My wife and I have gone to The Source a number of times, mostly for lunch when doing the DC museums. We are never disappointed. This particular time we conveniently parked across the street and arrive a bit early but no issues. The service was excellent: our waiter answered questions, made suggestions and was very attentive to our needs. The restaurant is spotless and all of the staff very helpful. The lunch menu selection was not exhaustive but certainly adequate for our desires, the prices moderately expensive but well worth it. There is construction across the street which did not improve the view but there was no noise from the construction site. Overall, we were delighted with the experience and will certainly return!

We went for lunch. The dumpling sampler was delicious and fun. The Salmon and the Asian Chicken Salad were extraordinary.

The food , ambience and service were excellent. There was a minor error in one of the dish we ordered, the manager offered ways to resolve it and also gave us free dessert.

We absolutely loved the delicious and creative meals. We celebrated a birthday and received menus with signage saying "Happy Birthday!" Overall a great choice, though as we were selecting the wine, the waiter was fairly rude and asked us to more quickly decide if we liked the wine. The waiter appeared impatient during much of the dinner, so service was unfortunately not to the same par as the quality of the food.

Everything was terrific. If you could believe my friend ordered chicken and it scrupulously delicious. My halibut was just as good. Service was excellent from our host who was patient even though we were 30 minutes late to our servers.

The small plates were sumptuous, creative. And very tasty. The service. Was super including a successful plea to our chef for an item just removed from the menu. The wines were also excellent. We greatly enjoyed our meal!

This was my second dining experience at the restaurant. The first, which was shortly after opening, was disappointing. I vowed then that I would never dine here again but was taken in by an article which indicated that the menu had changed and the food had improved. While the appetizers are better, the main dishes remain a disappointment. There are MANY better options in DC.

Second time at The Source was the best time. The food and service were outstanding. We enjoyed the Whole Duckling, Spicy Tuna tartar and Stir fried squid ink noodles. The tuna tartar and whole ducking were the best. We were celebrating a birthday and the waitstaff did an outstanding job of making the birthday girl feel special. Highly recommend the Source

Delicious whole duck. We did not feel rushed, liked the fact that the tables were nicely spaced, did not feel like we enjoying our Neighbor’s conversation or food!

Wonderful food, gracious service, fine late dinner experience.

(Only flaw was loud table nearby that made our conversation more challenging than should have been. They seemed to feel they were the only ones left in the room, and we finally had to tell them they were mistaken.)

We went because we have enjoyed several other Puck projects, but never with an Asian theme. The food was incredible and the service was excellent. Now our favorite Puck Restaurant.

Always hit or miss here with the Szechuan peppercorn steak. Sometimes it's amazing, sometimes it's so so, this time it was fairly dismal.

Oil-poached halibut was overcooked and dry. Three of the four of us ordered this dish and all agreed it was overcooked.

We entertained out-of-country friends on her birthday. We opted to go with the new tasting menu even though the regular menu had "Happy Birthday" printed on them, which was a nice touch. Added the roasted duck when a server brought it by mistakenly. The duck became the highlight of our meal, especially the stir fried duck with bok choi dish. A very Asian way with an American twist. We loved it.

Although we were hoping to go for lunch (it pays to look at the website of a restaurant before you go), they were only serving brunch because it was a Saturday. We were thinking of leaving. The waiter convinced us to stay and we are glad he did. Even though it was a "brunch" menu, there was plenty to find that would count as "lunch." Everything we had (mostly recommendations from the waiter) was tasty, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor - some subtle, some fiery. The only negative is the coffee price. I ordered a cup of coffee and it was six dollars. Granted, they bring out a small pot of french press so it ended up being more than a cup of coffee. However, all I wanted was a cup of coffee and wouldn't expect to pay that much for it.

The service was okay. I felt that the waiter very seldom checked to see if our drinks needed refilled or whether our food was acceptable. Having every lunch entre priced above $20 seemed a bit pricey -- even for DC.

The $36 prix fixe lunch was a great value. The first course was a beautiful tuna tartare... the tuna was fresh and delicious. My entree was the duck khao soi which was a blend of the most amazing flavors... shredded duck, sweet curry, hot peppers, and savory pickled broccoli with crunchy noodles. Topped off with fresh, homemade chocolate chip cookies. This is now one of my go to spots for business lunch.

Great food and service. I've been here before but this time was my wife's birthday. Every person that interacted with us wished her a happy birthday. We went for dim sum Saturday brunch and we tried to order one of the small plate desserts for our tasting. The waiter told us to order another dish instead because he was going to give us two complementary desserts. The food is so good here. You can't go wrong no matter what you get but the duck bao buns are our favorite.

Had an early reservation and was very surprised how empty the Restuarant was. Made us a bit nervous as the atmosphere was not happening. Food turned out to be very good, especially the hot and sour soup. Places started to finally fill up at 7:30 but the vibe remained low. Wonder why this place is not busier??! Use to be a hot spot. Maybe a remodel or branding needs to be looked at!

We selected the tasting menu and we were happy that we did this option.
Started with the complimentary food all the way to dessert, the food was delicious.
The service was great.
We will recommend this place to anyone.
