The Steak House at Silver Reef HOTEL - CASINO - SPA Ratings and Reviews
Everything was fantastic except for a few minor things. They stopped carrying Ciroc Vodka, which was my favorite vodka. The Steakhouse was actually the first place I had it, it was recommended years ago by one of the waiters...and now it's gone. Usually the ambiance is great, however that night, the table behind us were unusually loud.. and killed the nice, quiet, upscale atmosphere we're accustomed to. I could hear their conversation better than the one at my own table.
Aside from that, the food and service was outstanding as usual!
Server was slow getting to us. But after bringing it to the maitre d’s attention we were satisfied. Maybe short staffed? Quite a few open tables? But reservations are a must. Appetizers and dinner were great. I’ve always loved the special attention you get at the Silver reef steakhouse. Desserts are as delicious as the meals, save room, or split one. Cheers!
Little overpriced in my opinion, caesar salad had too much dressing on it, but overall was good, requested my steak med well was told it would be a bit dry, so order medium & it came with blood oozing out of it. Shrimp cocktail the best I've ever seen. Lobster mac definitely overpriced for a couple scoops of macaroni, hard to find the lobster in it. Service by Todd above and beyond, made up for the too high of prices.
Have had several excellent meals and service but for the first time it did not meet the mark. They slid together tables to accommodate a group who were extremely and unnecessarily loud. Plus the space was so tight that Ryan had to cook our table side steak in front of another table. While the steak Ryan prepared was real good the filet mignon prepared in the kitchen was untypicalky dry. The entire experience was disappointing especially being it was our wedding anniversary. Remedy: a) Looking back at it we probably should have asked to be reseated. Do to the loudness of the group you could see the unease of several adjacent tables. So not sure where we could have gone? b) There should be a separate area for groups c) Because Ryan had to move his cart due to lack of space we believe that timing was off with the kitchen which resulted in a dry steak. - This is our only bad experience so we plan on giving it another try in the future. We sincerely hope the intimate atmosphere returns to the Steakhouse in the future.
Being a holiday evening, we were told immediately that there were no specials because it had been a very busy weekend. Two of us had the crab stuffed shrimp and it was not up to standards. There were a lot of shell pieces in the crab and the shrimp was very tough. I have had many very good meals there, but not on January 1st.
We enjoyed it. As described by media and we enjoyed the experience. We will be back! I will say it is one of three guarantee restaurants we have found here since moving from Hawaii. We have been here six years, dine regularly and we our glad to add to the short list of consistent places. This was the first time and looking forward to the next time.
I had a 9 oz filet mignon that I ordered according to their cooking chart. I ordered med/well and expected a hint of red. the meat was very TOUGH and had zero flavor. The sides--creamed spinach, which we love, was also very mediocre as were the potatoes that were watery. Every time I put my fork down someone tried to clear my plate. We've eaten there before and have enjoyed our meals. Our last meal was less than mediocre and we will not be going back. For the price point the meals need to be consistent---as does the service!!!!
Both my wife and I order the filet mignon. Always cooked to perfection. Jay served us and always a pleasure to visit with him. Keith, Ryan, Dakota who also work there are great. You just can't go wrong . Anyone who has the opportunity should go. I highly recommend it.
It was actually an amazing experience, you have a very fine dining establishment in the middle of a casino which is good and bad. It's good because everyone should have access to fine dining and the experience of actually having a dinner in a nice atmosphere. The employees presented themselves professionally, and very knowledgeable about the menu. Being inside a casino you have to deal with the fact that you have people and tank tops and shorts, shoveling food in their mouth like they haven't had a meal in a month, and not truly appreciating the fine dining atmosphere that the casino has presented. I'm sure I'm coming off as a snob but to me having a meal of this quality should come with a certain amount of decorum, perhaps not a tie but at least a collared shirt a pair of slacks and a clean appearance. I realize that all of these things are outside the control of the casino and on the Patriots themselves. It's why I don't spend much time at casinos in general, but this Steakhouse is extraordinary, the staff are extraordinary, and the food is extraordinary.
Service was excellent. Excellent value. Food was good to very good. Steak House salad is a recommended try. Prime rib was not as good as it should of been. Salmon also wasn't as good as one would of expected. However our server was excellent and made the experience memorable. Overall The Steak House is a recommended try.
We had 7:15PM reservations and the table was ready when we arrived a few minutes early. We were 2 couples, and my brother and wife were asked for their drink order right away. We hadn't realized they had ordered drinks until they arrived, and we hadn't even been asked. Finally at 7:45 we got their attention and asked if we could also order drinks; a full 30 minutes. Also during this 30 minutes, we hadn't even been asked if we were ready to order our meal yet. Our waiter was very nice, but he may have been waiting too many tables on this evening.
The food is pricy but excellent; most people don't mind paying more for the great food and normally good service. After we finally did order drinks and dinner, the meal came in stages and in a timeframe one would expect. At this visit, I wasn't very happy with the service during the first 30 minutes. They were very accommodating to my brother who is disabled, but the location of the table didn't really give us a very good ambience feeling. If the food wasn't so good, our ratings would have been much lower.
I have been to the steak house more times than I can count and the food is always fabulous. The service is always fabulous and the atmosphere is very calming. I consider myself to be a bit of a steak connoisseur and for sure I have found the best New York steak in the world at the Steak House at Silver Reef. the deserts are amazing too.
