Garlic Cheese Bread - Half Order
Prime Rib Sandwich
Served open-faced on sourdough bread, topped with crispy onions and a side of creamy horseradish.
SUCH A GREAT, FUN, HIP, PLACETOGET TOP NOTCH SERVICE and delicious food. Huge bar with tvs. Comfortable booths. Make reservations. It's popular. Steaks are huge and grilled perfectly. Garlic bread was unreal. So good. Thanks Marti!
Smokehouse, per the usual, is consistently fantastic. For a special occasion, for an evening with friends, it never fails to deliver! The service is always top notch, the food is wonderful, and you have to love the decor, the red leather booths, the oversized movie posters.
We went there for the October anniversary special. The service was really great and the food was yummy. A real value. We enjoyed it very much
Put us at a table that comfortable seats 4, unfortunately we were a party of 6
I know restaurants are short staffed but we sat for 15 or more minutes until we flagged someone down to get us started. The restaurant was not overbooked there were many empty tables so I feel like the manager was trying to only allow certain number of reservations because of the staff shortage, but still it was not very good attention. The server that ended up helping us, I forgot his name was great and really tried to take care of us, it was definitely not his fault that this had happened.
Classic, must-visit LA landmark. Staff is friendly and very professional. Food is really good and drinks have heavy pours. Highly, highly recommended for ambiance, history and cuisine.
Been here a few times in the few months since moving to LA. Love this place. Definitely from another era but a great experience every time. Had a different server each time and all good. Food is good too f not the best , however, a terrific value compared to the more upscale steakhouses in Beverly Hills. One of my favorite songs on laces for as good time.
Throwing caution to the wind, we grabbed our masks and our vaccination cards and went to dinner at the Smoke House. We couldn’t pass up visiting them on their 75th Anniversary and as the Smoke House never disappoints we both knew that dinner would be wonderful.
The food is never anything less than superb and last evening’s meal was no exception. Starting off with their legendary Cheese Garlic Bread and a glass of wine, things just kept getting better from there. My wife’s chicken parmigiana was delicious as was my double cut pork chop with apple stuffing.
Kudos to Hector who, as he has done many times before, put real artistry into his profession of being a waiter.
The service here is so amazing and welcoming and the food is really good
We had a great - and very tasty - time at the Smokehouse and hope to go back again soon. Thanks
Smoke House has been around 75 years & I enjoyed the history and decor & the food was wonderful especially the cheesy potatoes
We enjoyed attending during the restaurant's anniversary celebration. My steak was excellent! However, I ordered a side salad, requesting that it be brought out first, and our waiter forgot it entirely.
Great environment, fantastic memorabilia and delicious food. And even though the restaurant was mostly empty we did get seated right next to a booth with 2 LOUD talking business men discussing inappropriate not kid friendly topics. We also had a server that acted like he definitely didn’t want to be there 🤷🏽♂️
Overall 10/10 would go again. 🙌🏽✨
Food was great, servers were outstanding, and we loved the Music. I will definitely come back soon.
Sinatra Steak was hot and just like I ordered.
I know they can go another 75 Years.
DROPPED THE BALL. We have been eating at and loving the Smoke House for decades, but last night was pretty bad. The service was almost non-existent, they messed up orders and my Sole Almondine was rock hard like it had been done in a deep fryer. The Beef Stroganoff was really a tone of noodles and almost no beef.We were not impressed by one of our usual favorite restaurants.
We will be back, as I would guess it was something like an off understaffed night, but it was pretty poor all around.
Everything was superb, except for the lack of care by the kitchen staff when it came to my fiancé’s allergies. We asked for no mushrooms on either fish we ordered, and his was brought out with them in it, and we found mushrooms underneath my chicken cutlets after he had eaten done of my dinner. FOH staff took care of us very well because of it, but the BOH needs to step it up. We will definitely return, but our first experience should’ve been better.
Excellent food and decided to eat at the Bar. Bryan the bartender was amazing and helped us with our choices of food since it was our first time. Definitely will be back!
Celebrating 75 years in Toluca Lake, the same year the Rams and my parents arrived in Los Angeles, the Smoke House is an institution. Los Angeles unfortunately has the reputation of discarding its history. From Ciro's to the Mediterranean to Frascottis to Chasen's and Scandias so many of our famous dining establishments and legendary locations have disappeared into the mists of time. Fortunately the Smoke House and its traditional menu survive. The Encino location long gone, thank goodness it still exists near the film studios in the community of Toluca Lake. Nine years old when I was born the restaurant and its diverse menu still packs in a crowd as Covid Restrictions ease on a Thursday Night. Loved my birthday cheesecake and the Sole Amadine not necessarily in that order. The atmosphere is as classic as the menu. People no longer dress for dinner there but shabby chic is not recommended. Treat yourself to a very special part of Los Angeles History and have a delicious time.
We had alovely and memorable evening with neighbors and friends. The service was Great! Our server, Who happened to be the bartender, Brian, was very attentive, friendly and accommodating. The food was perfect! We order from their 1946 menu , during their 75th anniversary, great value for our dinner! And to top it off, every second Thursday of the month Rat Pack Ricky is and stage singing beautiful songs to make it a perfect evening. He has an awesome voice!
Generous portions and variety. Lovely patio, and helpful servers.
Wonderful Birthday Dinner perfection in every way, Smoke House has great cooks everything delicious Pork Chop dinner incredible as was Veal dinner choice on 1946 Menu, sides generous and tasty... high recommended!
The service was wonderful and the food was amazing! Definitely one our our favorite restaurants.
We loved everything about our evening at the Smoke House! From the moment we arrived, the service was kind and attentive. The ambiance is classic. The food was delicious. And they made celebrating 4 birthdays and 1 anniversary extra special with not one but two songs!
First time visit to this place. Food and service were great. Loved the authentic old school look and vibe. Booth seating was a tad uncomfortable for me-- table seemed a little oversized for the booth, and found it difficult to adjust. Will be coming back.
We had the best server. She was amazing!!
food was a little salty on steaks, prime rib and Hamburg steak or ground steak...good service...seats need to be redone..springs getting to you in the wrong place...
Yes, it was around when your grandparents were kids, but the food and service are still top drawer.
Was an amazing and memorable experience, one of the best dining experiences i ever had in my life! SmokeHouse is one of the best restaurants in the world!
We took a friend to dinner and I had a dish that I used to have in the 1970's! The Caesar Salad with grilled shrimp. I used to have this with my mom, so it has special memories for me. Although we supported this restaurant through the pandemic,
There is a new energy especially post-Pandemic and especially on Saturday nights!
Thank you for keeping this splendid dish on the menu, and also the Kendall Jackson Chardonnay!
Iconic Smokehouse in Burbank. What can I say? A great way to spend a Saturday afternoon with my friends!
This was our first time at the Smoke House and we were pleasantly surprised by the old school feel, service and the music was awesome! We highly recommend this restaurant!
My dear friends birthday! Our waitress was great, the meal perfection, my martini divine. Comfortable and delightful!
Thank you for being you!!
Had lunch with 4 family members and we loved everything about the historic Smoke House. Hadn't been there in many years and we were pleasantly surprised. We plan to go back soon.
Great service and short wait times to be seated and for the food to be served.
Great food and absolutely outstanding service. Everyone was eager to give us whatever we needed, from water to extra napkins, to a special congratulations on our anniversary. This is our favorite restaurant.
Classic 1940s Supper Club. Old Hollywood Hangout that has become cool again...Love this place
Always have a great time at the Smohe House and the Jimmy Angel show.
Great night with great service. Ambiance was wonderfully old school.
