   Simply put DO NOT miss dining at the Standard!!! There is nothing standard about it. Excellent refined service and fantastic food. No matter what you choose for apps dinner and desert, you are in for a treat. I never miss dining here when in Nashville and actually would make a special trip in just to dine here. The cream corn is NOT your grandmothers creamed corn. Simply amazing

   Wonderful historical building and ambiance. The steak was absolutely outstanding and the service attentive. Our server recommended wine pairings with our different courses and it truly enhanced the mean. The venue does host a cigar bar and the lingering smell is quite strong, but that’s the only drawback at this iconic restaurant.

   Excellent service from the moment we walked in. We really enjoyed the atmosphere inside, and the food was delicious.

   Had a 730 reservation made months in advance. Were seated and provided water promptly. Then sat for 20 minutes waiting for someone to take our cocktail order. Asked the person providing water if we could order a drink. He said David was our server and would be serving us. We shared that we've waited 20 minutes and he went to speak to someone. A very irritated server named Scott came to our table and asked for our drink order. When he came back he quickly left without taking our food order. Waited another 10 minutes and went to the host to ask for our check. It was an appalling experience which is disappointing because we were excited to try the food and the building was gorgeous.

   This was our first time here, and it was beautiful! We’ll definitely be back! We were surprised, though, at the fairly limited bar menu (unable to mix a Bloody Mary). The charcuterie was amazing, with four different wonderful cheeses along with meat, crostini, and olives. My wife fully enjoyed their filet. I ordered the pasta carbonara, and the ratios were just way off. Way too much sauce (yes, sauce, much like a super rich Alfredo) and not enough protein. I could have only three bites before I had to stop. This was unlike any carbonara I’ve ever had. Our sides (mashed potatoes, creamed corn, and green beans) were excellent. David, our server, and his two assistants, Anthony and Peyton, were very attentive.

   Fantastic experience in a historical venue. Service was a 10 out of 10 and food was incredible!!!!

   My favorite restaurant in Nashville. Something about an independent legacy restaurant where they pay attention to the smallest details. No rush and they accommodated the request to add lobster and jalapenos to the mac and cheese. Service was perfect along with every bite of food. Highly recommended.

    We had the filet tartare, Caesar salad and the sea bass with mashed potatoes. We were not impressed with the food at all. It was bland and average. Super cool, old southern house atmosphere. The bar area was gorgeous, almost gothic. Service overall was great, our main waiter was efficient but not friendly. Everyone else from hostess to bar tender was amazing. We likely wouldn’t go back unless we are seeing a show at the Pinnacle bc of convenience.
