The StoneRose Restaurant
In addition to our lunch and dinner menus, we offer a beer list featuring the best local craft brews, Conshohocken's finest wine list and perfectly created cocktails.
My wife and I made reservations at The Stone Rose last week. The moment we walk in we were greeted by a very friendly young lady who took us to the perfect table by the window. From that point on, every one who waited on us to the food we ordered was perfect. Service is key to a successful restaurant and The Stone Rose has it down pat. Will be going back soon!
Terrific experience. We were seated right away. The waiter was friendly and attentive without being officious. Service was quick. The food was very good. There were three of us and we all had something different. We were all happy with our choices.
The ambience was perfect for our informal business meeting, attractive, not too loud.
I've been here many times and have always been pleased.
The hostess was very friendly and welcoming followed by our very lovely waitress. Well informed on the food and beer selections. All local.....love it!
StoneRose is officially on my list of go-to places in Montgomery County. We had an 8pm reservation on a Saturday night. When we arrived, we were seated immediately. Our table was the first one to the right in the bar area. It was a little noisey, but not to the point where we had to yell at each other. I wouldn't recommend it for a romantic date night, but if you want something more lowkey. There were two TVs above the bar with sporting events on.
Now, about the food. Apparently, the braised short ribs with mac and cheese is one of their staples. It's available as an appetizer or a main course. We ordered it for a starter to share. It was delicious. The short ribs were juicy and the mac and cheese was cheesy.
For the main course, I went with the pan seared king salmon which was placed on top of citrus mash, topped with ginger arugula pesto with avocado sauce on the side. The pesto was fairly strong, but I think it complimented all of the other flavors really well. The salmon was cooked to perfection. My wife ordered the seared scallops with bacon risotto and coconut cream sauce. The risotto tasted amazing in the coconut cream sauce and the bacon was subtle. The scallops were seared just right.
To end the night, we shared the fried pound cake with Nutella mascarpone cream and strawberries. They drizzle Nutella on the cake, but it was subtle in it's warm liquid drizzle form.
Overall, I really enjoyed the experience. Our server was really nice and knowledgabale and had great suggestions. I can see myself coming here and ordering a drink or two with a few appetizers to share next time.
A very noisy party was seated close to us, which made our otherwise delicious meal unbearable. This happens too many times in nice restaurants. Management should take control over boisterous people, giving them the option of shutting up or leaving.
Noise level in the dining room was off the charts and made it difficult to carry on a conversation.
From beginning to end Stone Rose served up delightful, inventive and delicious menu. Sarah took perfectly attentive care of us with great recommendations and courteous service. The duck wings were a cant miss!
Everything was great - for and service! It was a nice day so we dined outside. The calamari were amazing!
overall wonderful dining experience ! However, sitting near the bar was way to loud for us older folks.
Friends have been telling me about this spot for over a year, finally went this past Sat. Tremendous meal and great staff!
Way too noisy. Food is tasty but heavy.
Makes the best burger list
The place was great and the food and service was good. Only drawback was the noise level. It was very loud but still a great place. I will go back.
There were 2 of us for dinner at The StoneRose Restaurant on Saturday night. We got an early start on the evening and were fortunate to get seating via OpenTable. What an awesome time! The vibe was lively and inviting and the place was packed. Still, we were able to talk and easily hear each other without raising our voices. The drink menu provided many options, as did the dinner menu. On this particular visit neither of us was very hungry, so we opted to order a few appetizers. The short rib doughnuts were unbelievable--incredibly delicious. I think we could have kept eating them all night. But instead, we opted to split an order of the sweet potato gnocchi. Another home run. The flavor was rich and savory, the gnocchi was done to perfection, and the sauce was superb. Our server was fantastic. Seriously, not just good but fantastic. Funny, welcoming, accommodating, and attentive. The StoneRose Restaurant is a #1 hit and we highly recommend it.
Great location for brunch
Haven't had a meal there that didn't impress
Creative menu, excellent service and food!
Great food. Friendly, helpful staff.
Wonderful as usual! Changed it up a little and had the parsnip with bacon soup and the short rib grilled cheese. Both were delicious! Service was excellent! Will be going back for sure.
Go here for client dinners all the time. It’s perfect. Good food. Good service .
Neat little place that I would definitely visit again.
We were celebrating a friend's birthday. Everyone's meal was very good. Service was great. Parking on side street was very convenient.
Great service and amazing food. Love the ambiance as well. I always return!
Second time for us. Sat at table near front door. Felt chill every time door opened.
Food was very good but restaurant is loud and it was hard to drown out the noise.
Would return but make sure to sit further back. May be less nousy.
Food was excellent and so was the service. Best burger!
Food was excellent. Kevin was an exceptional server who made the evening extra fun!
Some of food was good but the truffle fries were soggy. The wine tasted as if it was open for several days. I have eaten here before and the food was great. Not sure if I will be returning.
Four of us had the pork chop special with bacon wrapped asparagus and mashed which was excellent - best chops I've had a in a long time, if ever - compliments to the chef on that dish. Thought the special was a little pricey, but was so good I quickly forgot about it... my wife had a salad and appetizer which she said was pretty good. The drinks were just okay - very small rocks glasses - so they were either very strong or just used smaller shots, not sure which, but they were just okay as I've had better recently at a variety of restaurants. Would be a great date place - service was excellent - server took great care of the us, couldn't ask for more than he gave and the manager stopped by to make sure we had a good time and recommended two other restaurants affiliated with StoneRose - overall had a very nice time and enjoyed the food and venue.
My wife and I had lovely evening here. The vibes, service and food were all amazing. My wife got the salmon and I got the flatbread special, both with mashed potatoes (which were probably the best mashed potatoes I've ever had and I'm very particular to its' texture and flavor). They had a great drink selection. I personally loved the dim lighting in the evening, as well as the colors and tasteful artwork displayed.
The food was so good! This spot isn’t romantic but it is cozy! Can’t wait to go back!
The menu was creative and had something for everyone. Each course was prepared and presented well.
Waitress was super nice but I had made the reservation a few days in advance with a seating request that they couldnt honor when we got there. Food was ok but cannot recommend the sweet potato gnocchi.
Everything was great from the food to the attentive service and the drinks. Only bummer was a table of 8 sitting next to us that were so loud it was not possible to hear my daughters. I dont understand why people feel the need to talk so loudly in a public place.
Excellent neighborhood restaurant feel and upscale gastropub fare. Must try the short rib doughnuts; fantastic and unlikely to be found elsewhere!
One of my fave spots. Food is always great and love the ambiance.
Hugely disappointed. Given the price we expected the food to be good - there were zero vegetarian options although they did manage to make the gnocchi and remove the meat. It was awful though, very chewy, could not finish it. My husband had the macaroni and beef and was sick the next day. Friendly staff but overpriced and food terrible, will not be going back.
Have been to Stone Rose before and enjoyed it better last time. I wasn’t thrilled with the steak this time. Nothing wrong with it but didn’t really find it appealing. Service was good, very attentive and pleasant. I just felt for what I spent I would have been more satisfied. The fried pound cake and the cheese board was very enjoyable. I would just go with something other than the steak next time.
Haven’t been here in a few years. Disappointed in the food, not what I remember, but will definitely give it another chance as it’s been great in the past.
The hostess and server were so helpful. They were warm and welcoming. The food was amazing. Will definitely be back to try more menu items.
Patrons were very loud
Excellent food. An unexpected surprise. Highly recommend
We were there on a Saturday night. The food was great and the service was good. We sat on a high top in the bar. It was so noisy it was hard to hear my friends.
