   The food was amazing! It was exactly how I had expected our experience to be. The wait staff was attentive. It is a beautiful historic home with charm. I wish they offered a tour, even if it was an extra cost.

   Unbelievable experience from the second you enter. We went early to have some cocktails before dinner. The bar room, bartenders, and drinks were amazing. We got to walk through most of the historic townhouse on the way to our seats which added to the experience. The wait staff was excellent, made great recommendations, and made to time to chat a little. Dinner was phenomenal. The standard filet was next level, the rack of lamb cooked to perfection, and even the creamed corn became a highlight. The waiter recommended the JD cheesecake which was also phenomenal. From start to finish Excellent.

   This is my favorite Nashville restaurant. The ambience reminds me of New Orleans. The service is excellent & the food is wonderful.

   The food, service and atmosphere was fabulous! The staff was so nice, professional, knowledgeable and personable. Everything from the people to the food and music was great including the rich history the home/building has to read about while enjoying the wonderful experience it provides. Nashville’s hidden gem!

    This restaurant is definitely a diamond in the rough. It is one of Nashville’s finest restaurants. The service was impeccable. The food and atmosphere was excellent. You have to go and if you are very lucky Allen will be your waiter.

    Prefer to sip martini from a traditional martini glass rather than a champagne glass. Service was slow to start yet got in sync mid-meal and finished well. Beautiful interior. We hope to return again some day.

    The vibe of the vintage house was fantastic. We enjoyed our experience; food and service was excellent. I have Celiac disease so it is hard to find restaurants that have a lot of gluten free options, but The Standard exceeded all expectations in that regard. We will definitely go back.

    Fantastic! Great food with classy ambience. The Standard Filet was one of the best steaks I've ever eaten and the cream corn is very delightful. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a more "upscale" dining experience when celebrating a special occassion

    Food was outstanding, but the service is what really put it over the top. Allen was friendly, gracious, and a wonderful host/server. Felt like we were in our own private room. Highly recommend the Standard.

    The new pasta dish was the main fail. Over cooked pasta. Requested no onion and the entire dish was covered in onion. Not sure if our server forgot to make mention or if it was purposefully overloaded but this was rediculous and ruined the dish / would have ordered something else. Service was fair. Obviously the after thought table I was. Also don’t bring me to the bar, to get a drink and sit down before heading to my table if 3 seconds later you are going to usher me to my table. A money making ploy that was. Very nice place. Friendly staff. Fair wait staff. Steak and meat related Food was fantastic. Non meat related… not so bueno.

    Let me say… upon arrival to The Standard. Till our departure. We felt so welcomed and everyone was so nice and attentive! Being greeted by the owner Mrs Smith and her taking us to our table was a very nice personal touch! You don’t get that at many restaurants this day and time. Our food was excellent and all in a good timely manner! We will definitely return and highly recommend The Standard!

    A very unique historic building. Greeted by Sharon the owned, after enjoying a drink at the beautiful bar we were shown to our table. I recommend the fried green tomatoes for a starter. The lamb chops were very nice, my husband had the bone-in filet and loved it. We walked from a downtown hotel and it was a challenge to locate, given the construction around it. I would Uber next time, although they do valet.

    Love the venue. Hard to beat a 180 year old house with so many original features. We had beef filet, loaded mashed potatoes, and creamed corn. All were excellent. Service was superb. For a restaurant at this level I would like to see the addition of French onion soup and crème brûlée to complete the offerings.

    Service was exceptional from greeting the hostess to completion of the meal. The ambiance is lovely, and this is a great location for a special occasion or a romantic meal. The food was good, though I didn't think it fit the price point. Overall, a wonderful dining experience but there is better food in Nashville.

    We went here for dinner on a late Valentine’s dinner date. It was our first time here. The food was incredible, the service was incredible, and the atmosphere was incredible. You can tell the folks that seat you love what they do, and it is a family business. I would go back here in a heartbeat. We had the filet and creamed corn. So good!

    The Standard was incredibly romantic and the service was amazing! My husband and I had our Valentine’s date there and the second we got there, someone parked our car. The hostess took my coat and led us into a beautiful courtyard room with a bar where we were quickly served drinks of our choice and then we were led to our table in a cozy corner were there weren’t any people. It was fine dining and the servers were amazing. The food was incredible and it felt like we were eating in an old - school, European styled room with a chandelier. They were also playing jazz music and Frank Sinatra. They also took our pictures outside as we left. The whole experience was incredible! We will definitely be going back for special occasions!

    The service was 5star. Very polite and very kind. The woman at the front also very polite and kind and very professional. The filet Mignon with the truffle was one of the best I’ve ever had and the soup was very good too! I liked a lot the bar area ,it has space and tables you can enjoy your drink before food. An old building with history and a great experience for a romantic date!

    A tremendous experience! We went there for Valentine’s Day and enjoyed one of the best experiences we have had in Nashville. Food , atmosphere and service all just first rate. Couldn’t believe we had not really been familiar with The Standard before. Highly recommend them, especially for special occasions.
