Nestling on the border of the South Downs National Park, opposite the spectacular grounds of Petworth House, The Stonemasons Inn dates back to 1630 and offers offers a unique yet relaxed experience of top quality dining in a beautiful rustic Olde-English setting complete with three Inglenook fireplaces.
The classically trained, highly skilled chefs are passionate about fresh, organic British produce. Head Chef James Bicknell (Sous Chef for Marco Pierre White for over four years) has worked in many Rosette-awarded restaurants and now brings his wealth of experience to Petworth. He is unrelenting in his endeavour to produce tasty, beautiful food, described as a mix of classic British & French cuisine with a modern twist.
The Stonemasons Inn holds the Cask Marque Excellence Award for it"s cask ales and is also featured in the CAMRA best Beer Guide.

The staff were all very friendly and the service excellent. The food was lovely and presented well. We enjoyed our overnight stay.
