Fathers Day Dinner
we had 4 different entrees, all of which were absolutely delicious.
Our server was very pleasant and helpful in making our dinner choices.
The only down side is that the restaurant is small and can get a bit noisy.
Nonetheless I would highly recommend this restaurant for its cuisine and service.
Great meal! (& delicious sparking Sauvignon Blanc!!) will return many times!
We had a great meal! Cheese board was a fun app for the table to share. There’s so much originality and creativity but in a subtle way: citrus mash for example was like nothing we’d ever tasted. Also fried pound cake dessert was amazing. Will definitely be back and soon.
Always delicious, great service, great drinks.
First date. Knocked it out of the park. Thanks for the assist!
I went for brunch with my girlfriends. We had the most wonderful time. The food was AMAZING, our waitstaff was wonderful and friendly, and the restaurant was that perfect mix of cozy and professional, of noisy but not robust, and we can't wait to go back!
I’ve eaten lunch here a few times and enjoyed it. Our dinner this week with out of town guests was a huge disappointment. It’s a shame because the food was wonderful. It was extremely loud and service was mediocre. We won’t be returning.
My wife and I went to the Stone Rose for our anniversary and we weren't disappointed! The Food...what can I say, the food was outragiously good!I wnet to the restaurant wanting the salmon meal and our waitress, who was so kind and helpful, recommended the special of the day instead and she couldn't have been more right. It was a clam pasta with cream sauce with a generous size grouper fish on top. The cream sauce had some diced veggie in it but together mad a unique and amazing taste. My wife ordered the seared scallops. She let me try one any were very good. The taste was great and they were so fluffy. I also want to mention their calamari appetizer that we had. It was done in a unique hot sauce that I have never had but it totally worked. The prices were completely reasonable. I haven't written many reviews in my life but i felt I had to for the Stone Rose. It really did surpass all of our expectaions and I recommend it to all!
Very good food ....great service....great bar tender and beer selection...servers were patient with us even when we changed our table time
We had a very good experience and the food was great. Dining room is loud depending on who is in the room!! The service was very good. Scallops, short ribs and crab salad — all really fantastic.
We had a lovely evening - the service was excellent, the drinks refreshing, and the food delicious! The seating outside was perfect until a couple with a dog was seated next to us. It won't deter our return!
Great server and great service; Fantastic food. Good menu selection; a little noisy, but not too bad. overall phenomenal
parm truffle fries were amazing. quiet Sunday night dinner was very enjoyable.
Delicious dinner - lobster pasta and short ribs were great. Star was the short rib donuts. Great waitress!
Food was delicious! Flatbreads, gnocchi, risotto - everything we ordered was great. Sat in the back room, which was nice and quiet - perfect for catching up over dinner!
A little too warm to eat outside but it is available. Seated in the back by request, away from the energy of the bar. Service? We waited for a guest who did not show but never felt rushed when we finally ordered 1/2 hour later. No dessert but shared calamari and both of our dinners were very good. Oh, and easy parking on Fayette Street!
We are outside and although we had a late reservation, we did not feel rushed. Fran, our waitress was exceptional. Personable and professional, and very knowledgable.
Having never dinex here before, she explained the menu and offered suggestions. The bucatini pasta with lobster was fabulous. Will definitely be back!
Pleasantly surprised! The service was great. Interesting dishes on the menu and as specials. I had the Bucatini with Lobster which was excellent. Friends had the signature dish of Short Ribs and Mac and Cheese which they thoroughly enjoyed. Definitely recommend! I will go back.
Excellent brewpub with great food, interesting cocktails and beer/wine choices, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and an energetic and cozy setting. Wish there was something like this closer to where I live, I'd be there every week.
tomato basil soup good, fish tacos luke warm. Nothing to write home about.
Outside dining with my friend and my dog what could be better.
Ladies lunch. Food very good. Noise level was way high. Could hardly hear. Needs some carpet or something to diffuse noise. We have met there before for lunch but yesterday was crazy noisy
It was noisy, but probably only because of a loud group seated nearby. The food was great. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We'd go back for lunch in a heartbeat.
As always the service was excellent, the food was great and the staff attentive. We love the vibe and the food, even our teenage kids like it.
Two young women sat next to us. Because they ordered more expensive items like Salmon and Tuna, they received more attention. Our waiter barely had any time for us. My wife has to stand up and yell for his attention, while coming over to the table next to us every 5 minutes.
Really disappointed in the hamburgers. Both were over-cooked and were too salty. Left a bad aftertaste. Asked for duck fat fries and received house fries. Butter for the bread was hard as a rock. The bottle of beer at least was good. I read some great reviews on this place and we were very disappointed.
Food was good, not great. The service was incredibly slow. The black cherry mojito was mostly club soda.
Loved it! It was our first time. We had only seen a menu online. Loved the location- plenty of parking on the side streets. Love the outdoor seating area, high tops in front of big open windows and bar area. Sat in the back. It got a little loud, but that didn't take away from the great food and service. Had the cheese board, tuna and the pork chop. All were great. Great selection of wines by the glass as well, including one we don't see often by the glass but we love- Carmenere. Our server Tyler was professional and helpful. We'll be back. This is a gem!!
Duck burger was interesting to try once.
The server was smiley and sweet.
Cheese board and Cesar salad were phenomenal!
Fantastic as always! Sara was an awesome server.
Everything was great but the short rib toast was bonkers good!
This was our second visit to The Stone Rose Restaurant. And probably one of many return visits to come. Some of the appetizers and entrees are not typical fare, and this makes it interesting. The tuna was a touch salty, but everything else the 4 of us ordered was very good.
Nice wine and beer selection as well as selection of bourbons and other whiskeys.
The dining room in the rear of the restaurant is quiet. So, it's a good place to request a table if you're looking to have conversation.
We took my daughter to dinner for her birthday. All of the food we ordered was very good. Our server was very attentive. The only thing about this restaurant is that it is loud which did not bother our group but if you wanted an intimate setting this would not work for you.
Nice surprise. Good food. I really enjoyed the pork chop. Our friend ordered the tuna, which he really liked. My wife thought the scallops were OK. Front section is bar/bistro. Back section is dining room that was too loud for easy conversation.
The french onion soup was the highlight of our meal., plus Oor waiter provided excellent service. The restaurant is very small which did not bother me at all but you need to check before rising from your table so that you do not bump into someone carrying food or drinks although we were at a table in the walkway. I had very high expectations for our dinner which was probably why I wasn't as satisfied as I had hoped. My dinner partner's short ribs were a little on the dry side although flavorful; my seared scallops needed to be seared a little longer as I like them a little brown and too much lemon was used on them. We are new to dining in this area and feel that we would probably try a different restaurant next time rather than return to this one.
Very cute and hidden neighborhood gem. The food was excellent and the staff was very professional.
Good spot for quiet lunch. Food and service were good.
Attended for our daughters Birthday, had dinner reservations for 6:45 and was great that Happy hour extended from 5-7. Our bar maid was even polite enough to bring our last two glasses of wine to our Table. My daughter enjoyed shorty ribs and mac, future son-in-law a duck burger with amazing fries, my wife enjoyed the caress salad to which she added salmon, myself scallops served on a bed of pureed parsnips. all which were very tasty. Although I was served only 3 scallops they were very large and perfectly finished. To top it all off we were served a tasty Lemoncello to finish off the evening....
Traveling from out of town and stumbled on this great place. Service was good. Food was good. Noise level increased as it for busy but was okay. Reminded me of neighborhood place on Chicago. Nice experience
