Service was so slow and terrible. Caesar Salad made tableside was soggy and limp which was disappointing. The server had to be flagged down to take our order which arrived 45 minutes later and was served lukewarm. This was very disappointing. We had petrale sole sautéed which was served with oily vegetables and rice that was like a clump stuck together on the plate. It's sad as I thought this was a great restaurant the last time I went. They've really gone downhill.

Went to Spinnaker a few months ago meeting a cousin from SoCal for lunch and couldn't wait to go back for my husband's birthday. The view is unbeatable, the service is excellent, the menu large and food delicious.

The Spinnaker Restaurant is always the place for special days, celebrations, reunions and
even just Sunday dinner. The service is excellent, the food top-notch and the water views
spectacular! We have been returning customers for over forty years.

Have been visiting the Spinnaker for decades. It is a sentimental favorite. Some of the staff have been there for as long. Food is fair, but the views are spectacular.

At first I was unsure of the quality, as the building itself is quite old and needs serious updates (not to mention dusting and cleaning!), but the food was excellent (I had the Dungeness crab eggs benedict, which delightfully came without an English muffin or any kind of bread - just the most delicate crab cakes), and the ambiance and view were wonderful. It turned out to be an excellent choice. The interior and exterior of the building does need updating and cleaning though!

Well either the food was really amazing or barely edible. Several people had food that was amazing, one persons food was barely edible and one was mediocre. The desserts were really good. The view was amazing.

A wonderful afternoon at The Spinnaker! Tremendous service, gracious hostess, and delicious food. So delighted that we decided to celebrate our reunion here. We were seated at a window with awesome views of Mt. Tam and San Francisco. Not being 'foodies' we ordered some familiar staples such as a shrimp cocktail, the most exquisitely and deliciously put together club sandwich with fries, (slender crispy and perfect,) fish and chips that rivaled many pricier concoctions elsewhere, and fresh corned beef hash and eggs. We topped this off with a divine hot fudge sundae. Superb service.

We eat at Spinnaker frequently and always enjoy the food. We are on special diets, and the chef prepared our lunch just the way we asked. The service has always been good, wait staff always pleasant, and since we've been there numerous times, most know us. We always look forward to dining at Spinnaker.

The view is great but the place is old and not well kept. The carpet could be replaced. Food was not good, the fish was over cooked and the sea food salad spoiled.
We would never go back

The food was good, the service was very good, the view of the bay is great. The place itself should be renovated ASAP. Chairs and wallpaper are frayed... the bathrooms although fully functioning look as if they were built in the 70's and the whole dining room has that vibe, overall experience was good and the place has a huge potential but considering the prime location they should put a little money in it..

A fabulous restaurant with a wonderful menu. 4 of our party are vegetarian and we were thrilled with our menu choices. Tha ambiance and views are amazing and drinking cocktails while watching a night heron and seals fishing was one of the highlights of our holiday.
A truly memorable evening.

Went to dinner here to celebrate the end of a great holiday in the Bay Area. Food was excellent, lots of choice especially for seafood lovers. Service was great, not too present and never rushed. View is fabulous.

Highly recommend when you want a classic style higher end restaurant, love seafood and have two hours to take your time.

Overpriced mediocre food. Only good thing is the view. Might as well buy food at the grocery store and have a picnic at the park nearby. You’d get the same view and pay way less for better or same quality of food. Servers are nice but it’s so busy they can’t even really pay attention to you.

Alway s enjoy this restaurant mainly because of the ocean and San Francisco view.
Sausalito is such a great town to visit with its cute shops, parks, and wonderful restaurants.
The great thing about this place is there is plenty of parking, You can park yourself or use valet.
Lots of clam chowder and sea food too!

The waitress was very nice. My wife's dog was sick and she left the restaurant in tears. The waitress discreetly asked "is she coming back". Understanding the implication, I quickly replied, "Yes. We just have a sick dog". My wife returned, we had a nice meal, and when my wife's dessert arrived, the waitress had added a birthday candle claiming that "someone" had mentioned a birthday celebration. Of course, no one had mentioned anyone's birthday, but the happiness and cheerfulness the waitress provided were very much noticed and very much appreciated.

We are Sausalito residents and had the most epic meal at the Spinnaker last night for our 15 year anniversary. I have eaten at this restaurant so many times for close to 40 years & have never had anything other than stellar food. Somehow yesterday I had goofed up an OpenTable gift certificate and they were quite helpful and patient sorting out my problem.

It's my opinion that Spinnaker wins: best view, best food, best place to bring your tourist friends, best place to meet for a glass of wine in their spacious bar if one is in Sausalito.

(We were supposed to go to Healdsburg this week for our anniversary, but our hotel canceled our reservation because of the horrific wildfires up north. We also had filled our car with our belongings a few days ago thinking we would have to evacuate OUR home in Sausalito because of a wildfire 3 blocks away ! So, we REALLY were in desperate need of a good time for our anniversary!) So, Thank you Spinnaker, you delivered a wonderfully memorable time!

Made birthday lunch unforgettable; the view was spectacular as always. Spinnaker is nostalgic having grown up in SF and raising my kids in Marin as they attended schools in Sausalito. Extensive menu selections, there's something for everyone! The Spanish seafood fideau is delightful. Will be back for date night.
