Alvaro was The Best! He made the experience even better than we are used to. Thanks!
I was disappointed. We got to the restaurant early because we had tickets to a concert starting at 7:30. The place was not very busy when we got there except for a reception on the first floor. After having to literally squeeze my way through a bunch of people we were seated upstairs where it was not very busy. The service was good until the restaurant started getting busy and it then went downhill. Had to get up and find our waiter to get our check to leave.
The food....the dumpling appetizers were very soggy. I ordered the Branzino and when the waiter set it down it was beautiful but before I could get a word out he started pouring a sauce all over it and drowned the fish in a sticky, sweet overpowering sauce that was awful. The meal came with a side of asparagus and peas that were in a bowl with another sweet teriyaki type sauce that left no hint of the flavor of the vegetables. I barely ate my food and my bill with tip was over $100. Would not go back.
We went for our anniversary. We had a great time, the staff was very friendly, and the food was excellent. We were not expecting anything but when the end of the evening was
approaching we had gotten a small anniversary dessert. It was unexpected and a wonderful surprise.
I haven't been in awhile and I was really excited that the food was as good if not better than I remembered. 3 of us split the 8-plate dim sum tasting menu and it was delicious!
The food and service were outstanding. We were celebrating an anniversary and the staff went above and beyond to make our evening a special.
Lunch was very good but we miss the former lunch menu and the “amuse Bouches” which the chef used to serve to lunch diners , including the tuna tartar cones and the green Beans with pecans . And the chocolate chip cookies weren’t the usual — still warm and gushing over with chocolate chunks —Also service was a bit slower than usual —- busy day I guess —
Drinks were creative and delicious. We ordered the scallops and the Amish half chicken. Both were well prepared and tasted great. Service was super slow. At one point it felt like we were forgotten. It's a nice place for dinner over all.
Wonderful lunch with friends and a delightful sever.
Bright, modern dining environment. Interesting dishes. Location convenient to the National Gallery. Quite pricy considering the very small portions. You will go hungry unless you have a $50 pp lunch budget.
It was a wonderful and seamless experience from the beginning to end. Great food, awesome service and top notch dessert
So many delicious options! The table gave the dumplings a go and the shrimp were the winner. We had varied options across the table for dinner and everything was wonderful. Not a complaint amongst the five of us. The carrot cake won the dessert round.
Great drinks and great service. Highly recommended!
Great cocktails, food was very good just a bit salty for my taste.
Hostess was wonderful!
Always wonderful cuisine... but truly exceptional wait service on top of it this time! Can't wait to be back.
Wonderful food! Authentic and tasteful- wait staff was attentive and environment was very comfortable
Nice take on asian fusion. Fun cocktail menu.
This one didn't quite meet my expectations. The service was spotty and we received dirty flatware...I expected a more attentive staff at a place like this. The food, we have mixed reviews, the lobster dumpling appetizer was excellent. Our fish entrees were fine but unremarkable. I'm not sure I will return here.
Great place for food and drinks! I love the Source family!
The waiter was very helpful in describing the dishes. He helped us pick out the right ones for our tastes. Everything was outstanding.
The dumplings (lobster and shrimp) and the duck are to die for.
Excellent, Superb!!!
Our waiter was the best. Really went above and beyond.
We come here a lot —-special occasions or just a yen for the duck. I am still waiting to be disappointed. I am always impressed anew: by the food and the service. Don’t miss dining here.
Awesome restaurant! The service was excellent and we ate some of the best meals I have ever had. Attention to detail and flavor are tops! Highly recommended.
Russell delivers. Presentation, flavor and vibe. Tremendous service!
The ambiance is not the best. It feels like an airport lounge with good food.
Outstanding service and superb food! Thank you for recognizing our special occasion as well.
We stopped in for brunch, not aware that the menu was Dim Sum, (which I typically do not like*), with a choice of 5 or 8 selections. We were three people and chose the 8 dishes. It was nothing short of magnificent! So creative, so good and so unique. I highly recommend this restaurant for Saturday brunch (closed Sunday). In addition to the food being great, the service was excellent and the host and server were friendly. The server was knowledgeable as well. Can't wait to try it for lunch and dinner.
* I can no longer claim to not like Dim Sum.
This is one of the best Puck restaurants I have been too, although I've never been disappointed at any
We had a FANTASTIC dinner. 2 of us split the duck and the fennel and blood orange salad. It was so delicious. I had the flourless chocolate dessert and we all had a taste. Before dinner, the bartender made me a special drink based on my favorite flavors❤️❤️
Both the food and service were outstanding!
The food here is exceptional. Uncharacteristically, the service this time was a bit inconsistent. The food more than made up for that, though. We started with potstickers and dumplings, both of which were superb. Then we moved on to scallops and halibut, equally delicious. Dessert was cheesecake, somewhat disappointing, and chocolate soufflé, wonderful.
3/13 lunch during a visit to the national galleries...empty room, absurdly slow service from a young blond waiter who could care less...the menu items had changed that day and 4 menus were in two different ways
Spa gos , etc in late and Vegas....Wolfgang and David Robbins....can’t help this entirely out of step, failure on every level
The food was good but it was more spicy than usual in all dishes
Amazing as always!
Always a great evening out when eating at The Source. The food is creative and beautifully prepared, the service is very professional, and the atmosphere is calm but not too quiet. We were celebrating a big birthday, and they brought out extra desserts for our group, which we had not ordered. Very thoughtful service.
Very nice. Highly recommend
I had a great lunch. The food was delicious and we received great service.
The chili halibut was excellent. Service was on point but the music was a little loud for causal dining. Easy fix for a great spot- would definitely return!
Great experience! Chef Russels food was top notch, super talented. Service was attentive and very descriptive on the Peking duck offering. Will definitely be back!
Excellent food! Wonderful service, our waiter enhanced our evening with excellent suggestions.
Drink prices a bit steep.
