The Stephanie Inn Dining Room
My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Stephanie Inn Dining Room. The food was beautifully prepared, the service was warm and friendly and the wine pairing were spot on. I would heartily recommend this restaurant as a go to while in Cannon Beach.
The menu is limited but that way they can make what they offer really well.
Thought ambiance music could have been more jazzy less formal
Always a very special experience. We reserve our visits to Stephanie Inn for very special occasions because it is pricey, but also super special in every way.
Great experience! Food selection & presentation was lovely, wine options were excellent! We participated in the four course prix fixe offering which was outstanding. All-around great experience. Thank you!!
Excellent atmosphere, service, nice and quiet place for dining. The food was amazing! Scallops appetizer and sole stuffed with crab meat was some of the best. Highly recommended.
My husband and I had a lovely dinner at the Stephanie Inn. Our food (Rack of Lamb for him, Salmon for me) was delicious. We opted for the prix-fix 5 course dinner, which gave us nice choices to individualize our meals. Very beautiful setting - service was exemplary.
The Stephanie Inn restaurant was excellent! The dinner was divine, the ambiance was great for our anniversary, the waiter was knowledgeable and loves his job. He truly added to the experience!! The breakfasts are also wonderful. They took comfort foods and added their own flair. Will definitely be back!
We have celebrated special occasions here many times and it never fails to amaze. Great food and awesome service. A 'must-go' at the coast.
Very elegant and we felt well cared for
Gorgeous atmosphere, lovely staff and overall, an amazingly memorable experience.
The squash soup was amazing. Lamb chops and veggies done to perfection
Perfect restaurant that’s part of the Stephanie Inn. You don’t need to be a guest to dine there, but I recommend it as it saves you from having to drive after a fantastic meal. From start to finish the meal was perfect. Locally sourced and prepared to perfection, the meals beloved and I had were well prepared. Local scallops were a treat! Five stars plus!
Absolutely wonderful dinner, as usual. We eat here every time we go to Cannon Beach and are never disappointed. It is very expensive but the food and service are always outstanding.
A small, intimate, romantic and cozy restaurant. We ordered the 5 course meal. I got the filet mignon and my husband ordered the elk. His elk was every bit as tender as my filet and so flavorful! Highly recommend the elk. A wonderful restaurant for a special occasion. And service was great.
Simply outstanding....from food to atmosphere to service of all at the Inn not just wait staff. One of my better experiences ever, and I've been fortunate enough to visit some tremendous places.
Our server, Peter, was outstanding. Everything exceeded expectations and the chef was kind enough to save a previous nights entree for me. Highly recommended as a “must do” when visiting Cannon Beach.
We went to the Stephanie Inn almost two years ago using a gift card given to my husband, and found that it was pretty expensive with small portions. We had a fair amount left on the gift card now, so went back over for our anniversary recently simply to use it up, and found that my previous review still held true: expensive and small amounts. The salads had gone up to $18.00 from $15.00 and were still the size of a small side dinner salad like what we've had at restaurants in Portland. The ling cod with the outer crust was absolutely delicious, however! It was a bit funny to us as we noticed that my portion of fish was noticeably smaller than my hsuband's, and I think that for $46.00 for each entree, they could have both been a bit larger! We asked for two pieces of their very good bread as we remembered that last time, we left hungry! If you plan to eat here, just know that you will be paying a lot for small meals and salads.
Nice quiet dinner. Wish it faced the water for a better view. Overpriced in my mind for what you get but good for a special occasion. Staff is friendly and attentive which is important. Liked the wine pairing suggestions with entrees.
I was really excited and book a table at Stephanie's to treat my Mom on Mother's Day, but walked away feeling the value for the money was very poor. I had incorrectly assumed that there would be a view of the Ocean. Instead, the dining room overlooks the parking lot, which was a huge disappointment. We decided to order the fixed price multiple courses, and I ordered steak medium-well. The steak came and was super well done, which they were happy to redo however then my Mom was eating her main course while I sat there and waited 10 minutes for the steak. Dessert was tasty. The bill came and it cost me a couple hundred dollars to look at the parking lot and for my Mom and I to eat our main courses separately. I would definitely recommend finding another place for fine dining in the area.
Expected this restaurant to have a view of the ocean as the hotel is on the ocean, especially based on the prices. Instead it overlooked the parking lot. Food was great but a big disappointment on the view and the look and feel was somewhat outdated.
The Stephanie is our favorite restaurant for special occasions! It never disappoints, and our most recent dining experience was truly exceptional! The food was gorgeous and magnificently prepared! Service was wonderful! Highly recommend!
Amazing experience!!! Delicious food!!!! We loved our time at the Inn and especially our beautiful 5 course dinner!!!
Dinner prices are too high; small plates and entrees were good, but not extraordinary. Lack of imagination in sauces, and sides. Better value at the Wayfarer.
The food was excellent and our service was impeccable. Christa took great care of us and was able to provide us with Huckleberry Pinot sorbet (special request) for dessert. The sorbet was offered as a palate cleanser between courses and it was so delicious we requested it for dessert.
My husband and I were seated immediately. Seating was comfortable and there was ample space between tables so we did not feel crowded or feel the need to whisper during conversation. My husband and I were celebrating our recent retirement. We enjoyed every moment and every bite of our dining experience. We will be returning soon and will definitely recommend Stephanie's to our friends and family.
This is a small, intimate dining arrangement. The wait staff are very helpful and enhance the dining experience.
We ate breakfast and dinners here. The breakfast is included as a guest amenity. Delicious food, excellent service. Do note that the dining room does not face the beach, so time your reservations accordingly if you want to see the sunset over the water. Our second night at the hotel, we ordered our dinner delivered to our room. Fantastic!
We have eaten here several years in a row for my birthday. We love it every-time! Exquisite service & the food it fresh and high end. The desserts are to die for! We get the 5 course meal & it’s filling. My steak is always so tender and flavorful. Cooked perfect. For a even better treat, stay the night in the resort & enjoy free wine hour at 4:30 & night cap at 9p plus a fresh gourmet breakfast. Money well spent for proper pampering with that someone special. I don’t mind if the restaurant faces the parking lot..you still can enjoy the view after dinner. There’s nothing much in CB that offers a high end, intimate, elegant dining experience as Stephanie’s
The Stephanie Inn Dining Room is one of our favorite restaurants. We always try to eat here when visiting Cannon Beach. It is very expensive, but the food is always exquisite and extremely fresh. Oh, and the service?-- amazing. The night we were there, they weren't terribly busy at the time we were eating at 5:30, so they had wait staff/servers galore -- I think one server per one to two tables. Our server was extremely friendly and attentive and, from what I could observe, so were the others. My husband and I decided to share plates as we had attended the wine tasting event that afternoon and each event had food, so, we weren't terribly hungry. (Poor planning on our part.) They split our salad and entree and gave us two separate plates for each course, complete with beautiful presentation. They did charge us an extra $5 for the entre split as they gave each of us a full complement of sides (which included squash slices, spaetzle, and fiddleheads that are the unfurled new leaves of a fern.) We had the sturgeon, and we each got a nice-sized portion that was so, so delicious. Oh, and, of course, we had to have some of their homemade rosemary bread - heavenly! All in all, a lovely, lovely dinner.
From start to finish, we were ushered into a lovely evening. We were warmly greeted upon our Walt arrival, and graciously accommodated. Service was stellar. The full course meal fabulous. A hidden gem on the Oregon Coast!
Excellent service, fabulous food. Expensive but worth it for a special occasion. They were more than happy to make recommendations based on my dietary restrictions. Everything was delicious! We wanted a quiet (classical music plays quietly in the background), romantic, leisurely paced dinner and they made us feel like we were the only diners in the restaurant. A+ experience.
Everything was far above the norm. Our server was superior. Thanks to all the staff. Great 48th anniversary.
We only stayed one night but wish we could’ve stayed longer. The dining experience, food and service, is excellent! The entire staff is extremely accommodating and go above and beyond to ensure we were well taken care of during our stay. Thank you for blessing us with a weekend to remember!
The service and food are amazing. Everything we ate was wonderful. The price is still hard to swallow though but I don't mind splurging for a special occasion. The service was exceptional! We were the last reservation and we never felt rushed or anything less than catered to. My sister and I had a wonderful time....thank you to the staff and cook for making it another memorable experience!!
We celebrated my husband's birthday here. Everything was lovely. We enjoyed the chef's menu at $79 each. Definitely a splurge but thoroughly appreciated.
Second time here. Very quiet, almost private dining. Food quality and service were high but so are the prices. $9 for bottled beer, New York steak $50, Halibut was $45. So I rate value as fair.
Excellent food, atmosphere and service made for a special evening. Will defiantly be back when ever we are in the area
Entrance into the dining room is somewhat undefined and visually awkward. Unfortunately the restaurant overlooks the asphalt parking lot and not the beach. What was the architect thinking? The staff are wonderful, very gracious and hospitable and well versed in the menu offerings. The food tasting while correctly prepared is somewhat lackluster in flavor. Not many options in Cannon Beach but worth a try here.
In spite of the reviews we chose Stephanie Inn for our anniversary dinner. Not a lot of selection on the menu. We both ordered fish and my husband complained that the fish wasn't cooked enough. I had the crab cakes - very good, but nothing special. Restaurant overlooked the parking lot. $15 for a glass of wine was a bit much. Service was very good. We would not go back.
We enjoyed a fabulous meal in celebration of an anniversary! Highly recommended for very fine food and wine and for the relaxed, elegant and romantic setting. Service was gracious and timing perfect! We have dined at the Stephanie Inn for many special occasions! Always wonderful!
