The Saturday dim sum brunch is fantastic! Each dish is delicious and interesting - we loved the Impossible Dumplings, turnip cakes with pork and miso glazed donuts. Strangely, washing everything down with the best Bloody Mary just works. A great way to spend a cold winter afternoon with friends!

Delicious meal. Great service. Airy but not noisy space perfect for quiet conversation. The seating was a bit awkward for a business meal--a corner sofa/banquette, small that kind if cuddled us together and was slightly too far from a table that was too heavy to easily pull toward us. And I wish it were not quite so pricey. But I love the place anyway and will be back.

We visited on a quiet night. So we had great service and a great experience. Not sure how it would have been if the restaurant were full. But our visit was A+

Excellent and attentive service. They made our special occasion perfect. The food was delicious and inventive for the most part, although the duck stir fry was quite salty.

I’ve been here so many times so I figured it will be great but the service was poor because I had three people but was seated at a very small round table. Which made the dining experience very awkward and uncomfortable.

I been quite a few times and left the area for 2 years but when I returned nothing had changed. The restaurant was as amazing as the last time I had dined. I love this restaurant and would recommend any and everyone to try!

I had high hopes, but the Source did not not meet expectations.

There were a couple of minor issues with service (we were seated after someone who had later reservations than us and our server did not bring over a wine list with the menus, and was unattentive). The food was decent, but not for the price we paid. We had shumai and the beef noodle soup. The shumai had an odd texture that was off putting but the beef noodle soup was the hightlight of the meal. I was extremely disappointed in the fact that the parsnips were not cooked through and the dan dan noodles had no flavor. The baked alaska was okay but not flambe'd table side which was disappointing.

It was just a disappointing meal overall.

My sister and I went for lunch after visiting the Nat'l Gallery as the location is perfect - connected the the Newseum and it's very convenient parking. We shared a variety of appetizers as well as the duck entree - all were excellent. Even the "house" wine was suprisingly good. Our waiter was five star - courteous, well informed, present without being at all intrusive.
I highly recommend.

The hostess was buying time in setting up the table by selecting flatware, napkin linens and glassware one at a time from other tables in the restaurant. It was a very slow process because she place one item on the table at separate times. Perhaps this was to keep the noise level down but she told us it was so she could buy time for the server. The server needed more time before we were seated. Please note we had reservations and arrived on time. Then the server; I prefer waiter it sounds much more professional to me than server, had no dessert recommendations when we asked if there were a dessert recommendation or popular dessert. “Neah”. It was uneventful and I suspect it is more for tourists than locals. Perhaps you’ll have a better experience. Good luck

Great dining experience, as always, that wonderfully accommodated my and my husband’s vegan diet. Fantastic service by our waiter Jorge, Maitre D Frank, as other staff.

My wife and I have gone to The Source a number of times, mostly for lunch when doing the DC museums. We are never disappointed. This particular time we conveniently parked across the street and arrive a bit early but no issues. The service was excellent: our waiter answered questions, made suggestions and was very attentive to our needs. The restaurant is spotless and all of the staff very helpful. The lunch menu selection was not exhaustive but certainly adequate for our desires, the prices moderately expensive but well worth it. There is construction across the street which did not improve the view but there was no noise from the construction site. Overall, we were delighted with the experience and will certainly return!

We absolutely loved the delicious and creative meals. We celebrated a birthday and received menus with signage saying "Happy Birthday!" Overall a great choice, though as we were selecting the wine, the waiter was fairly rude and asked us to more quickly decide if we liked the wine. The waiter appeared impatient during much of the dinner, so service was unfortunately not to the same par as the quality of the food.

This was my second dining experience at the restaurant. The first, which was shortly after opening, was disappointing. I vowed then that I would never dine here again but was taken in by an article which indicated that the menu had changed and the food had improved. While the appetizers are better, the main dishes remain a disappointment. There are MANY better options in DC.

Second time at The Source was the best time. The food and service were outstanding. We enjoyed the Whole Duckling, Spicy Tuna tartar and Stir fried squid ink noodles. The tuna tartar and whole ducking were the best. We were celebrating a birthday and the waitstaff did an outstanding job of making the birthday girl feel special. Highly recommend the Source

Wonderful food, gracious service, fine late dinner experience.

(Only flaw was loud table nearby that made our conversation more challenging than should have been. They seemed to feel they were the only ones left in the room, and we finally had to tell them they were mistaken.)

We entertained out-of-country friends on her birthday. We opted to go with the new tasting menu even though the regular menu had "Happy Birthday" printed on them, which was a nice touch. Added the roasted duck when a server brought it by mistakenly. The duck became the highlight of our meal, especially the stir fried duck with bok choi dish. A very Asian way with an American twist. We loved it.
