The Stone Cellar
We have never had a bad meal here and this last time was no exception. The rack of lamb was outstanding as was my “bone in” pork chop.
The raspberry- chocolate cheesecake was also very good.
The two glasses of champagne - on the house - to help celebrate our anniversary was a very nice and unexpected touch.
We will definitely be back and a hearty recommendation to anyone who is looking for a superior dining experience in Perth.
Soup was not hot enough.
Sweet potato fries not hot at all.
Bison burger was barely hot enough.
Service was slow.
Almost as if my lunch sat in the kitchen for 10 minutes before serving.
Exceptional food and great atmosphere. I will be recommending it to all my friends!
This was our 2nd time at the Stone Cellar... as this is now our favourite place to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
From the ambiance, the service and the food...all was absolutely fabulous.
Highly recommend this restaurant for any special outing..
Christine & James
Took my parents there for my mum’s birthday, it was excellent.
Excellent service!! Pleasant place to lunch. Good variety..
It was excellent in every way! The server was professional, the food "very delicious", the atmosphere inviting and the decor attractive, clean environment.
We were a party of four celebrating several important occasions, so we chose Stone Cellar due to recommendations from others. Let me say that we were very impressed with everything. From the welcoming and friendly greeting, to ensuring that the special table we had requested was ready for us, to the efficient, discrete and pleasant service, to the quality of the food and wine, to the perfect sequencing of serving the four courses, to the fabulous presentation of the plated dishes, to the incredible quality of the food, to the ambiance and especially the noise level (we could actually talk to each other!), it was, without a doubt, the finest meal experience that we four have shared...ever! Being in the military (some still active and one retired), we have travelled extensively and experienced many cultures and foods (even a Michelin 3 star restaurant in France many years ago) - but the Stone Cellar was for us, perfect!!
Valentine's Day dinner was fabulous. Duck a l'orange was absolutely superb; we'll be returning soon to have it again. Service was excellent; our special requests were accommodated with a smile.
Everything about our meal was perfect....from the Duck and Filet to the mashed potatoes and veggies. Proportions were spot on and we even had room to share an amazing white chocolate raspberry cheesecake. Thank you for an exceptional Valentine's dinner in a wonderful atmosphere! We will be back.
Great service & Awesome food! Loved the warm fireplace!
Went for lunch and food was amazing!
Celebrated our anniversary, really loved the food and service.
Excellent restaurant, friendly knowledgeable service, great food, and we were happy to pay more than we usually spend on a good meal
We visited on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of our 1st date. The restaurant was nicely decorated for Christmas, and cozy with the fireplace going. The food was very good. There was a good selection of wine and dessert. Service was excellent.
An excellent meal and service.
Our server was professional, well informed and the food was delicious.
We would definitely recommend The Stone Cellar to others!
Severely disappointed in the service, reservation for 7pm, arrived on time, waited at door for 15 minutes, was asked to the wait at the bar for 30 minutes (where they couldn't make any cocktails we requested). Then once seated, our order wasn't taken until 8:15pm, appetizers came out at 8:45pm, and entree served at 9:30pm. There were only 2 servers with a full restaurant and a party of 10-15ppl upstairs, which is simply not enough and it negatively effected our experience.
Felt the food was overpriced for the value. Not enough options for the side (i.e. only mashed potato, sweet potato fries, or rice). Veggies were too overcooked, burger was too plain.
I like this restaurant, though it is expensive. I would like more fish choices. Last month I needed a steak knife to cut the carrots, they are too hard and not hot. Dessert choices only pies or cheese cake, no other cakes or creme caramel etc
A very nice evening. Two large groups at the restaurant. I would not go to this restaurant if time were an issue. The food was the same quality as always, very good. The staff was friendly and did a great job meeting everyone’s needs. I have eaten at Stone Cellar several times and enjoy the food and service. I’ve eaten on the patio once and really enjoyed the lunch .
It was amazing - they stayed open just for us as we were the only customers that day! The food was incredible and cooked to perfection - the service was great and the atmosphere magical- just wished we lived closer I would be here A LOT! Thank you for being such wonderful people - you cd have called and cancelled us but you stayed open and this says so much about this place and the owners than just the food!! Quality place !!!
Our meal was excellent and service was fair. Make a reservation as it was very busy for a Monday and the tables are close together. The menu had a lot of fine selections.
Our food was just ok. My wife’s meatloaf was too mealy. My duck a l’orange tasted like some one had deep fried a duck leg and then threw some sauce on it.
Service was good and the restaurant has a nice ambiance.
We had an amazing experience and were certainly treated well for our anniversary dinner. Our server made our evening feel special and the food was delicious. We will definitely dine at The Stone Cellar the next time we visit Perth.
Everything was very good except the rib eye steak was very tough.
It had been a few years since we were last to the Stone Cellar for a meal. Thought we would give it another try to see if it had regained some of appeal that was present when we first began to go regularly. Staff was very friendly, which was a plus. Noise level was better, with music at a sufficient level to drown out other conversations. Food was good but vegetables with main course had been barely cooked which took away the quality of the meal. Told server who thanked us and said she would tell kitchen staff. Other course was very nice. So all in all we would say a 6 of 10 score here. Won't be rushing back but if in area would consider another meal. Oh and yes table location near front door got a blast of cold air every time door was opened.
Really enjoyed out meal. Simple, but delicious! We brought our 2 year old daughter and the staff were great to help us keep her busy when she wasn't eating!
very good overall - Food - tasty appetizers, delicious main course (salmon) and all very well presented. The desert was an excellent berry pie with home made ice cream!
atmosphere - nice to see a good restaurant with linen napkins, tablecloths and all very clean and well presented - even had fresh flowers on the table!
staff - very knowlegable, efficient and friendly.
Overall a great experience and would highly recommend.
This was our second time going to the Stone Cellar. We went there for our first year anniversary and a little disappointed that they don't do anything for special occasions. We also picked this restaurant because of their venison tenderloin and where extremely disappointed that it was not available.
My husband got the rib eye which was cooked perfectly, I went with the chicken torpedo and found it was a little bit rubbery but the flavors where good.
The food was very nicely presented and tasty. The service was good, even though our waitress forgot to tell us that there was a special: it can be excused given the overflow of patrons due to the tornado that hit the region. It was very busy, to the point where the chef had to come out of the kitchen and help around the tables. The place was noisy, but again, this was largely due to the number of patrons. It is a well-decorated place. Expect to pay around $100 for a meal for 2 with appetizers and entrees, wine would be extra cost beyond that.
Arrived at 620 and did not get food until 750. Two young kids for birthday celebration. Food was not hot and too late in coming.
We were disappointed. Meal was nearly $400 and less than acceptable
Our table was ready when we arrived, Our server was both friendly and professional, the service was outstanding. The event was my girlfriends birthday and the setting was perfect, quite romantic. The food was good and we both enjoyed our meal. I would definitely recommend The Stone Cellar and we will absolutely be returning.
The only issue was that there was a wedding at the event place behind and they were very loud, not the fault of the restaurant. The other piece that I thought would have been nice is a oackage with the community theatre.
Wonderful anniversary dinner with fantastic service, perfect presented portions, romantic setting, and reasonably priced bill. Will definitely be back
Good food and service. Overpriced wines. Decor a bit outdated and tacky for a place charging $35-$45 per entree.
The food was good. The service was excellent. The servers were a treat to look at.
Some of the serving staff were not very friendly to the customers!
Food was excellent. Chef was able to modify the daily special to accommodate the needs of one of the guests in the party and it was, according to the guest, fantastic. Service was friendly and efficient. When you are in Perth this is definitely a place to have dinner either after or before attending a theatre performance or for any special occasion.
Always have a good meal. Have never been disappointed. One of Perth’s finer restaurants
Great service and nice ambiance
