Second time here. Food again was terrific. I had the surf, turf and earth and the three others I was with had the steak special ... the cream sauce was splendid.
Our sever was delightful and I look forward to going back. Great location and atmosphere.
Always a pleasure w/ Mark manning the well stocked bar, creating new & novel approaches to tasty drinks & Larry in the kitchen, cooking up wonderful seasonal dishes as well as terrific comfort food. Always something new as well as all time favorites. You just cannot go wrong with anything on the extensive regular as well as daily menus. All served by a friendly, well trained staff. Whether it’s a special night or just a night out Station Kitchen is top of my list for local dining.
Looking for a last minute dining option on Open table, came across The Station- had stopped going to former owner's place and was surprised to learn that the restaurant had re-opened with new owners and chef. Reading reviews saw that the chef was former owner of Scoozies, a now closed restaurant in the area. We had loved his food and quickly made a reservation.
What a meal! OUITSTANDING! Chef Larry has gotten even better. I had scallops on winter hash- hash was roasted brussel sprouts and bacon. Superlative. My Wife had cioppini-so much shrimp, lobster and scallops.
Apparently the word is out on the restaurant because after arriving at 6:30PM, all the tables filled and there was a line of patrons to be waiting to get in. So, if you want a truly interesting and memorable meal at a reasonable price, GO!
Overall great experience, service and food were on point. Best part, right in my neighborhood.
Excellent service and food.
Wonderful place for everyday and special occasions.
Friendly staff and good food
Delicious food, awesome service, friendly staff, beautiful ambiance. Can’t wait to go back!
Mark is an excellent host, our server Sam and all the staff was very friendly, professional and effecient.
The kitchen was fabulous cooking both our delicious dinners to perfection . Try the 4 cheese onion soup, it's outrageously good.
Highly recommend to give this place a try.
Food and service always excellent
Always a great experience, during the winter months we sit at the bar and enjoy lively conversation with staff and other patrons.Summertime brings us out to the patio seating which is set up to allow for larger groups but is perfect for an intimate dinner as well. Food is always spot on and chef is always creative with an entree if there are food allergies.
Thank You Station Kitchen and staff, James S
Menu was great and not very pricey. Our table was not ready yet and the house bought my wife and I drink at the bar. The food was splendid and we will definitely go back to try some other items from the appy and main menu. Very nice and neat and clean... two thumbs up!
We have been to Station Kitchen in the past. Because the venue is very old, some seating is in areas that get cold. However this was remedied quickly. The food on our last visit was exceptional but not as good this time. I think that the pasta entree I ordered could have been
accompanied with some vegetables.
I would try it again.
Food was good but chef/owner came out to walk around and speak to guests at every table but ours. We felt slighted and it put a bit of a damper on a birthday celebration meal that otherwise could have been a really nice overall experience
Delicious food, seasonal handcrafted cocktails, creative desserts top it off with a warm, friendly staff and you have The Station Kitchen - the restaurant you'll to want to go back to.
The food is incredible you can taste the freshness, the seasonings pop and you want to take your time eating because it's a culinary adventure that you don't want to end.
You've got to dine here!
Never disappoint! There's always something new on the menu. Seasonal drinks are fabulous! Everything we've eaten is delicious! Wonderful wait staff! We'll be back many times!!
We always have a wonderful time when we eat at the Station Kitchen!
Food & libations are excellent.
Service is attentive.
We have been to Station Kitchen several times, the food is always very good. It was a very cold night and we were seated a little close to the outside door, a bit chilly at times. Great waitress and delicious food.
First impression was a very nice gentleman at the host/hostess podium wearing a beat up T-shirt, jeans and unshaven. Not great first impression. Server Christine however was amazing. Super attentive, very knowledgeable and personable. A treasure to the establishment. That being said....my husband and I are not afraid to spend for good food.... but we spent, and the food wasn’t that good. Duck quesadillas were puréed pieces of duck mixed with hoisin and filler. Quesadilla was mushy to say the least and way too salty. We then had a Caesar salad which was dressed well albeit missing the anchovies but the Parmesan crisp was a burnt mess according to my husband. Genuine shaved parmigiano would have been more up to speed. Our son had Mac and cheese that was a plus: clearly homemade and flavorful. He had the meatball appetizer that also was good.
For entree I chose the Asian wild salmon which was crusted well with sesame. Could have been cooked a couple minutes less as it was on the dry side but tasty nonetheless, minus the soy ginger sauce that was so salty. Requested steamed veg no butter but there was still butter on them. Being that I have a dairy allergy will assure I don’t go back because my allergies were not taken into any consideration by the chef when I requested no butter at all.
My husband had veal saltimbuca (spelled incorrectly on the menu, saltimbocca is proper). Not traditionally served at all, a disappointment when that is what you are expecting. Consulting an Italian chef may be a wise decision for proper menu items.
Good martinis and good service are the only pluses here given that a meal for three that included a 6 yr Old was $240 with tip.
Definitely has room for improvement... hope to see it happen.
We enjoy going to Station Kitchen and Bar regularly. Nice ambiance, good food, friendly service. The restaurant is adjacent to railroad tracks and our grandson just loves watching the trains go by. Just a little bonus to a wonderful meal. We will be back soon.
We have never been disappointed by the Station Kitchen. The food and the drinks are great, but perhaps even more importantly, the staff treats you as if you are part of a family. Thank you for another great night.
Superb dining experience as always! Looking forward to returning again and again!
All around great experience! I would recommend this restaurant to everyone!
My husband, family and friends had a great time once again. Our dinners were delicious and the owner along with his staff were all very personable. It's a great place to go for good food and a cozy atmosphere.
Nice menu, nice decor, really well prepared food!
Awesome service, excellent food . As always! Love going there!
Had a good time here. They took care of us! Everyone in our party was very pleased with the service and food!
We were seated before our reservation time. Drinks were served in a timely fashion. The food was varied and was hot and delicious. Of course, the desserts were sweet and a perfect end to a dinner with wonderful friends.
Nice, local restaurant, with great food, drink and service.
This was our second visit.
The short ribs were very fatty, but everything else was on point
We loved everything about this place! Great cocktails, great food, great service!!
Moderately priced and a very creative menu. Mark the owner was very attentive and made good suggestions. We will certainly go back with friends!
Great food. Wide selection of choices. Reasonable prices.
Had it not been for the significant number of 5 star, glowing reviews, my overall opinion would likely have been a little higher. The shrimp appetizer was excellent, limoncello chicken a little on the dry side. Bread pudding tasted good but had a strange consistency, more like pudding than not. We'd go there again but with so many choices, that might be a while.
fantastic experience as always. Always greeted with a smile and escorted to a cozy table. The specials are always outstanding. Italian nachos are to die for. It was my dad's birthday so they surprised him with dessert on a personalized plate. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone
The appetizers were absolutely fantastic. We had pasta purses and home made chips. The hangar steak was so tender and delicious. It was very crowded so service was a little slow. We have been here before and this was the first time the service was slow. Will definitely be going back!!!
Our meal at the Station was very good. We were amazed at the flexibility of the restaurant to provide exactly what we wanted to order. There was no problem adding to a dish or making changes, they were extremely accommodating. The resulting food was very tasty. I had the seared Tuna special and although it was a little raw (as its supposed to be), it was very good and the sauce served with it was excellent. My wife had the homemade pasta special and it too was very tasty. Our server was over the top friendly and a pleasure to dine with.
I have been to the Kitchen Station on a regular basis. The food and the service is excellent. Their specials are also outstanding.
I have not been to Station Kitchen for a few years and found out it is under new ownership. I had the scallops with risotto. The scallops were cooked perfectly! My boyfriend had the short ribs and it was very tasty. He cleaned his plate! WE shared the pineapple upside down cake. It was so refreshing.
Great food, nice ambience, attentive service. We will definitely go back, and bring friends.
Great food and excellent service. We will definitely return!
