The Social Club - Surfcomber South Beach Ratings and Reviews
This place was just okay. The best thing was mac & cheese so that is not saying much. I expect more when in South Beach. Sitting inside there was a lack of ambiance. Took over 30 minutes to get a bottle of wine for a table of 6 people when we were the only table inside. Basic food and bad wine.
I made a reservation for brunch for 3 people on October 28, 2017 for my birthday. You guys took over an hour to seat and feed us.... and first we were sat at a 2 top table and made to feel bad when another 2 person table finished and we asked if we could spread out. You guys should have done something about the noise level of that group to our left. Their noise level was disgraceful and so disrespectful to other patrons. I felt like I was at a football game; something I didn't sign up for when I chose your establishment for brunch. The hostess was in a terrible mood, the manager was useless in providing support.... the only good thing was our very sweet waiter, who was trying his best to make a terrible dining experience better. Also, my hollandaise sauce was severely undercooked. You guys should be embarrassed for providing such a terrible experience; I'm certainly embarrassed for eating here.
We were staying at the Surfcomber and decided to check out the Social Club for dinner. The restaurant was quiet because South Beach is still recovering from Hurricane Irma. Our server was friendly and made several suggestions, all of which we tried...brussel sprouts, wings, and red snapper. They were all delicious. It was my “pre-Birthday” dinner and we were given complimentary house-made donuts for dessert....a nice touch!
The service was excellent. I don't remember our waitresses name (she was polish), she was great! They did not have the dessert we ordered, so she brought us to very nice complementary glasses of wine and another dessert on the house. Above and beyond. The food was great as well.
Who knows if the food would have been good or not as we never had the chance to try it. There was a black out, so no electricity and no food, I understand that these things can happen but for sure they could have contacted Open Table to inform all customers with a reservation informing them that it was cancelled instead of having us go there and then figure out from there what to do and where to go.
Came here for my best friends 30th birthday for brunch. We were spending the weekend in Miami and I was lucky to find this gem. We were a big group of girls and they were all very happy with my location choice. We ordered so many things off this menu. Bday girl was happy with her chicken waffle sliders and endless mimosas. Awesome place, and friendly staff.
Best experience ever!! Came on the 16th at 5:30 the bartender Andres was great and our waiter (can't remember his name was AWESOME! He is apparently shy (at least that's what we were told) but he embodies what customer service is all about. He was exceptional! He had pulled a double and still had a great attitude.
We waited a fairly long time for our food. Other than that, the service was good and the background music was great nostalgia of late 90s and early 00s. I highly recommend the "the" breakfast sandwich-- the maple bacon jam is, for a lack of better words, AMAZING!
I wouldn't bring a large group here though because of the pace of service but its definitely good for a small group.
I ate here for brunch and it was a great experience. Endless mimosas for $30. The music was great, wish it was louder. It was a pretty laid back atmosphere which was great for girl talk and hanging out with friends. The food was good. Everything was reasonably priced.
Our Server was fantastic, light-hearted and fun. She was really attentive and comfortable with our group taking our time to finish the meal. Brunch food was delicious but nothing that would blow your mind. We had the fresh donuts, chicken slider, tacos, and avocado Cesar salad.
This restaurant is amazing!! The staff and the management was just as beautiful as the food! Weird to say but soooo MIAMI! Everyone was gorgeous, kind, and extremely hospitable. I had the signature Sufcomber with the agave sriracha on the side, green tea and a shot of their colada cuban coffee! This meal cured my hangover and allowed me to cont' with my long MIA day! I can not remeber the managers name when i was there but he was so welcoming!
I do not understand why this isn't a top local restaurant. The food is superb. My family and I have have several excellent meals here. The appetizers are killer. The pork belly tacos, burrata, and the grilled octopus were all amazing. Happy hour is great and the buffalo alligator was superb.
The people watching from the outside seating is awesome right on Collins. Great spot.
