Took an hour to get in and get food despite having a reservation. Steak almost raw and loaded with fat. Fish and wild rice dripping with butter. A healthy choice made unhealthy.
Amazing...Will be back next in June for that amazing Prime Rib....
Superior food; as always, excellent service (Julie); highly recommend The Steakhouse to anyone who likes a respite from the excellent gambling at Bronco Billys.
Sandy always gives us friendly, excellent service. Food was very goopd.
The best ever--food was great and service was wonderful.
Friendly service and hosts would highly recommended a great dinner
Had the Prime Rib. Tender and juicy. Will definitely return visit.
The SteakHouse is rapidly becoming a way over priced poorly run restaurant. The quality of the food is going down hill along with service. They can not get the orders right on the simplest of requests. Asking for balsamic vinegarette dressing comes out as oil and vinegar. If the server is not sure what you are requesting they should ask. The vegetable of the day is the same one from the previous week. Why not change it up? Did they over buy and not want to use a different vegetable? These might seem like small issues but over the number of years my wife and I have eaten here they are getting to be the new normal, not the exception. When the price of the food has risen anywhere from $10 to $30 an entree over the last two years it is time to look elsewhere.
I ordered shrimp, it was so greasy I couldn’t eat it and it was practically raw. We were not told what the vegetable was, it was carrots and they were shriveled up and had horrible seasoning on them, I couldn’t eat them, my husband got sick eating his and ate Tums the whole way home. Portions were very small and certainly not worth the money we paid to celebrate my birthday. This was to be a special day with a special meal and what a disappointment!
The food was delicious as always. My wife and I finally learned to share a meal. We had the bone-in ribeye Oscar style. Also had table side guacamole and shrimp cocktail. Everything tasted great and the service was awesome.
I've always had great food and service here. This time, my boyfriend's New York Strip was not cooked correctly though. It was supposed to be Medium Rare and came out very uneven with rare spots and well done spots. My steak was perfect and amazing.
Absolutely! Food is outstanding - so is the service! I eat there often and have never been disappointed.
The Steakhouse has steadily gone down hill. Service is poor, food is poor to fair and value is very poor. They have raised the prices on their menu and eliminated many popular dishes. Since the sale of Bronco Billy's a few years ago the whole place has gone down hill. Less help, higher prices, poor quality food and very poor service. The Steakhouse used to be a place that my wife and I liked to take people to. Now I would not take anyone that wanted a good meal at a reasonable price.
The quality of the food ,particularly the meat has drastically reduced in the last 6 months or so. Better cuts of meat are available in the local diners for much less. Really sad considering this used to be the best place in town to eat.
The Filet steaks used to be so tender you could cut them with a fork. Today that's not the case. They are not what you would expect for the price. Everything else is great.
Outstanding! We had a wonderful time! Food was outstanding! We will always choose and recommend the Steakhouse to everybody!
Ribs too done , vegetable burnt, would of been embarrassed to serve this food in what they consider “fine dining”..
We LOVE the Steakhouse! And have recommended it to lots of friends! It is a long way to go for us but worth the trip. We go as often as we can and spend the night!
This Restaurant has gone downhill since the new management has taken over. The seafood is abysmal, the lobster that was ordered was dried out, also ordered the crab legs, which you can tell were not fresh, they were also dried out and cold. The italian sausage was as hard as a stick. The Garlic mashed, which you could tell were a mix of pieces of real potatoes and instant, were soupy... overall the past few experiences here have been very poor. I am very disappointed in this place now. It used to be the place to go to in cripple creek, but now i cannot recommend going there. The cafe downstairs is a better choice. Sad.
One of the best lobster tails I ever had,but the brussel sprouts were almost burnt
Two of the 5 people in our group ordered King Cut Prime Rib. It looked more like a queen cut even though we paid the price of a queen cut. They said it was some of the worst prime rib they ever had. It was 1/2 inch thick on one edge but 1 inch thick on the other side and there was almost as much fat as meat. The waitress and chef didn't seem to care when we asked about it. We have eaten prime rib there before and it was delicious. We will give it another chance because before this it has always been great but we will not order the prime rib again and if the quality of what we order is bad again it may be the last chance they get.
Very nice meal! Salmon Piccatta was excellent! Will be back again.
Enjoyed our dinner at the SteakHouse. All four meals were excellent and the service was prompt, friendly and very professional. Highly recommend this if you are in Cripple Creek.
We recently ate at the Steakhouse and everything from the food to the service (thanks, Jessica) was outstanding.
We had the bone-in ribeye and it was cooked to perfection. Our friends from out of town raved about how good everything was!
I had steak and my wife had lobster - both were excellent. Great place to eat.
Sandy is an excellent server, communicating well what specials are available, best temperatures for different cuts of meat etc. Our meal was delicious, steak was tender and flavorful. Everything was served in a timely manner.
Food Quality has really gone down. Green beans were barely cooked and had stems still on.
Weird salad with large chunk of iceberg lettuce in middle (1/8th of head)
We've been there twice in the past two weeks, to celebrate birthdays with the adult children. Both dinners were excellent, both waitresses were outstanding.
Great food but seriously overpriced. I'd never set foot in the place without having a coupon to get it free. Would recommend to a friend if they had a coupon--otherwise, no way.
Ribs were excellent. Prime rib was juicy, flavorful, and RARE (as it should be!!)!!!!! Definitely recommend the Steakhouse when you visit Cripple Creek. In fact, the entire Bronco Billys’ casino operation is the cream of Cripple Creek.
Food was a little disappointing. Have had much better before. I understand there is a new Chef.
The food was very good. Although the online menu was not consistent with the in restaurant menu. My reason for choosing this establishment, (tomahawk rib eye) was unavailable. The service was not bad but just average. The ambiance was also just average. The atmosphere and vibe was a little grundgy. I would consider eating here again but would look for other options first.
Fantastic service and the porterhouse steak, awesome. The wife really enjoy her crab legs.
Have been to the Steak House many times in the past, but it has been a few years since. This time did not seem as a special place. One booth seat was repaired with Duct Tape..kinda cheap? Just not as Top Notch as it once was.
We've never had a bad meal at the Steak House, but this one was exceptional! We had surf and turf, that featured crab legs, and it was excellent. The salad was fresh and crispy, the baked potato done to perfection and the homemade bread so delicious that we asked for more. If the food wasn't enough to make the dinner perfect, then our waitress was. She was absolutely wonderful; professional yet very friendly and down to earth, efficient and not pushy. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening!
The food was very good, I had the surf n turf and my dinner companion had the butter filet. Our waitress seemed a bit overwhelmed; I think she had too many tables to serve.
Waited ten minutes for water. The waitress apologized. She said she had 6 tables and it was had to keep up. We ordered an appetizer and she for got to bring it. Never did get my ice tea I ordered. The last five times we have eaten their it was great. This time not so much.
Able to be seated as schedule. Food was delicious.
We had the bone in ribeye and it was cooked to perfection. Our food came out quickly and everything was delicious.
Jessica was our waitress and as usual she did an excellent job.
The Steakhouse at Bronco Billy’s is the best!
