The Southern Gentleman is a Southern-inspired gastropub in The Buckhead Village District. The concept celebrates every aspect of what it means to be from the South with a fresh, modern take on traditional dishes made with locally sourced ingredients. The bar program explores the artistry and history of classic Southern cocktails—everything from barrel-aged cocktails to bottled libations to adult beverages on tap, along with New World wines and craft beers and the “perfect” mint julep.

The gorgeous top floor space in Buckhead Atlanta was designed by New York’s Lacina Heitler, and features classic, Southern touches done in surprising, modern ways: seersucker window treatments, tufted camel leather booths, vintage plateware, white marble countertops, vaulted ceilings, herringbone floors, dramatic chandeliers, complete with an oversized portrait of Mark Twain painted by a commissioned local artist.

This Father’s Day treat those special Dads in your life to a great meal with the family at The Southern Gentleman! We will be taking reservations from 11am to 3:30pm featuring a specially crafted three-course prix-fixe menu during brunch. The prix-fixe menu will be the only menu available during this time. Priced at $65 for adults. A kids menu will also be available and priced a la carte. Pricing does not include tax & gratuity. During dinner we will be featuring our a la carte classic dinner menu with chef features. We look forward to celebrating with you soon!

Ean was the bartender and server. He was absolutely amazing at both. The atmosphere was perfect for 3 ladies grabbing a bite and celebrating a late birthday together prior to a play. The food was delivered fast and was extremely tasty. Definitely will continue to visit .

Very difficult to find their garage for free parking. They should give you its name and address for your GPS. Had to park at a different garage and walk to the restaurant. Excellent food especially the short ribs which was not full of fat. Server personable and fun. Long time to get the desert.

A Perfect Birthday Dinner at The Southern Gentleman We celebrated my wife’s birthday at The Southern Gentleman in Atlanta’s Buckhead area, and the experience was unforgettable from start to finish. Nestled in one of the city’s most elegant neighborhoods, the restaurant exudes Southern charm with a refined twist — making every guest feel like royalty. The food was absolutely incredible. We ordered a variety of dishes, each more impressive than the last. The fried green tomatoes were crisp and flavorful, a perfect Southern starter. The buttermilk Southern fried chicken paired with sweet potato cornbread was rich, comforting, and downright to die for. The shrimp and grits, served with a unique pimento cheese and smoky tomato-based sauce, offered a creative and delicious spin on a classic. And the pork chop? Absolutely the star of the evening — tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. The Southern Lemonade cocktail was the ideal pairing: citrusy, lightly sweet, and dangerously smooth. Service was flawless — warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The ambience and lighting were beautifully curated, creating a calm, intimate setting. Been there several times.Service at the bar where I always sit down is great. Had a pork chop that was a little bit spicy for my taste but it was tasty.The wine selection by the glass is short and should be improved.
