The Station House Restaurant - Lantana Ratings and Reviews
Service was great.. We ordered grouper which was good with a small lobster tail that was only about 3 bites.. We also had snapper which was really good.. Appitizers were good too. The restaurant was a bit loud and the train tracks near by were very busy.. Next time I would focus more on a whole lobster rather than a small tail.
Always enjoy the seafood entrees and the fact staff will help with the lobster.
Kevin our server was extraordinary with his professional yet very personable service.
His terrific sense of humor added to the enjoyment of our dining experience.
Would go out of our way to request his section next occasion! Thanks for a wonderful evening.
I hate noisy restaurants. When I dine out, I want to be able to converse with my dining partners. The Station House was very good in that regard. The service was excellent. Unfortunately, the lobster (our particular reason for going there) was TOUGH and expensive. Friends who also happened to dine there that night also told us their lobster was tough as well. Can't understand it.
This place has been an institution for years. Best place for lobster. HOWEVER, recently upgraded menu -- more upscale. SIGNIFICANT price increase too and SMALLER portions. Used to bring a big bowl of salad for table- not any more. Lobster was not as good recently. At these prices you can go to a much nicer restaurant.
We had a reservation for 7:30 p.m. We arrived at 7:25 p.m. We were not seated until 8:10 p.m. Why b other to make a reservation at all?
The waiter was abrupt. He did his job but we thought that he could have been a little gentler. It was like a doctor without bedside manners.
The lobster was worth waiting for.....except that the piece of corn looked like it was from the bottom of the bin.
We did not have dessert.
If you want a great Lobster Dinner for a special occaision, no one in South Florida does it better. For me, I am reminded of going to the Hamptons in the summer and having a Lobster for dinner. What I particularly like about The Station House is that it makes Lobster the way you like it. And since Steamed for me was the only way to go, they do an excellent job in preparing that.
Since this was New Year's Eve, we did go early to make sure there was Lobster. And there was, and the next table had a 10 lb one. They brought it to the table to show off what was about to be their feast.
The service was excellent and the other sides including the cerviche were great as well! We do go back on special occaisions. We love the place for its authenticity.
I love this place. I’ve been here a number of times and can’t wait to go back. The food is great, especially the lobster and they will take it out of the shell for you. All the wait staff are very friendly and this last time we had Brooke who was extremely efficient and personable.
Been coming for years. Service was non existent upon seating so we asked the bar (gent w beard) for our first round. He was genuine and apologetic we were missed, delivered the drinks himself and took dinner order for the server. Server was apologetic and efficient from then on. Mistakes happen but the service recovery makes the difference. Food was great. Had snapper Francese after watching my sis eat for years. It was great. Thanks for everything including picking up the late first round. I will continue to promote (and I run my own restaurant:)! Will be back!
Enjoyed dinner for my birthday.
The 2lb Lobster was only ok. The
Lobster roll- which I had before and two of my guests repeated was surprisingly substantially better than 2 pounder.
Any return would be for Lobster roll.
Thought most of menu overpriced though. Shrimp appetizer sparse for charge and lobster pot stickers
Very average. I would only return for Lobster roll which was terrific.
Given overall price not sure how many folks I could
Recommend . Would return but only for Lobster roll which could. E enhanced beyond French fries.
