Fun from beginning to end! After dinner we had drinks outside under the heat lamps and provided blankets. The holiday lights were up and it was so enjoyable being outside sitting around a table and enjoying more conversations. Will return again!

Went back to Standard Grill for breakfast - I was little disappointed - avocado toast was passable though my husband says his eggs Benedict were 4 out of 5. I would go back to sit in white tiled entranceway as restaurant was quite dead. But it is great entranceway to Highline!

I recently went for my first time, on a family get-together. The staff were terrific, very attentive and friendly. They seem to genuinely care about their guests. The food was superb. We started with a selection of charcuterie and cheeses, which we shared among everyone at the table - a great start with drinks. Cocktails were generous and tasty. Then I shared the steak for two, but it was easily enough for three people. The noise level was lively, but we could easily talk around the table, which I always appreciate. I had booked on OpenTable and I requested a table in the back room. They accommodated us easily when we got there, and the table was perfect. All in all, a great restaurant and I will go back again soon.

I went to the Standard Grille with my family for my wife’s birthday. The food was solid, and he wait staff service was great, and there is a large wine selection. I did think it was a tad overpriced.

However, the front-area staff leave a bit to be desired. I had a reservation for 5:30, and some of my family members arrived early at 5:15. They were told they would have to wait to be seated until the reservation time. We returned to the host station at about 5:25, and despite the main dining area being empty, with no other explanation we were told “you have 5 more minutes.” We stood around until after 5:30, while other parties around us were being seated, and I eventually had to go to the host station and remind them that we were still waiting.

If this was dinner-rush time, maybe 7pm and you had a packed dining room, I could understand having to wait. But telling a party bluntly “you have 5 more minutes” without apology or explanation is uncalled for.

Alejandro and James were wonderful hosts for our delectable lunch. Everything was scrumptious. Definitely get the chocolate mousse - but be prepared for its size- it’s a treat and a half. It was my birthday and they made sure to make it special.

We went on a Sunday night, so I cannot speak for Fri/Sat/peak times, but we found it nice and intimate with a lovely ambiance, friendly service, and delicious food. We sat in the inner section, where the light was lower (we were on a date for my BF's birthday, so I chose the more intimate inner area, over the bright, outer section with windows). The wines were lovely. The chicken was so moist; we both agreed it was probably the best chicken we've ever had! The crispy potatoes were amazing, too. Roasted cauliflower was good. Loved the pennies embedded in the floor. Would definitely go back!

The wait staff were very personable, patient and responsive. Not all food ordered was adequately prepared, however. We were a table of six for Saturday brunch. The Turkish poached eggs had solid yolks as if the eggs had been hard boiled, certainly not like any poached egg I’ve ever had. The scrambled eggs served on country bread were good but rendered the bread unpleasantly soggy. The other guests with whom we dined enjoyed their frittatas and oatmeal. So great service, some dishes disappointing.

We stopped in after walking the highlife. We arrived about 20 minutes before our reservation and they seated us in an area of our choice immediately. The menu was a very nice mix of breakfast and lunch selections. My friend ordered a chicken salad which came with a separate fresh greens salad and freshly cooked and sliced chicken. She told me that the latte she had after the meal was the best she had ever tasted. I ordered the huevos ranchero which was very well done with fresh taco chips, black beans and eggs over easy. The coffee was offered in a pot so you didn't have to look frequently for the waitress. We were seated in the cozier inside portion of the restaurant but they offered a more casual Art Deco style section and outdoor seating as well. The service was very good for a very busy Sunday.

We stopped by at lunchtime on a Sunday. It's very popular, so reservations are recommended. We were unable to eat in the dining room due to customers who wanted to linger, but the front room was fine. Steak salad was delicious, and my husband enjoyed the Seven Grain Waffle.

Everything we had was delicious. Our server was professional and helpful, and we took his recommendations and were very happy with them. We ordered almost all of the side dishes, because we couldn't narrow it down, and they were all delicious. We felt that our martinis could have been larger for the price, but they were delicious as well.

The salmon was great as were the cocktails. The service was not so great. Slow, uninformed, no check ins to see how our meal was, never brought the blanket promised.
We were looking forward to the evening yet we're disappointed in the experience. Need to take a closer look at their service.

The table was not ready when we arrived at the correct time. Then they placed us in the Bistro and not in the dining area. They forget my side order to the main course, did not ask if I wanted to change wine to my main corse, so overall not impressed.

Very tasty smoked ribs special, uniquely prepared Brussels sprouts, delicious cole slaw, interesting side of charred eggplant and roasted carrots. The service was spotty, but it could be because our reservation was at 6 pm on a Sunday night, and we may have been between shifts. When we finally got our real server, she was quite pleasant and helpful.

One of the well known mainstays of the meatpacking district, I had heard many good things about this restaurant. Went there recently with some out of town guests and had an enjoyable dinner and we were not rushed for two hours. Nice selection of fresh east and west coast oysters but the other menu items were rather unimaginative and limited- very few fish dishes and not many steaks. Not much in the way of presentation and the portions were average...At 5pm the place was very quiet but by the time we left at 7, there was quite a racket. Desserts were good and prices were moderate. Its a good place for people watching and to be seen...but one visit was sufficient.
