The Social Club - Surfcomber South Beach

Every second Saturday they have a limited menu. They should inform us of this when booking. We were very disappointed in the limited selection. I chose short ribs that were over cooked and dry. My husband had the half bbq chicken which was not cooked enough; pinkish red near the bone. The service was only average. Loved the decor.
Hostess kept me on hold for 30 mins, I even got there and was still on hold. It wasn’t even busy...but the food and our server was great!
Our meal was fabulous, cool place.
Although the food was good, the menu selection was sparse. Not a lot of choices. Prices were pretty much in line with other hotel restaurants. My biggest complaint was our waitress. Not at all engaging and seemed to be in a bad mood. We sat outside on the patio. There were ashtrays sitting around and a couple in our group smoked. A guest from the table behind us jumped up with her toddler and went to complain about the smoke. The waitress then came to our table and told us that there was no smoking where we were seated
(on the patio next to the building) although you could smoke at the tables directly beside us on the patio (next to the railing) which literally was less than 3 feet apart and just as close to the table who complained. My feeling is IF you do not want to be around smoke...then sit inside where smoking is not allowed at all. I don’t particularly care having a noisey toddler seated by me when I’m having a business dinner. But I didn’t complain about it.
The menu on the website wasn't current. So wasn't quite what we were expecting. Limited selection. Took a very long time to get a salad. Other's who placed order after us got their food before us. Waitress seem to rush us through didn't even want to take the time to get our drink order before moving to the next table.
Brunch food was great. Filled bottomless mimosas fast
The food was ok, but service left a lot to be desired. Server forgot several requests throughout the meal and mischarged on the check. When the mistake was pointed out, we were told it would be a major process to correct.
Luis, our server, could not have been less attentive. One example of many, he forgot to bring our coffee and it didn’t come until after we were already eating our meal. Omelet was over cooked.
Do not go here. Really bad service, very bad food, even worse ambiance. There was no music!
We went there for brunch and the bottomless mimosas were amazing!! The servers were friendly and the food tasted great. Not to mention lots of cute places to take photos
Our server was the best and the food was even better! We went on a week night so it was not busy at all and sat outside and could hear the music from the other restaurants. A great atmosphere and the best appetizers!
This is a great spot for brunch - the food is delicious and the vibe of the place is great!
Food was ok, service was slow and poor (maybe because gratuity was already added no need to try). Overall a “meh” experience.
One of the best meals I have had on South Beach, staff fantastic and food stunning, Lobster Mac and cheese was amazing and deserts where amazing. The Doughnuts out of this world. Great place will be back.
Very good, nice atmosphere, friendly staff. The food was very good!
I went there for my birthday and got a complimentary basket of donuts, very delish with the expresso chocolate dip. Food was amazing.
The pictures made it seem more like a stand alone restaurant, but it is very small "hotel lobby" restaurant.
Service was absolutely horrendous. The restaurant was not packed with maybe 3 tables on the patio and 2 inside and only 1 waitress for the whole restaurant. She took forever to get anything we asked. We were starving when we got there and I ordered my frites as an appetizer and it came out with everyone’s food. Then my fried chicken was missing and came out 20 minutes after everyone finished eating. When it finally came, the food was very tasty but not worth enduring the terrible service.
Went there for breakfast- Carrot Cake Waffles were great. Bottomless Mimosa not worth the expense. Hand Crafted juices is where its at. Pineapple Express!!
Good food. Cool place. Very overpriced.
Nice hotel bar. Friendly staff. Service was a little spotty. Drinks expensive, but they offered a Yelp coupon for a mimosa. Food was good: omelette was really good; so was avocado toast.
The food was good but the wine selection and quality was very disappointing.
Good place ... good vibes ...
Lucas was awesome!
Went there for Breakfast and it was Delicious. Had the avocado toast, yogurt with honey and granola and a Big bowl of fresh fruit. Yummy.
The food was sooo good. The bartender makes good drinks that are not watery. Servers are helpful and friendly. I wish the sign was a little bigger as it was hard to find the restaurant but other than that it was good.
This is basically a coffee shop in the lobby of the hotel. Took a while to get our order taken and waitress was cool and distant. Took order and never said a thing.
We went there for brunch but the "brunch" and "breakfast" menu was very limited. The food did come quickly and what we all ordered was very good.
I give them kudos for the food. The rest...blah.
Food was amazing, the “Syrup” for the chicken and waffles was superb! Really glad I went. Our server Leo was amazing as well, and made excellent recommendations. Next time I’m in Miami, I’ll be back!
Service was slow slow slow. Pass on this one.
New Eve dinner wasn’t good at all, very disappointing... we expected better service and the food for the price paid. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this place, maybe for drinks only...
We made reservations for a special NYE dinner with friends. We dined outside on the patio, which was very nice and comfortable. The server was very sweet, but sooooo slow. It took 30 mins for our first round of drinks, which were not made the way we ordered, but we didn’t make a fuss (it’s near impossible to get a good Martini in Miami). Anyway, 3 long hours later, as we waited for dessert, we were given a $1000 dinner bill, which would be fine if we had a nice dinner. Unfortunately the food was not good, drinks were terrible, and service was unapologetically slow. Fortunately for the server, they included a 19% gratuity on the check.
Special so called New Year’s Eve dinner was just awful.
I got sick due to the quality of the food.
This is a shame for a 200$+ bill for two people...
the food was very good, but the person who attends the entrance of the restaurant to assign us the table was a rude and unfriendly should change that staff...
Magdalena was phenomenal! Her food recommendations were fantastic. The steak was perfectly prepared. The ahi tuna was delicious.
Went for brunch- best eggs Benedict I’ve ever had! Quick service, nice location. Drink prices were just a tad steep, but that’s Miami for you!
Hd a great dinner and great service by the bartender Andres. Would love to stop by on my next visit to Miami.
The food was delicious but the service was incredibly slow. Our waiter was pleasant, don’t think it was his fault but make sure you’re prepared to wait. Highly recommend the couscous Mediterranean salad with mahi mahi
Hip, fun and most importantly yummy! The potatoes that come with the breakfast dishes are amazing, little pillows of crispy deliciousness. The avocado toast was great too, a lovely combination of creamy and crispy, perfect with my spicy, pickly Bloody Mary. But the piece de resistance are those heavenly little donuts, don’t think about calories, just eat them! Light, fluffy and moist on the inside, crispy on the outside- then dipped into the dulce de leche, OMG!
The place is super cute and great for groups. The location is easy and central. The food was great for brunch and the bottomless mimosa is def worth every penny. The wait staff was pretty horrible and service was a bit frustrating. We had to ask repeatedly for water and basic food condiments and aside from the prompt refill on mimosas other things just seemed to not be addressed. One of our friends waited a significant amount of time while we all received our food and another side order had been forgotten. It seemed like the waitress knew she was already getting 18% automatic gratuity included in the bill so there was no effort made to so the bare minimum. We requested to modify the tip and they honored this as we just were really disappointed with the service.
