The Smoke House
**All Tables are High Top**
Went for brunch-good variety and overall good quality of food. We were a party of 8 and they really cram people in- it was hard to navigate and get in and out from our table. Overall it was favorable
Always a favorite to celebrate a Birthday party! This year we combined THREE Birthdays into our dinner Saturday! Left overs were amazing too!
Another great evening at the Smokehouse. Food, drinks, service and entertainment by Skyline was awesome. This is our go to place for all our special occasions.
After a play in hollywoody
Loved every bite of it!!
I've been coming here since I was a kid in the 70s for regular dinner and also special events (80th birthday, wedding receptions, etc.). The food is always great and the staff are wonderful.
We love the Smokehouse. Great food and fantastic atmosphere of old Hollywood.
Always a pleasure to dine here. Really great atmosphere and food is always very good. Probably the best value for the money in all of L A County/
Our reunion was enhanced by going to the Smoke House. The filet was the day's special.
I got a filet mignon with two sides. I got a baked potato which was huge and I tried to substitute the green beans for some other vegetable but they only had green beans. I ordered the steak medium rare, it came back rare & burnt on the outside. We ordered their famous garlic bread that The waitress didn’t bring until our dinners came. She also talked my husband into getting one of the most expensive mixed drinks on the menu & didn’t bother to notice that he didn’t like it. I thought maybe she would see it was still full & offer to comp it or at least offer him something else to drink. The only thing that was decent was the baked potato.
Old School Charm. Fantastic Comfort Food. Great staff. Extremely responsive. Garlic cheese bread is manna from Heaven and they now ship it to you!
This review is for the Smoke Works in Bloomington, Indiana.
Great BBQ in Bloomington! Service was great and the waitstaff friendly and knowledgeable. We had a great meal and dining experience. In fact, we went twice in two days, it was that good! We went once for lunch and the other for dinner.
For Appetizers we had the Deviled Eggs with Brisket and the nachos. Both were excellent and came out quickly. Ample toppings on the nachos and a lot of flavor in every bite.
For dinner: the wings and ribs, a Southern salad with pulled pork and an avocado ranch dressing, a pulled pork sandwich, and a Dixie Two-step platter. The meat was juicy, tender and perfectly smoked. The salad was delicious and the avocado ranch dressing is a perfect compliment (note you do not have to have meat on the salad and they have a variety dressings). Loved the spicy croutons too.
We had the cornbread, cole slaw and mac n cheese as sides. All very good.
The four types of homemade BBQ sauces that were served with our meals is complimentary and all equally delicious. In fact, if they bottled and sold the sauces, I would have purchased one or two of them.
For dessert they have an excellent banana pudding that we tried on the first visit. On the second visit, we tried the dirt pudding. Both were creamy and yummy.
Local beers were good.
Portions are perfect.
It was on the quieter side when were here but I imagine it is more lively when Indiana U has a football or basketball game.
Overall, I wouldn't change a thing.
The Smoke House has been one of my favorite restaurants for 50 years! Now you know how old I am! It has a great atmosphere for us oldies but we have been there when it has been loaded with a younger crowd and has a great energy then too! The management staff was very receptive to my minor complaint (so minor I will not mention it here). Our server, Ireland, was very attentive and checked back with us several times. She loves her job and it shows. The Smoke House will remain my go-to place for celebrating a special event or just celebrating Mondays!
Dinner was good, however we were celebrating a special occasion and the waiter either was not told about it or he forgot. We waited, he brought the dessert tray and we even dropped a hint about the birthday, and NOTHING. Before we left, we spoke with the host and he said..."its the waiter's fault" and there was nothing that could be done." My husband picked out this restaurant for his birthday and we left very disappointed.
Very reliable. We love to go here with friends. Great martinis. Fridays and Saturdays are good if you like live music.
Great food and great value for Sunday brunch! A must try in LA!
I went to the Smoke House with my family to brunch with my family to celebrate my birthday. I has such a great time. We sat outside and enjoyed the flowing mimosas and the amazing wide selection of food. I will definitely be coming back to especially for birthday celebrations. Service was great!
Great old time movie restaurant. Old time red vinyl booths, great garlic bread and a live band!
I like a lot about the Smoke House but last night it was over crowded and very noisy. We couldn’t have a conversation. They had a special menu for Valentines Day (which was the day before). And it was limited. The waiter was amazingly good I wish I could remember his name. I’ll go again but choose a different time. No more Saturday nights.
The server we had was outstanding, he went over and beyond what was expected. We were very happy with him!!
The Prime Rib was tough and hard to cut with the steak knife. The cheese bread is the best!! The King Crab legs were delicious.
We all had a great time. Our service was excellent. Thanks so much!
Outstanding as always. Dining there since the very early 50's.
Great place with an old school vibe. Their garlic cheese bread is the best. And the best meals here are the classics - prime rib, shrimp cocktail, filet mignon. The lounge acts they have here always a nice touch as well.
Nice prevalentine dinner. My filet was only okay and not as good as their prime rib, New York, Porterhouc=se or barbecue items. Always great garlic bread and the band we went to see Andy Starbuck Duncan Trio was outstanding. Willlbe going back in April to see the band again.
Some of the food was good, some of it wasn't. It wasn't a bad experience overall, but I left feeling somewhat disappointed.
Outstanding again and again
I brought my book club female members to The Smoke House for lunch. We had a delightful time. All remarked that the menu had a wide variety of food choices to suit many tastes. In addition, we were very pleased with the service...not overwhelming but appropriate. The servers were a step ahead of our needs. Will be back again.
Great neighborhood legendary restaurant. Always good and not loud so one can actually have a conversation with friends! Be aware no separate checks.
Parent’s 60th wedding anniversary. It was a nice night!
It's a grand old place with wonderful food, service, atmosphere and feeling of Hollywood history!
Awesome old Hollywood vibe. Great service and food, will defiantly go back.
We love The Smokehouse for its ambiance, food, and history. Our server, Marco was outstanding. Friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. It was a great evening.
Wonderful, as always! This is a landmark restaurant that my family has been coming to for 40 years & it never disappoints. Food & service were amazing, & they sang Happy Birthday to my mom w/ dessert, which really made her 86th birthday special...this is our go to place for special occasions!!
The sole reason for our return to Burbank! Endless crab legs, mimosas, and all brunch favorites. Hector is the most amazing of waiters. We will be back!!
Come here everytime we're in LA.
Never disappoints. The garlic bread ti die for...lol
Great food and always great service. The garlic bread is amazing!
Dining at the smokehouse was a very enjoyable evening. It felt authentic and filled with lots of history. There was plenty to see visually with all the old photographs on the walls. The food was great. Would totally recommend!
We loved the food and especially enjoyed experiencing Marvin Robinson’s band and music in the bar! Hope to go again soon.
Come here all the time. It’s a FUN experience.
