conversation. Excellent quality and reasonably priced with a menu to appeal to many tastes.
Quick drink service at bar even with a packed restaurant. Great menu with options. Fantastic wine , liquor (bourbon, scotch, whiskey) lists. Dessert menu was extensive.
My boyfriend and I love this place. It's right up the street from us and it never disappoints. The food is always fantastic. I live with a picky eater and he never has any complaints.
Delish! Great menu, drinks and service
Made a reservation, 1st problem was they wanted to put us at a high top which is not what I consider Comfortable restaurant seating . After stating it was not acceptable they did put us in the back Room which was extremely small next to the kitchen door . It was hot and loud . Waitress was nice bread was good although I had begged for more than one piece . Cocktails were not good . Appetizer I need soup tasted like there wasA cup of sugar in it . I've never had sweet onion soup . I didn't caprese salad was not a salad, no . Hard green tomatoes were inedible . Mazzarella was the only thing good . Ask for balsamic vinegar to try to do something with it and once againIt tasted like there was a cup of sugar in it . One of us had a Burger with what else but a sweet roll and the other meal was a shoe leather piece of steak On top of sweet potatoes and sweet sauce . The whole meal was rather revolting . I don't understand why the chef would put but so much sugar in everythngI would never go back.
The food and service were great. My only complaint is that the background music was too loud.
We could have stopped with the starters! Duck fat fries and short rib mac & cheese were amazing, but we added both the flatbread of the day and the spicy bacon flatbread. Every bite was scrumptious. Then we went onto entrees: Scallops were cooked perfectly. Tuna was prepared to a T. Even the go-to hamburger was top notch. As an added bonus, Monday night is half-price bottles of wine. We scored!
The Stone Rose is our favorite place to go! We love the food and the atmosphere and the ambiance. It's also a short walk from our place. I would love it if they brought back the crab cakes and made them a permanent menu item
