The restaurant is intimate but not crowded, furnished with dark-wood tables, and pale, wood-trimmed walls. We were greeted graciously the moment we entered. My friend and I shared three small plates and one entree between us. The small plates we had included the roasted marrow bone which was subtle and delicious, the Alaskan spot prawns with pasta and mushroom which was a savory delight, and a small salad. For the entree, we enjoyed the King Salmon. Split between the two of us, this was a well-proportioned meal and also a satisfying way to sample a broad swath of an eclectic and intriguing menu. All in all it was a terrific experience and I will be recommending it to friends. I also hope to return again sometime soon.

Don't let the road construction keep you away. This is a great little bistro in the heart of Redmond--especially when you want something a little more quiet, a little more intimate. Staff is always friendly.

Good wine choices and even greater menu options - even the vegetarian person in the group was super happy with 'customized' main course. Italian donuts were amazing too :).

I finally tried the Stonehouse after 3 years in Redmond and was pleasantly surprised. I had the beet salad, crab pasta and pork belly starters. My husband had the halibut cheeks and salmon. Everything was good - most notable, the pork belly, which melted in your mouth, and the broth in the halibut dish. Some things could have used more seasoning, but, overall, I enjoyed my meal and really appreciated the quality of ingredients. Usually, if I want to satisfy my foodie craving, I drive back to Seattle. Now, I don't have to, as often. My only complaint was the apple tart. It was served chilled, intentionally, which I found odd. Dough and apples were undercooked. Would have preferred warm or at least room temp.
