The Spinnaker - Sausalito Ratings and Reviews
One of my favorite places. Easy access from the ferry, good food, goood service, GREAT view. Make a reservation and you usually get a window table. Between the spectacular ferry ride, the gorgeous view and the delicious Crab Louis, a real win for visiting guest entertainment!
Come for the view, stay for the fresh seafood. Excellent for special occasions or a business meeting. Views of San Francisco, Tiburon and Sausalito. Watch the sailboats and seals swim by...Overall wonderful place to enjoy tasty food. Free valet. Hidden gem. I am a local.
Service was so slow and terrible. Caesar Salad made tableside was soggy and limp which was disappointing. The server had to be flagged down to take our order which arrived 45 minutes later and was served lukewarm. This was very disappointing. We had petrale sole sautéed which was served with oily vegetables and rice that was like a clump stuck together on the plate. It's sad as I thought this was a great restaurant the last time I went. They've really gone downhill.
Loved this restaurant because of the setting Exceptional, on a lovely autumn day. Food was good, but not exceptional - but the service was Wonderful -- he made a point of having our lunch prepared to our specific diet limitations. Quality of food was very good, but it could have
used a little more sauces or flavoring.... BUT, we will be back again~~~!!!!
At first I was unsure of the quality, as the building itself is quite old and needs serious updates (not to mention dusting and cleaning!), but the food was excellent (I had the Dungeness crab eggs benedict, which delightfully came without an English muffin or any kind of bread - just the most delicate crab cakes), and the ambiance and view were wonderful. It turned out to be an excellent choice. The interior and exterior of the building does need updating and cleaning though!
A wonderful afternoon at The Spinnaker! Tremendous service, gracious hostess, and delicious food. So delighted that we decided to celebrate our reunion here. We were seated at a window with awesome views of Mt. Tam and San Francisco. Not being 'foodies' we ordered some familiar staples such as a shrimp cocktail, the most exquisitely and deliciously put together club sandwich with fries, (slender crispy and perfect,) fish and chips that rivaled many pricier concoctions elsewhere, and fresh corned beef hash and eggs. We topped this off with a divine hot fudge sundae. Superb service.
We eat at Spinnaker frequently and always enjoy the food. We are on special diets, and the chef prepared our lunch just the way we asked. The service has always been good, wait staff always pleasant, and since we've been there numerous times, most know us. We always look forward to dining at Spinnaker.
